Each Actor represented Easy Company very well. To do this with Honour and Integrity in a way that they show people of today what they endured to survive what was throughen at them. Then without question do it all again, very rare in todays times and maybe thats why we are such ore of their action as individuals and as Easy Company. Inspiration to us all.
Tom Hank's man, you can't get any better then him, as a person, actor and a director, what a humble man , he is the best in this hollywood washers. love him.
i was watching some pohotos funny topic ones.......and this freaking topic about ''wierd photos'' came up, i saw babe hefron drawing realistic as an art. and some asshole put that photo name ''wierd art'' wtf ?
8:13, that man could not have said it any better. they lost their lives, lived each day wondering whether they are going to live or not, they died saving their friends lives, lost legs (Guarnere) trying to save their friends, for the better of the country. theres never gonna be braver men then the men in WWII
@Angusgibb everything you said up until the part of "America!!" was good, all europe allies were brave too and fought, also in WW1 they fought. except you dont see a series about them. these people fought to save the world of tyranny, not for the glorification of themselves or to make their country better than everyone elses
8:12 - 8:43 Damn it. That's just what's it all about. It's so good to see that the actors are so heavily involved. This is just.. I am just speechless.
I hope to grow up and get into the movie business myself as well. Doing a thing like this would be a dream come true. One hell of a dream.
But; that is not as relevant as their message. Never forget. Never forget any of this. I live in Holland myself, and I think that, if not for these heroes, I could not have such ambitious dreams. Thank you.
Does anyone know the name of the piece of music that starts at 2:28? I'm pretty sure it's not on the the Band Of Brothers soundtrack. This piece of music was also used for the "Previously on Band Of Brothers" segment prior to the episode starting during the series original run in 2001.
Man, this is such a masterpiece. I actually had strongly war related dreams during the progress of watching the series. Personally Band of brothers also made me to go trough a period on which I spent a great amount of time thinking about war. My home country has seen many wars and I have an enormous amount of respect for those who fought in them. I wouldn't be here without them.
This truly is a work of movie art. Greets to all from Finland!
This was an amazing series. It was perfectly portrayed to show the heroes of the war.
I dont want to sound rude when I say this, but who gives one if some of the actors were British? Damian Lewis and Ross McCall and Shane Taylor and the other British stars played the roles to perfection and honoured the members of Easy Company so why complain?
BTW I love what Damian Lewis, Donnie Wahlberg and Richard Speight Jr say about the men of Easy - they are all so true. They were heroes.
Kind of funny to me seeing the actor for Major Winters speaking in a British accent, do'nt seem right (werid) 1s time i heard him speak like that. Anyway, all the comments from the actors are so very true & populations of the world should have this burned into them & be reminded daily about the horrors of war so that the experience of it will never ever happen again. But, the experience is still going on strong as ever in parts of this most beautiful world that we have the honor of experiencing
I know that things were pretty bad but, no long johns for winter fighting men. Why wasn't an organization back home working on this I'm not trying to be disrespectful pretty sad state of affairs when your country can't even supply longjohns for their fighting men that have to be in the most brutal eviromental conditions possible. I can't, don't even want to imagine what these guys experienced.
I had no idea a lot of the cast was British. Their American accents are so convincing. :) I guess I shouldn't be surprised, though. They're all incredible actors.
@verybigspin i watched the first episode trying to keep an open mind. but after the first 3 i prefer band of brothers, because it shows more of their stories during the war, as opposed to the pacific which right now focuses mainly on the aftermath of the war and the impact it had on the marines lives.
You gotta give credit to what a professional jobs those actors put on. The fact that many of us had no idea half of the actors were British until learning it afterward just show you how well those British actors had protrayed their roles as American soliders.
Even Tom Hanks admitted that he had no idea some of the actors were British (check out the video "Band of Brothers Première in Normandy")
Okay. Someone explain to me why EVERY TIME I see posts about band of brothers its either America vs Britts, or something negative about American politics in TODAYS world. What do Politics in TODAYS world have to do with Band of Brothers in WWII??????? Nothing. So cut the shit and stfu, and at least talk about the damn mini series. Stupid fuckers.
Lewis played Winters so convincingly and the fact that they have physical or should i say facial resemblance,i cant think of a better actor to play that character, regardless of his british blood. those who comment about it negatively are just pure a-holes.
and btw the series come acros more real with more unknown actors instead of tom cruise as example major winters would be soo gay i think thats the reason why tey used brittish actors so u dont say hee that guy played in that movie and that one in that then the whole realistic story falls apart so its better this way
btw i live in holland and ive bin to bastogne and i think i speak for the whole country of the netherlands/dutch that were very thankful for what allied soldiers bin trhough for us!
@bleushift Thankx for the really nice comment. It's really nice to know that someone far away from me (Edmonton, Alberta) has a sincere & grateful attitude. It was a terrible event in human time, people dying of starvation, what's whorse is that their loved 1s had to watch. My sincerest thankx to you & your great country, farewell .
in the series itself they come acros as american soldiers without brittish accent and thats a great thing it shows how good the actors are so dont talk shit..
WHOOO CAARESSS aslong as they are believeble as american soldiers and thats exacly what theyve done
Oh morons!! Cos the bloody thing was, like an aweful lot of 'American' films, filmed in England. If you imdb it, or if your British, you'll recognise that a lot of the supporting cast are British tv stars ie Marc Warren. Oh, and by the way, Damien Lewis has an ENGLISH accent!
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
THAT IS ABSOLUTELY FLABBERGASTING. The most AMERICAN guy, winters, turns out to be English, with a british accent...WTf?! Enlighten me, why did they bother using him inthe first place for an american person, why bother having to make him fake an ameircan accent whenthey could just find a true americanactor and get over this voiceproblem to begin with>??
you answered your own question. They used him because he played the part brilliantly, so much so that you thought he was the most 'American' what ever that means.

I think all you folks who are getting so mad that they used British actors to play American's need to get over it.
There are a lot of British actors who play as Americans and they're amazing.
If anything, we should be giving them kudos for playing an American so amazingly.
I thought the miniseries was dead on and thumbs up to the actors.
No matter WHERE they were from they were all amazing.
