ok so I made this light, it's rad but $40 is complete bs. 4' work light $19.88 2 bulbs $6.98 extention pole $13.97 tape $4.98 galv T $2.04 2gal pale $3.48 silver spray $4.17 galv plug $1.43 concrete $2.98 pvc $3.10 wire 7.08 not including dowels or zip tie or extention cord to make the light turn on. $76.75 I probably could have bought cheaper stuff or w/e but i couldn't get it any where near $43

Hi, saw your episode as to lighting, and must say is a cool tip. You can get it cheaper though, like wait until the local library or a factory is to be demolished, and you can get loads of these fluorescent light fittings for nothing. Just have to get some tubes, which are inexpensive nowadays, even at 5600 deree Kelvin. I did them like this for animation film stuff, which worked out very well.

Didn`t think much of the fart gum film though....

Are you using these types of lights during the 'how to' portion? 'Pro' lights? Clamp lights? To my eyes the how to portion seems to be lighted MUCH better than the test film. Like around 3:55, the highlights look blown out to me. What are the advantages of the flo lights? And what situations are these lights the right tool for the job, over clamp lights?

Well, the narration clips had way better lighting than the test clip with the cheap lights. Cheap lights had murky color and less detail definition. Did you use the same camera to shoot the narration and test clip?? Did you do more post editing on narration than the test clip??

I felt that at some points, the lighting was too strong. For example, the wall behind the couch was beyond white, it was glowing. The best as I can describe what i saw. And, it is only an opinion.
