Really, now. I've been doing custom draperies and roman shades in the U.S. for almost 3 decades. What do people want? It takes years of learning to become an expert in your field, which is why these things cost so much (though not as much as "new" furniture does. Expecting this person to "give" all his secrets away would be equivalent to him going into your fridge and taking food out of it, or expecting you to give your goods or services away for free.
