@SMTsquidge I read the KJV myself. However I have read many versions. If a person wants to read the Bible, and has the will to search for God, there are many versions that have lead people to Christ. I think a common sense approach will help a person to know what version they should read. As for this video. The author is an excellent portrayer of sarcasm and contextual whit. Also the bible was translated from Greek to English and the Greek translation was from the original Hebrew and that's where the confusion comes into play. The Greek translation has many errors making the English bible inaccurate to say the least.

And plate tectonics allow for volcanic activity. So these catastrophes that kill us now are partly responsible for us even being alive. One of the problems with religions is the lack of consistency among the practitioners. I personally don't agree with the road test theory and I do think humans have distorted the essence of religion. I agree, we know very little about the origin and black holes, but there is so much more we don't know about either. Such as the many unknowns of quantum mechanics, which ties into the state of matter inside a black hole. The lung worm is a parasitic life form that affects both mollusks and sheep, as well as other animals. The point is this organism has no origin of life. No matter what form you start from, it requires the other form to continue. Without this cycle the lung worm cannot exist. To infer this life form can be the product of slow evolution is a paradox.

The author does not realize that the verses in the Bible are continuous and that verse numbers and Chapter divisions were not added until the 1600s. Therefore, Genesis Chapter One and Genesis Chapter Two are ONE Genesis account for the creation of Adam and Eve. Consequently, Jehovah does not "change his mind" about the order of creation of Adam and Eve. He first states he created both and then provides the order of their creation. He does NOT change the order of their creation.

I think a common sense approach will help a person to know what version they should read. As for this video. The author is an excellent portrayer of sarcasm and contextual whit. @day7creation regardless of what use it could be to you, the "true" version in this context would be one taken from the original gospels and from all the other prophets etc. (btw when I say true, I do not mean in terms of its actual truthfulness in fact, but the version that is the most authentic, most likely to be in accordance with the original gospels.

@day7creation surely the version that the KJV was taken from would be more "true" in that respect, and so on. When translated, some of the desired meaning/effect is lost. Having a version which was made in the 1600s, c.15/1600 years after the time when those accounts were read are obviously not going to be accurate versions surely?

Also the bible was translated from Greek to English and the Greek translation was from the original Hebrew and that's where the confusion comes into play. The Greek translation has many errors making the English bible inaccurate to say the least.

@PAULOcbi Volcanoes released green house gases during the early formation of the Earth that were needed to make an atmosphere - which is needed to support life. And plate tectonics allow for volcanic activity. So these catastrophes that kill us now are partly responsible for us even being alive. Now, is there a better, more perfect Universe God could have created such that this wasn't the case? Dunno. But if a God does exists, I doubt the human mind could begin to even glimpse his motives

@PAULOcbi That's not true for all religions (e.g. Buddhism). And even for Christians, I think you will meet many who agree about the road test and many who wouldn't. One of the problems with religions is the lack of consistency among the practitioners. I personally don't agree with the road test theory and I do think humans have distorted the essence of religion. But that doesn't mean there is not God at all, but just that we have lost the meaning along the way: Basically love and compassion

@PAULOcbi im not sure about the apollo 11, but I did know about planetary formation. I agree, we know very little about the origin and black holes, but there is so much more we don't know about either. Such as the many unknowns of quantum mechanics, which ties into the state of matter inside a black hole. And we don't know the shape of the universe, so how can we know for sure if it a self existing matrix. Science explains a lot but people forget how far we still have to go

@RespectMyHate mostly by radio metric dating. We don't have an exact date but scientists have been able to find a good estimate. One cluster of rocks, and stone in Iceland gave a reading of 4.6 billion yrs ago into the past on the geological time scale (or strata,). All methods of carbon dating has pinpointed to the same time.Scientists make an estimate based on radioactive decay with various carbon dating techniques. This gives scientists a good idea of the age of various objects. That is how.

Look up the moab skeletons, and do you know what a mass spectrometer is? you probably don't. well anyway its a research tool, the MS provides dating that is more accurate than any other dating tool or method. This tool actually counts C-14 atoms and gives more accurate totals. out of all the organic material tested nothing was over 5000years of age. check it out.

The scientists say that these bones are quite recent. The scientists have come to a consensus that the bones were a few hundred years old. @RespectMyHate I am talking about specimens like Homo Habillis 70,000YRS, Erectus 100,000YRS AGO, Neanderthalis 45,000YRS AGO, Australopithecus Africanus 3 Million YRS AGO, Ardipithocus 3.5 Million YRS AGO. Look at those transitional forms in the fossil record and not something clearly recent.

I would think that believing in a talking snake, and being able to fit billions of different species in to a boat requires a lot more faith than than the facts i go by and not the ignorance that has been excreted from your mouth. @RespectMyHate Also can I just stress to you that whether you think Carbon dating works or not. Carbon dating is NOT used to date the age of the Earth. Mainly because Carbon dating can only measure things that are thousands of years old NOT things that are billions of years old. Idiot
