maybe it was jsut me, but I found the dreadnought to be totally too much for one ship. I fired EVERYTHING I had and it still was too powerful. I only did a little bit of damage, even with full gun power.
Man, why can't they include a winning path in this no win situation. I destroyed a few capitol ships and a dreadnought. I still lost. WTH. We need Captain Kirk on this one. LOL
It would have been awesome if they had a 3rd alternate ending where you win by destroying all the Cat ships and killed the prince in a all out one on one dogfight. HECK YEAH
I tried to win this impossible battle by switching on the invinsablility cheat but even when i destroyed the Kilrathi dreadnout, i still lost. it would have been awesome if there was a way to win the war at this point of the game.
cats are cute. kilrathi are cats. so they are cute. I'd like to fight on their side instead on the side of the puny humans...so I could conquer and destroy earth. :>
@cloreal Be careful what you wish for friend, I would join them but they would kill me in the end because they are an honorable people and will say how could my honor allow me to betray my people and kill me (this happened in the wing commander tv series when someone betrayed the humans to the kilrathi)
@ScarFacedGangsta They only did that to the guy because he betrayed his people out of petty spite instead of having an honorable reason. Also, because he was a few grains of sand short of a litter box.
Not really, they are lions, if you think about it logically and we were on an equal footage to a lion, we'd lose. Think how many people the Ghost brothers killed before finally being brought down, and they were just ordinary African lions.
Not if you wind up on the losing track before the Alcor system. You can wind up on the Proxima path if you a) Lose the Tamayo system after failing to protect the skipper-targeted transport in Orsini, b) Lose the Blackmane evacuation after failing Locanda, c) Lose the Delius system after failing the Ariel incursion.

The only way to win this POS game was to not play. WC2 was the best of the series, all downhill from there.

@mmitchell86 Acutally at any part of the game if you screw up enough missions then you will start the endgame sequence to where this happens
