love it but how do u make the x to close out program bigger the x in the right con...there is away to make that x bigger I just for got how to do that .......thanks..
Now I understand how it's possible you can sell thi product; if your consumers don't even know how to tap, drag, drop, scoll or flick (though I sincerely hope they do after this video), it's logical they don't know crap about computers. The things you can do with your hands are totally useless, it's all you can do with your mouse too. If you'd had a pinch feature you'd at least added SOMETHING to the experience. Huge waste of money and time, better luck next time.
I'm more interested in the Movie Maker which they did not feature here. I like iMovie but I'm not a fan of Mac products , and this com looks really good. But does anybody know if the movie maker here is easier to use since its touch ?
Wow that's fucking pathetic that they have to explain howbto slide your fucking finger. The saddest part is that there's actually pol out there who could use this tutorial... But HP shouldn't be helping them and in doing so saying it's okay to be a fucking idiot
A Mac is great if your a design student or something, but it is terrible if you are a gamer. PC works great on games. That's how my debat ended with me. I can't wait for this computer though. When get star map software; it will help me shift through thousands of stars in an instant way faster than a mouse would....plus I'm going to start building a decent music collection finally.
I was expecting to see something like this from Apple. Me hating Apple with a passion, I'm very glad to see something like this. HP is going in the right direction.
But Apple can't win. The Dell Adamo is about to fill the MacBook Air's niche, practically nullifying any reason to buy Apple's product. And HP has already beaten Apple to the plate with home user-oriented touchscreen PCs.
i got a touchscreen notebook (HP Pavillion tx2050) but after few months it's getting boring and then you grab the mouse, but folks don't forget it's still a pc and vista sucks...
For all those wondering this computer has a NVIDIA GeForce Go 7600 ... this is not a great card but you will be able to play COD4 on there will little to no lag depending on your connection. So ya you could play games on it but no this is not a gaming PC
Cool now, a headache later. I can see it lagging in the future, thanks to windows. No, I'm not a mac fanboy, but man, can you imagine, you touch it once, nothing happens. Again, again, and then you punch it, it breaks the screen and finally loads the music (based on you 1st touch, you know, windows lag), after 15 minutes touching. That can't be good.
yeah right.. what the hell are you talking about? it doesn't lag and there's so good touchscreen. and btw there is 4gb ram. i think that soon every computer looks like that
This computer has some good ideas mate. But it does lag a bit after a while, like all pcs. But, since you really interact with this one, its more noticeable than regular computers. 4gb means nothing when using Vista. Mine has 8gb and lags sometimes. I bet this HP will be awesome with the new Windows, but we'll just have to wait :D
well i have 3gb and my pc with vista doesn't lag much but i use also my hard drive memory.. but even with best computer internet explorer lags sometimes becase it's designed to suck badly
Thanks. I've been looking around more, reading reviews, and it seems like the thing has got a lot of problems anyway. I think I'll wait until windows 7 which will have real multi-touch.
Why do you want XP??? XP it's going to be obsolet in 1 year, cause all programs will be making for Vista an XP nothing!!! like in 1998 whit whin 98!!!
I has intended to buy one of these early next year, but I have a real concern. My friend bought one and loves it,but the first one made a "crunching noise" so it was returned. The second one delivered was a delight right up till the third day when it started smoking and in fact burning while is "pause mode" I really still want one BUT has it got a "cooling" problem? I would hate to have mine catch on fire one day out of its measly guarantee period. Can anyone help or advise please.
I love HP computers but a computer that copy's the sony vaio panel and a imac and add fake touch sencoring with no actural advantage, it is not a comuter i would like to buy, but i guess it would be good to use at work or something seeing then i wouldent have to pay for it, but ill never buy this computer. When touch sensitivity finally comes into computers its not going to replace a mouse as such but use all human sensores to creat something.
this is a complete Fail! that pc is not completely touch sensitive like the ipod touch or iphone, besides that menu is cheap, not feeling the appereance menu. Wait til Mac releases the Imac touch. but not bad for a HEWLETT PACKARD!
warning. this software is not fully multitouch technology. if you looking for that "iphone" multitouch experience, well you'll get just about 120% of that experience. for instance, when editing pictures, instead of allowing you to touch on the picture and rotate it or resize it, you press the rotate button to rotate the picture or crop button to resize the pic. That is just not smart; HP!
ah! but pictures can only really be rotated 90 degrees as seen on the macbook air and macbook pro's. that is why a rotate button is used. On the macbooks if you rotate the picture using 2 finger rotate on the touch pad, no matter where you let go the picture positions itself to a 90 degree angle, because thats how image files are shaped :)
iPhone perhaps has several touch features, but i gotta say, iphone isn't a computer so i dont know why you're bringing it up.
Apple does not have any multitouchscreen Notebooks. I have no idea what you talking about. However the iphone and this machine have one thing in common. they have touchscreen capabilities eventhough they are 2 different things. All i was trying to state was that the hp touchsmart doesnt give u a fully multitouch experience. If the experience is not great, you'll end up not using the multitouch features.
I really enjoy my tablet monitor, there isn't any other way (that I know of) to draw on a computer. Tablets have a niche for artists, and navigation is fine for me, even while I eat.
I do have to agree though, that touch-screens are more novelty, It would make a nice toy for the rich, but not all are rich.
It would be nice if my TX2 still had this software after the (manufacturer-provided) update to Windows 7. Where has it gone?!

SACmebaybee 3 years ago
Yeah, but what if you have it on a table right next to your recliner in the living room?
I'm thinking that would make the touch screen pretty cool.
How does the touch screen work while web browsing?
TritoneMcgee 3 years ago
Its works exactly the same as you would with your mouse.
Its touch sinsitive, so even a fly can use it.
It not multitouch, so basically you can only use it like a mouse.
Nothing really unique
just that the HP touch's screen is way bigger then a normal PC's.
And if you touched it when on the recliner
it'd probably fall off the table
lol

i didnt mean touch screen on the laptops, the actually touch pad supports 2 finger touch. Watch macbook air videos to see what i mean.
I think the HP multitouch looks great. Because the rotate is a button press doesn't mean its not enough touch features.
As i was saying, the ability to rotate the picture with multitouch is unecessary.

this is a waste of time and clearly designed to portray HP as 'cutting-edge.' there is a REASON that tablet PCs and touch-screens are failing.
this is a fun toy, but for everyday computing, what a pain. imagine trying to eat while at your computer, or if you wanted to just relax...
look how far the person extends their arm!
