Well worth seeing movie. It has a deep intensity which keeps you close to the story.. The finale involves one of the most violent shoot outs in the history of cinema, I could say. My order of favouritism of the Harry Potter films: 1st: Goblet of Fire. 2nd: Chamber of Secrets. 3rd: Prisoner of Askaban. 4th: Deathly Hallows part 1. 5th: Order of the Phoenix. 6th: Philosopher's Stone. 7th: Half Blood Prince. Why is Half Blood Prince Last? Because the importance of the horcruxes wasn't expressed enough, and there was too much focus on romance. The battle scene at the end was DESTROYED!!! Hogwarts didn't even put up a fight. Dumbledore was killed too easily.
It was funny, got a lot of action and it was pleasant to watch on filmsi.co.cc. This movie was actually pretty good, i don't understand the people that say its bad.

If they were to keep to the story MORE and to make the hardcore fans happy, they should have split the 6th book into two parts and maybe even the 5th movie into two parts, becuase they could have- I know that they could have- put more into it, like Dobby was supposed to be in a couple of them, not just in the 2nd film-Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. I REALLY wished they had Peevs, he was funny, and they kept him out of all the movies...but whatever, it's my opinion. I love the series.

I really loved and enjoyed this movie on kòòkica. The movie was meticulously paced, and I thought it was fantastic. What I loved was that he was so insecure and yet he created this ultra-extroverted internet extension of the ego that will defines last several years.
i have not read the book yet, but if voldermort dies in the end. then i hope there be an 8th story, lets say the title is " harry potter and the rise of voldermort " now that would be cool

the movie by itself is good, but seeing as it´s an adaptation from a book, I must say it´s bad. I don´t know if that makes sense. I guess what I mean is that the movie is good for anyone who hasn´t read the book. If you have read the book and you did like this movie, you need to read the book again, because this movie is flawed in so many ways when compared to the book that not even 10 comments would be enough to point out all the uber mistakes and flaws.
so true. Same with movies 4 and 5. And by the looks of it, they are already screwing up Deathly Hallows even if it is in two parts. Apparently there will be no Regulus flashback, Pettigrew won't even die at Malfoy Manor (maybe he'll die in Part II), Crabbe won't be in the movie to die, and by looking at the trailer, Harry and Voldemort's final duel will be in the courtyard and no one will be watching like in the book. :(
yeah, I noticed those things too. The final battle against voldemort really pissed me off. In the book it was so fucking badass, with everyone watching and harry telling voldemort off. As for crabbe, I didn´t really see him in the part of the fire in the room of requirement, but maybe he was there and the trailer just didn´t show it. I hope I´m not gonna be as dissapointed with the seventh movie as I was with 5 and 6. The fourth too, but still it wasn´t as bad as 5 and 6. 8)

As for book adaptations that were great, ever heard of lord of the rings?? I love the books and I thought the movies were awesome too. So I guess there are people who can make a movie from a book that I like. They just aren't the people behind the Harry Potter movies.
@naal13 Order of the Phoenix was flawed too, you notice it in the Dumbledore and Voldemort battle. It did look good.. but it didn't match the story :|
@naal13 I've read all the books loads of times and yes the book is far better but of course they had to get rid alot of the book because the books is so long. It carries enough of the ideas from the book well enough IMO.

@naal13 your wrong. this movie is not flawwed at all and i have read the series and loved the movies. but the movie is not the book. how long do you really think this movie would be if it was spot on the book. for time sake in film adaptions, they must chop out detail to get in the main plot. its sad that you, and a million others refuse to accept that.

This movie was boring as shit. I'm glad I got it off redbox. It's as if it came out of the directors ass. Hardly any dialouge. Shallow intro to malfoy becoming a death eater. If you haven't seen it don't.
I don't know what film these guys were watching but I found absolutely NO relation between the storyline of the film and the book. Second best after Azkaban? The third film was the weakest in terms of plot, having not explained anything about the background, meaning that anyone who hasn't read the book won't understand why the characters act the way they do. This film has the same problem.

Everyone has many varying opinions on what their fav movies in the series are. I liked this movie..however it wasn't the best for me...I liked Prisoner of Azkaban and in 2nd place Goblet of Fire.

I felt that this film was one big build up, but again I felt the narrative was horrible, I was utterly most confused throughout until about 20 to 40 minutes before the end.
when i first watched prisoner of azkaban, i hated it, but when i watched it after reading the book i thoroughly enjoyed it. POA focuses a lot on the plot and toned down the action, so no one really enjoyed it. also, i coudn't get half of what those british actors were saying. But HBP, was a good mix of both, so i liked it a lot.

The major disappointment in this movie was the exclusion of the funeral. However, I PROMISE you that people will respect and enjoy Half-Blood Prince's lack of battle at the end once they see Deathly Hallows 2. I didn't like the H/G relationship when I first saw the movie, but I do now. Why? Because the fact that the kiss takes place in the RoR and Ginnys says "You'll never know what you'll find up here," is great foreshadowing to them coming back to the RoR in DH2 and her finding the diadem.
Thank you no one I talked t agrees with me. The director was terrible both 5 and 6 movies felt like a choppy sketch show that happened to have HP characters and a vague plot. The 6th was especially bad cause it didn't draw in the audience Dumbledore's death was very anticlimactic to the point where no one even cared and the reveal that snape was the halfblood prince didn't mean anything because the audience forgot what the whole point of the movie was. by far worst HPmovie

there are 7 books, but the 7th book, Harry potter and the deathly hallows, is being split into 2 films. Harry potter and the deathly hallows parts 1 & 2 are in production now. they will be released in november of this year and may 2011

I think this movie is great as a movie...all the technical aspects, music and even acting is better. As an adaptation of the book it still needed some major points to show maybe instead of the romantic aspect....anyway y really enjoyed it and i felt the heart and escence of the book was still there....altough they can do better with deathly hallows to come
I thought this was probably one of the worst movies I've seen this year. The kids were still sub-par actors, some of the lines were distractingly hammy, and the pacing was just terrible--the actual plot wasn't addressed until the last 30 minutes of the movie or so. After about an hour of horribly-acted, cheesy teen love drivel, I was waiting for the movie to end.
The only reason I watched this film all the way through was to ensure I didn't waste the money on rental - in any case I still feel cheated.
Previous instalments have always had lots of magic and excitement at every turn. This one is just flatline all the way. I was almost bored to tears.
The main point throughout it seems is the writers want to hold onto their young audience, now teens, and to include lots of soppy kissy crap instead of magic.

This is one of the best movies to sit watching with your partner or with couple of your best friends. It is a film you can really get into, one the best in years, unlike any other films. This got a couple of jumps off me and my friends. Enjoyable movie..enjoy more for free at kookicá!!!!!

For some reason I found this film to be the worst so far. The acting from Emma Watson and Daniel Radcliffe was poor. This film felt really weird.

the movie by itself is good, but seeing as it´s an adaptation from a book, I must say it´s bad. I don´t know if that makes sense. I guess what I mean is that the movie is good for anyone who hasn´t read the book. If you have read the book and you did like this movie, you need to read the book again, because this movie is flawed in so many ways when compared to the book that not even 10 comments would be enough to point out all the uber mistakes and flaws.

so true. Same with movies 4 and 5. And by the looks of it, they are already screwing up Deathly Hallows even if it is in two parts. Apparently there will be no Regulus flashback, Pettigrew won't even die at Malfoy Manor (maybe he'll die in Part II), Crabbe won't be in the movie to die, and by looking at the trailer, Harry and Voldemort's final duel will be in the courtyard and no one will be watching like in the book. :(

yeah, I noticed those things too. The final battle against voldemort really pissed me off. In the book it was so fucking badass, with everyone watching and harry telling voldemort off. As for crabbe, I didn´t really see him in the part of the fire in the room of requirement, but maybe he was there and the trailer just didn´t show it. I hope I´m not gonna be as dissapointed with the seventh movie as I was with 5 and 6. The fourth too, but still it wasn´t as bad as 5 and 6. 8)

As for book adaptations that were great, ever heard of lord of the rings?? I love the books and I thought the movies were awesome too. So I guess there are people who can make a movie from a book that I like. They just aren't the people behind the Harry Potter movies.

@naal13 your wrong. this movie is not flawwed at all and i have read the series and loved the movies. but the movie is not the book. how long do you really think this movie would be if it was spot on the book. for time sake in film adaptions, they must chop out detail to get in the main plot. its sad that you, and a million others refuse to accept that.

I don't know what film these guys were watching but I found absolutely NO relation between the storyline of the film and the book. Second best after Azkaban? The third film was the weakest in terms of plot, having not explained anything about the background, meaning that anyone who hasn't read the book won't understand why the characters act the way they do. This film has the same problem.

Everyone has many varying opinions on what their fav movies in the series are. I liked this movie..however it wasn't the best for me...I liked Prisoner of Azkaban and in 2nd place Goblet of Fire.

when i first watched prisoner of azkaban, i hated it, but when i watched it after reading the book i thoroughly enjoyed it. POA focuses a lot on the plot and toned down the action, so no one really enjoyed it. also, i coudn't get half of what those british actors were saying. But HBP, was a good mix of both, so i liked it a lot.

The major disappointment in this movie was the exclusion of the funeral. However, I PROMISE you that people will respect and enjoy Half-Blood Prince's lack of battle at the end once they see Deathly Hallows 2. I didn't like the H/G relationship when I first saw the movie, but I do now. Why? Because the fact that the kiss takes place in the RoR and Ginnys says "You'll never know what you'll find up here," is great foreshadowing to them coming back to the RoR in DH2 and her finding the diadem.

Thank you no one I talked t agrees with me. The director was terrible both 5 and 6 movies felt like a choppy sketch show that happened to have HP characters and a vague plot. The 6th was especially bad cause it didn't draw in the audience Dumbledore's death was very anticlimactic to the point where no one even cared and the reveal that snape was the halfblood prince didn't mean anything because the audience forgot what the whole point of the movie was. by far worst HPmovie

there are 7 books, but the 7th book, Harry potter and the deathly hallows, is being split into 2 films. Harry potter and the deathly hallows parts 1 & 2 are in production now. they will be released in november of this year and may 2011

I think this movie is great as a movie...all the technical aspects, music and even acting is better. As an adaptation of the book it still needed some major points to show maybe instead of the romantic aspect....anyway y really enjoyed it and i felt the heart and escence of the book was still there....altough they can do better with deathly hallows to come

I thought this was probably one of the worst movies I've seen this year. The kids were still sub-par actors, some of the lines were distractingly hammy, and the pacing was just terrible--the actual plot wasn't addressed until the last 30 minutes of the movie or so. After about an hour of horribly-acted, cheesy teen love drivel, I was waiting for the movie to end.

The only reason I watched this film all the way through was to ensure I didn't waste the money on rental - in any case I still feel cheated.
Previous instalments have always had lots of magic and excitement at every turn. This one is just flatline all the way. I was almost bored to tears.
The main point throughout it seems is the writers want to hold onto their young audience, now teens, and to include lots of soppy kissy crap instead of magic.
I'll never watch it again.

I thought overall the movie lived up to my expectations.
But what really upset me was that the director didn't show how close Harry and Dumbledore's relationship was.
I have read the books many times, and in the book I felt that their relationship was a lot more emotional and deeper then it was shown in the movie.
But I was actually very happy with the characters acting. Tom Felton who plays Draco Malfoy in the films did an amazing job.
