guitar and voices are not live. You can hear the echo in the voices, and at 0:27 you can see the wire is making a loop, so probably the girl is holding the end of the wires. They are not plugged in...

(oh, and it's not possible that there is a small recorder on their back)

@RJSampsonite I think it might be a mix of both. At 0:52 you can see that he has an ear piece in so maybe they recorded the guitar and the the ocean sounds at the beach, but the vocals are definitely not from that same take. It's way too much of a room sound to be live from the beach

this is no live recording! 2:16 differs from whats the guy is playin on the guitar and with all the wind an no microphone windscreen on the microphone, they never would've been able to record such a nice quality! maybe they put up the mircophone to add the wind in the beginning and at the end of the song, or the add some live feeling to it in the mix.
