Too bad we can't go after the rich fuckers on capital hill and start executing them one by one like the drug cartel does when they don't like someone or someone gets in their way. These old ass bastards need to answer for all the economic shit they caused. Someone needs to get a group together and start fire bombing their houses.
So can I ask? Homes that were priced at $600,000., are selling for 250,000. Just want to know who is going to buy a 250,000 house? I am from canada and you need 5% down and at least $80,000 annual income to even try to buy a home. and soon they will need 10%. Are they still giving out 0% down mortgages in usa? My other question is this: how much did it cost to build these homes?
Las Vegas is almost the same. Houses that were selling for $320,000 are now at $120,000 and you can actually get a nice home in a good area for $50 - $60,000 if you want a foreclosure. But there aren't any good paying jobs out here, if you can find a job at all.

I'm all for incentives such as the electric car because the gov. pays for something to get done. I'm not cool with all the free handouts going on right now . the gov should spend our money on things that get stuff done.
something else you didn't bring up. do you think it's odd that with such a large cash inflow over normal we still have to make all of these cuts?
The collapse unfolds pretty much like Ayn Rand wrote about in her novel Atlas Shrugged. The country is run by more and more violent people who fight wars and take measures like subsidizing an electric car with money stolen from productive people. They haven't got a clue what caused the problems and want to solve it by stealing more money and giving it to their friends, with moral excuses provided by academics they pay.

I sold my home in California back in 2001 at a 300% profit and moved to a house on 9 acres in the Midwest. I'm so much happier here--different people, different culture. When the price of heating fuel shot up I just burned wood from the forest outside my door. Maybe a 40% decline is the bottom for Ca. real estate, maybe not. In any case, they're going to have to reboot their operating system.
Government can not tell the free market by law or with a carrot what kind of cars to make. It distorts the free market because politicians are not smart enough to know what the free markets want.
Sure it sounds like a good idea but a better idea is to remove all the auto restrictions that prevent a new car company from creating a car.
He absolutely right, this economic crisis will bring out the best or the worst of people's character. We will see who they really are when the economic crisis does happens.
Those AIG bonuses were under contract for YEARS and the government aleady knew about it before the loan, this is the same issue with fannie and freddie. government taking it back is unconstitutional. Also the government and the media are sweeping peoples anger away from them to AIG on purpose. THIS IS OBAMA AND THE GOVERNMENTS FAULT. If you refuse to wake up, then you will learn the hard way.
Bonuses are meant to reward positive achievements. I doubt that sinking your company is a positive achievement.
What was revealed in this story is that US citizens are unable to make the right decision without their government forcing them to do.
Think of slavery: how does it come that a people who proclaimed to support freedom was unable to stop slavery without foreign powers forcing them to do?
There is a huge issue within the US people. Strong and enlightened government is needed because
The dollar is going down , but, so r the world other currencies, it seems the whole world has gone mad, the Europeans are printing, the Japs r printing, The Australian etc....people be ready for the Biiiiiiiiiggggggggg one coming to a theatre near you.
Reginald, could you do a video on what you think might happen if the dollar should collapse fast? I'm thinking the dollar will be grossly de-valued agaist any type of new currency. Example: Five US dollars for only one dollar of the new currency- the implications of this scenario is staggering to me! What this would do to my family and our country.!
In a memo, employees are advised to "avoid wearing any AIG apparel (bags, shirts, umbrellas, etc.) with the company insignia" and to make sure badges with the AIG name are not visible when they are outside the office.
Employees should also report to building security any individuals "who appear to be out of place or spending an inordinate amount of time near an AIG facility," according to the memo.
They want to devalue the dollar, thats the plan, inflate the economy (asset inflation) while devalueing the dollar, making debt (current debts) less expensive. It will probably work for a while, but the danger of hyperinflation will ravage purchasing power eventually. It's a real gamble, but other nations will try thier best to devalue thier currencies as well, to keep thier trade deficets in balance.
Good vid Reg, a little note on the healthcare jobs being cut, I was informed by many hospitals that they are cutting experienced RN's and hiring foreign, and new Grad RN's, so they can cut paying the experienced one's by $15 an hour. The other new Nurses will work for $20hr instead of $35hr. This is an outrage to the Nursing community in America, healthcare is going down the tubes as usual, be careful out there folks people are going to die due to inexperience, just so they can save a buck!
well you had to know that when china stops buying our debt the FED will start to buy our own debt and print money. One trillion dollars pumped into the economy this week alone, the defict was just re-estimated and we have a more then expected 2.2 trillion deficit. with these treasury and market rallies people need to understand whats all this massive spending is doing to the dollar. The dollar is on a fast track to zero and we are heading for hyperinflation. You think its bad now.........
Another great video Reginald. Obama is going to have some difficulty promoting that electric car program with devalued money. He should really check with the Federal Reserve before he starts spouting off about creating initiatives with a worthless currency as the reward.
now someone please explain to me why anyone who has no equity in a home would continue paying HUGE payments on a house that has lost 40% of its value...id walk...
they could have kept the aig thing under wraps...they leaked the story to hide what bernake is doing...when ever there is a huge story on tv...look at what the government is doing behind the curtian..they plan to do controvercial and terrible things when the masses are otherwise occupied...
This is just very very wrong. The FED should be closed. Congress does have the power to do that and produce their own debt free money. I really think that'd be a wise choice for the times we're in right now. Get them gone!
Where do you think all of our money comes from? Out of nothing! The problem is this new money really isn't being backed up by new goods and services. Our economy is contracting right now. The bankers have skimmed too much money through usury. Look for stagflation.
Yes the money comes from no-where, Bernanke admitted on 60 Minutes that they are just printing it - comes from no-where. Now they are planning to do $1 Trillion. Look at the US Dollar Index, it fell off a cliff yesterday on these announcements... gold was up $70 in a day on the news... silver was up too. It came from no-where and now the dollar is de-valuing rapidly.
Yeah but my main point is all our money comes from nothing in all of history. It's not an inherently bad thing. It's when the money becomes devalued because of a lack of anything to back it up where the problem comes. And now were seeing that at a rapid pace. Of course our dollar has been devaluing for decades. This seems to be the grand finale.
I agree. Our dollar is faith based, and the faith in it is evaporating. We have no production, like you said, to make our money meaningful. Good luck.
Devaluation of the Dollar is the end game for this obama admin. I read about how G20 FOLKS were talking with IMF to print "super currencies" to distribute globally (quantitative easing)to help boost global economy. If Dollar drops, asit will, this brings into effect this IMF dollars: a step closer to one central power. He who controls money supply controls the world. As for Electriccars, yes there were around in california not too long ago, but Auto lobbyists destroyed their existence
hyper-inflation is on the way. the deflation folks are still dreaming with the mainstream media. let the false hope be in people's perception. the ones w/ precious metals will survive this economic meltdown.
Great video. I think this misuse of our tax system is a disgrace, but then I don't agree with the bonuses either. I also think you're right about the crisis. The buying the fed has decided to do of our own debt only tells me that we are in the final death throws for our economy. I just hope it doesn't get as bad as I think it's gonna get as fast as I think it's gonna do it. I'd like to have more of a chance to get out of the debt I'm in. Eveyrone else should prepare now.
