Well actually, it was always believed that the alphabet was from Kyrill and Myphodiy, but when in reality there was an ancient russian language before that.

There was script before them in Russia, but since all the proof was burned there isn't much russians can do now about it.

It does sound like greek in a way though. So I do agree :)

P.S. My mom is a proffessor in Uni in Russian language and literature + I'm Russian :)
