  • Good stuff! It seems the movie is finally about to be released. We are looking for a late 2011 release. Worst case scenario would be an early 2012 release. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for this movie to be finally released. It's been a long wait...

  • he can't release the movie. Because if he does he will be fined and arrested. for "breaking the law". US really has nothing better to do.

  • @ParhamBaba I'm pretty sure the statute of limitations for all the traffic violations are a year or less in these states, so I'm pretty sure that is not the delay.

  • come on already..by the time they bring out this movie the record will be broken again

  • @NeloGSX it has been broken. I believe in the 2008 Bull run. 31:59 i believe

  • @acekazel Actually 32hours7minutes was set in the 1980s Alex's time across the country was 31hours 4minutes. He beat Rawlings time even before Rawlings called him to brag about it and he kept it secret!

  • How the hell did he see a unmarked car on opposite side? them some special binoculars or something?

  • @D0M1N8R1x yes, they are tasco 8x40's with a gyroscopic stabilizer.

  • @D0M1N8R1x Well when you are listening to the police radios, Have a plane spotting above. And know what a police car looks like. You'll find them before they find you.

  • is that guy plugged into the matrix at 0:40?

  • lol

  • hahahahaha lol

  • And the movie???

  • This movie needs to come out already! It's been well over two years since the record was broken!

  • I agree, but he said he couldn't make it known to the public until after 48 months due to the possibility of him still being prosecuted, can't wait for the movie though

  • actually 12months.....He had to wait a year.

I am tired of waiting for this film

  • Read the book The Driver. You will see why it takes a long time to get it out.

  • I read the book cover to cover within the first 2 days of its offical release. The movie is taking so long due to the editing process. I give it another year before its released. They are finalizing the picture sometime in the next month

  • I hear you I am starting to ponder if it will ever come out

  • Anyone know when the film is coming out? I head they have to wait a year or two so the police cant procecute or investigate

  • well they waited a year before they even released anything about breaking the record...I heard the film would be out in the spring of 08 but Since i haven't heard anything yet I would think the fall or maybe upcoming winter

  • range finding but the thing at the bottom is a gyroscopic stabilizer.

  • if im not mistaken the whining high pitch noise inside the car is the gyro stabilizer for the binoculars... any confirmation?

  • if you look at there speedo 150 was there rate of speed.

  • in poland we can do the longest way - it's about 980 km long - but he did almost 4000 km in 32 hours non stop - sick one.

  • the weis

  • chase planes are pretty nice.

  • its not a cops chase plane...

its PolizeiAir, an addition to the Team Polizei in 2006 if i remember right .... Alex Roy is most prepared Road-Rally driver that probably ever existed !!!

this is why the did it in 31 hours 4 minutes.

  • yup your soo trueee GOOO GUMBALLERS!!!!!!

  • he said chase plane not cop plane

  • its not a chase plane, its a spotter plane, he spots cop cars ahead for the car....

  • Tha'd be so cool!

  • it is.

you just have to read Alex Roy's book and you'll know it!!

  • I just read it. Its epic.

  • well their AVERAGE speed was 90-95. if u look in the vid they were doin almost 150.

  • For 32 hours straight?

  • i met this guy at the car show in miami yesterday and his car is sick. this man is insane.

  • i'm wondering what the white thing on the binoculars are...

  • Stabilizer.

  • I think the speedo was kickin 135mph if you watch the first of the video

  • If I'm reading the GPS readout correctly, they're making 136 mph.

  • yup your right............ they are crazy guys ain't they but you gotta show them respect for how insain they really are...lool

  • so I heard of other people getting busted for posting videos of them going really fast in their cars ... ex. the guy in England who got busted speeding in his 911 and posting it on youtube...

  • Being that this was done a year ago all the traffic violations expire

  • go walk in traffic??? moo??

  • not in america

  • This is great stuff; BTW nice feature article in the New York Times. You should post more videos of the trip.

    Cheers

  • what's the thing on the driver's head?

  • its a camera for some of the shots

  • Who were the people in the aircraft?

  • Hint: read "About This Video"
