pd6403, Just wanted to add that Michael sings a wide variety of music in this PBS concert, from Broadway to Opera, to songs made famous by Frank Sinatra and Mario Lanza. Also some Neopolitan songs like Core'n Grato and Torna a Surriento, and even a Spanish song: Granada. His voice has gotten even better in recent years, but this concert and the talent he displays in it is nothing short of STUNNING! This is the concert that first made me a fan, but we are still waiting for a new DVD!!

pd6403, Actually there IS a video for sale (VHS) of Michael Amante's PBS concert with bonus material, recording studio, interviews, etc. Go to the WLIW21 website (Shop 21) and in the list of videos available, click on PERFORMANCE. You'll then find about 88 videos in that category arranged alphabetically, and Michael's is several pages ahead, approx. the 43rd one. It's fabulous & excellent quality and only $8.99 now, since it was originally aired 10 years ago. You'll love it - ENJOY!!

I saw Michael Amante at Ruth Eckerd Hall recently and he was wonderful. I wish some videos of him were available commercially.

I just got home from an Amante performance in Daytona Beach, Fl. It was perhaps the best concert I have ever seen. I have seen many singers perform and Amante is right at the very top! Tony Bennett said it best: Michael is the next Mario Lanza.

I just saw Michael Amante for the first time. He performed a tribute to Pavarotti at the Carnegie Library Music Hall in Munhall, PA.

WOW! What a voice! I can't wait to see him again. And he is easy on the eyes,too.

FOMANTE2 - What a great Amante fan you are!! Yes, this is an excellent video to show Michael Amante's versatility and performance style. He has a beautiful voice and a dynamic stage presence. I only wish there were more videos here like this, and also that they would show some full performances of OPERA ARIAS. That would be especially nice - to show the full power of his voice. since he sings so much operatic music in his concerts and on his CD albums.

I wanted to add that I admire you for doing charity work. It also helps having a beautiful and supportive wife and your strong faith. I am lucky to have that too. Hi Sam & Anna, After I sent you the link to Michael's new video, I am pleased (but not surprised!) that you were impressed enough to write such nice comments to him. BTW, Michael wrote the English lyrics to one of the songs shown (Ho Bisogno d'Amore). I also want to point out that one of the blond women in the audience (during his singing of "MORE") was EVA FRANCHI, the widow of Sergio Franchi. She used to promote Michael heavily, & said he was her favorite "romantic tenor", after Sergio!!

Do you remember the CD I gave you that has 20 tenors singing "Nessun Dorma" (and one soprano and me, the baritone)

I particularly liked your "Over the Rainbow", sung with feeling and passion. I love the cut-away shots of ladies singing along to and enjoying your performances.

Tony Bennett was on the money as he called you the next Mario Lanza because, like him, you are at home with pops and classics.

Ever since that event (and actually before that when you sang at a Casino there and we had front row seats), my wife and I have been impressed with you.

Amante can't get any better he's over the top right now takes my breath away this video more than great. My old computor speakers are soo powerful I feel like I am there so I can't wait till my new computor and I reccommend 2 people taking video at Pittsburgh Carnegie Music Hall please.

Ooops, the end of my post should read: I LIKE MY MUSIC LOUD! That's why I loved being in the second & third rows at his Florida concerts last March, LOL. But who ever put together and uploaded this video still deserves 5 stars for doing it, and Michael of course got 5 stars from me for his performances in it! I'm also glad the video shows his dynamic style on stage. Even those who don't like his voice can NEVER claim that he's a boring performer!

Just wonderful ! It's so nice that there is finally a good promo video of Michael Amante on Youtube. I'm glad that it shows the variety of genres of music he sings. His middle initial should be "V" - for Mr. VERSATILITY! The only "complaint" I may have is that it isn't loud enough! The segments in the park have the best sound, but in general, even with the volume at full blast on both of our computers, it's not loud enough to show the true power of his voice. I like music my LOUD, LOL!
