@WhiteMGirl this is Huichol tradition, you can start by going to Tepic, Nayarit and go from there, there is a street next to the main square where Huichol people sell their artwork. We went to San Andres Cohamiata. Good luck.

this is bullshit...i've been around huichol people for several years now..also around NAC tradition for 4 years now...you can tell right now this woman is a businessman trying to push her "medicine" on people....there's too many fake curanderos in Mexico..traveling around taking advantage of people that haven't been around true curanderos/mara'akames/road man..

it is sad to see this! hicury is and andagered specie,and encourage americans to do this is ,helping to destroy the plant ,obiously she is not huichol indian,women from the wirrarica tribe are very reserved, and her confidence is scary, cause she talk to much, she cant be truth , by the way did you saw the peyote with roots and complete on a plastic container ?, that is exactly whay you dont do never ever!!.

@jazzlefty, I can't talk for Arcelia, although I know she has enough personal experience to be certain of some things, but as for hicury's you saw they are very much alive and blooming back here in Croatia :), spreading seeds across the globe to make sure that it will never be endangered species. But I agree with you, desert rituals and harvesting peyotes for consumption should only be done by Huichol, for the Huichol. Rest of us should grow our own.

I've been to holland few times for the ayahuasca ceremonies and rarely came across peyote ceremony so just wanted to know about the tradition and medicine(plant) you are in touch with. I'd like to come but not sure when will I have enough time. Peace
