  • I love that song awww

  • 0 dislikes.Is that such a surprise people!?!?!?!

  • Lennon had such a great Voice!!!

  • 0 dislikes .. good job humanity !

  • 0 dislikes:D

  • when replying, please attempt to use sentences, and not single words, which relate to nothing in particular

  • @observe45 Dude, Bob Dylan was a legend! When it came to lyrics, his stuff topped anyone, even the beatles (and I'm a HUGE Beatles fan). His day didn't come and go within weeks, as you say. He was one of the most influencial artists of the 60s and was considered by american youth as the "spokesman of his generation". And about his voice, of course he's nothing compared to a McCartney or a Lennon, but you don't listen to Bob for that- you listen to him because his songs are excellent.

  • George's hat is so adorable xD

  • It reminds me when I went to see Pearl Jam in Paris in 2006. Eddie Vedder covered this gem on his own.

  • john doing it a lot better than dylan is my impression.

  • Beatles 4 ever ! beatlefreaks

  • @gabriel97639

    It's not a clarinet I play a clarinet so I know.

A clarinet is nothing like the instrument in this song. A clarinet sounds more mellow

  • Lennon was the Beatles......until he went anti-war liberal crud music.

  • ...you've got to hide your love away.

  • Gone a good time without shaving.

    Im love sick.

    Oh yeah?

    Nah, Im just lazy.

  • Liefde....................love................

  • no one think its called "you've got to hide your love". it has "away" in the title.

  • you've got to hide your love AWAY. little typo.

  • When "yesterday" by Paul McCartney was getting all the playtime, this MUCH BETTER SONG remained in the shadows until enough people heard it and appreciated it for the musical masterpiece it really is.

  • Just another facet of their everyday brilliance. probably written on the back of cigarette card. We were so lucky!

  • No one dares to push the dislike button!

  • @rizman2006 Don't mention it!! It only encourages the bastards!!

  • One of their very best songs ever written!

R.I.P John Lennon and George Harrison.

  • I played the flute solo in this o3o

  • This picture looks photoshopped before photoshop even exsisted! Lol, The Beatles were way ahead of their time :). I never noticed how simple these pictures were until i started the photoshop course i'm on now in College.

  • one of the best songs, considering the beatles are the best group ever

  • @matteighm The Beatles were huge Dylan fans, man!!

  • @jeffreygaudreault en especial John Lennon ♥!

  • lovely song with great flute instruments and of course the hardest instrument to play THE TAMBOURINE! Great song, great album, great band enough said even though 1 thing i didn't like about this song is it's way too short lol other than that it was A-okay :).

  • @samusic160 agree with you, but if you see beatles´s movie "help", you´ll see that is a clarinet

  • @gabriel97639 and ringo bored so funny

  • @gabriel97639 umm no its actually a flute I play the flute I know what one looks like and in the movie its not a clarinet because with a clarinet the bell goes down and in the movie he is holding it to the side like a flute if you get what i am saying.

  • @baerbear825 The flautist (for it Is a flute) was in fact John Lennon, who learned to play the riff, for that one song.

  • @observe45 wrong

  • @kimsollecito i think you mean ringo haha,, ipods auto correcting....sheesh. i hate auto o.O

  • Amazing.

  • fantastic

  • And as if John's beautiful phrasing here wasn't enough to bring out the elegance of both melody and Dylanesque lyrics, the short but gorgeous flute arrangement beginning at 1:47 manages to add even more charm to this gem!

  • nice tamborine.

  • Del mismo LP

  • Don't think this is a Dylan style song at all.... It's an Irish style folk song.

  • ohhhhhhhh....

    amazing.

  • LOVE IT

  • the picture you put up is a picture of the CD version, not the actual LP cover :P

  • Some of you obviously don't know the connection with this song and Dylan. Earlier in the year when they wrote the song (which ended up in the movie Help) they visited California and were at a party meeting Dylan. It was their 1st encounter with marijuana as Bob got them high ;-) after which John was experimenting with the "sound" Dylan had. Hence this result. I read this account in a book written about the Beatles history in great detail.

  • One of my top 5 beatles's tunes.

My Mom said I use to sing this when I was a wee lad...

    Simple Genius...is that an oxymoron?

Love them, hate them?....everybody knows a Beatles tune front to back.

  • you forgot the "away" in the title

  • The story behind this song is very sad.

  • @Benzin819 Tell us!

  • LOVE THE BEATLES PRESS LIKE

  • This is awesome!

  • I love this song so much <3333

  • John doing his Dylan impersonation.

  • @matteighm Yeah but the only thing that gives it away is his british accent lol

  • @matteighm And an insanely good one, haha.

  • @matteighm Dylan who?

  • @observe45 lol, no offense... but really?

Bob Dylan. In my opinion, at least, he's kind of like the American John Lennon.

  • @ThatOneMusicGuy789

No offence taken, I was employing what we British call 'Irony'.

Dylan is never going to be much more than a nasal-chanting monotone, and his day came and went within weeks.

There can never be an 'American John Lennon', as the upbringing of teens in both countries was (and still is) totally different.

Dylan middle-class, well-heeled, Jewish, Lennon working class athiest.

  • @observe45 Well, I wouldn't say he's THAT bad. He was a legendary song writer, you could give him that. Also I'm just referring to status, so to speak. He was known probably as well as John Lennon. In that sort of boat.

I'm terrible at sensing sarcasm, so I apologize. Lol, my bad.

  • @observe45 I read that when They met John told Dylan His lyrics were great but Not so His music and Dylan responded how the Beatles had such lovely music but didnt say much. This had a profound influence on John.I guess it's moot now as The Beatles are My all time favorite band

  • @ThatOneMusicGuy789 Bob Dylan is beyond brilliant... Most of the great Pop and Rock songwriters of the 60's were influenced by him. He literally changed the face of Rock music.

  • Yes, this is a Fantastic song. I love John's voice on this one. Thanks so much!!

  • thanks so much for uploading the whole album darling.XD 5 stars! I love this song!
