I play the upright bass as well. Perhaps not as long as you have, but that is irrelevant. This is a legitimate musically genre, and slapping is a legitimate playing style. If it takes no talent, let's see you do it. I don't even really listen to this type of music, but I can recognize talent when I see it. I'd recomend removing your hea from your rectum and broadening your horizons. Just because you say something doesn't make you right. You aren't the final authority in these matters.
