  • it made you jump 1:54

  • how fast do the trains on the GEML go? they look like they're going about the same speed as the pendolinos

  • @nasansia GEML linespeed is 100mph. The Class 90s have a top speed of 110mph.

  • apart from eurostar

which is the fastest train in britain is it the pendolino or the class 91

  • brilliant . i still like the 125 trains , the whizz sound . my god i can see why you do this , wish i could join . i live down here in redhill surrey . watching some of these trains is like seeing a spitfire fly . Fantastic . does the east coast mainline have the fastest trains ie the apt trains ........

  • Love the intro lol

  • how fast can teh voyagers go?

  • @donvit2

    125mph

  • nuneaton?

  • Great Video indeed, but i wonder about the briish signal system for trains

  • god i thought i'd tuned into the BBC News at 10

  • my favorite horn was the HST it sounded like it was talking

  • how did you get the music is it a remix or did do it you self

  • immaculate filming and gr8 vid definately a fav. The pendolino at 13:15......did it have grafitti on the side or something?????????

  • Disel engine :)

  • Can i ask at 2:00 and around 7:30 is that Tamworth train station?

  • @totalwhack Yes

  • 1:38 nice man

  • great videos . check out some our here in USA .there called AMTRAK .

  • The WCML is the best as it has better trains and goes to MAJOR places in the uk thats my opinion. great vid by the way

  • head to head race from standstill to 100mph level gradient with pendolino- class 373- class 91- class 222- hst - class90 who would win?

  • Great video and great carmea work

  • Great video and great carmea work

  • Great video and great carmea work

  • Great video and great carmea work

  • loved the intro and ecml is better for variety but i love the amount of freight on the wcml and the horns you get...

  • Excellent video.well done!!

  • good work! heres a good question: which main line is better west coast or east coast?? i prefer west coast for its locations and rolling stock.

  • Superb vid, 5*

  • Excellent video really enjoyed it 5*

From 8:18 onwards which station is that?

  • Peterborough.

  • Why do they bib their horn when they go past?

  • Because they have to warn people the are aproaching the station

  • The east coast main line is the BEST in the uk

  • @douglas1249 NO WAY THE WEST IS!!!!

  • No way! West coast! :)

  • test

  • Read you loud and clear!

  • The East Coast Main Line is the best as it has British metal.-that goes fast. Its just a shame GNEr had financial probs with parent co and NEEC were bollock sacks-greedy twats looking for easy money.

I was on a Great Western train in the summer 09 and they re 125's are so slow ,when we eventually arrived in Cornwall -I saw a bird flying parallel going faster than the train

  • The short stint from Paddington - Reading is a cracking run!

  • Come 2017, its an electrified 140mph run. Wahey,

  • hahahahaha look at the man at 2:00

  • What was the class 90 pulling there at the start????

  • Load 18 Sleeper to London.

  • The East coast main line is a load of bollacks

  • Why?

  • Fantastic sound at 3:57!

  • the railways of the world its god toy railway

  • that voyager sounds like an emu

  • who swore and y

  • A friend of mine. It was probably due to the fact the Virgin Voyaer was a bit smashed in on the rear cab, and had a tail lamp on the rear.

  • i think its good the way you have done the titles

  • after watching this video i felt like going train spotting myself lol very nice :)

  • Thanks

  • where are all clips taken dude :)

  • All over the UK: Mainly Peterborough, Nuneaton, Tamworth, Didcot and between Diss and Stowmarket.

  • where were all clips of this film was taken dude? :)

  • Good Stuff there mate

  • Thanks Pendo, also love the use of BBC News music on this.

  • Nice Start

  • where was that Pendolino going past at 1:20

  • Nuneaton

  • it's a "bendy pendy dildo"

  • Where were the shots of the Voyager filmed in the More Plastic part of the video?

  • Tamworth

  • I was pretty certain but needed it confirmed. Also nice pics of the Royal Train on the GEML.

  • No Royal Train in here I am afraid. If you're thinking of the train with marron MK2s that was an ECS move from Norwich to Old Oak Common.

  • is that a small village where you live, or why don't the trains ever stop?

  • LOL!

  • Sir this is a good video.

  • 0:31 you fart you fart!?! ;-)

  • Nope,

  • Nice views at around 8.30 at Peterborough, well placed. good vid!

  • Cheers ta.

  • Why do you call the Virgin Trains plastic?

  • Already been discussed here! Please read further down.

  • wicked video m8

  • It would be good ifnthere were a few class 373s on the video

  • Great video well done, i would love to see some class 158 at speed.

  • Is that a hint I detect?

  • the music sounds like the beginning of our news show in the west called "points west"

  • Yes it is the BBC News Theme

  • ahhh cool

  • The honking at the beginning of this vid is hilarious and for that alone I will give you 5 star!

  • Very thrilling, but I wonder if it is a good idea to use the long focus lens with approaching trains and the zooming back. I feel that the sensation of speed is much more appreciated using the standard setting. Brilliant work otherwise! Please don't be offended!

  • I wish you would,nt do that. I have just got used to National Express's dirty broken ECML trains then you show GNER and what was I consider the best rail company in the UK. It did make me pine for the days before Dec 07 ah well I will have to live with it

  • at 2 mins 10 secs what is the station?

  • Tamworth Low Level

  • ok thanks

  • 6.34 the best i love it when trains go fast past another and u shuld thank me for giving u a rating so u can get 5 stars anyway brill vid!

  • Excellent Viedo!

  • Oh, fantastic!

  • Thanks

  • Why did you have the News 24 tune??

  • Its appropriate for the opening credits

  • Nice videos. Shame you stick a huge chunk on the front.

  • your intro is so good!

  • I agree! Quality.

  • another fantastic one!

  • What class of train is that at 5:56 ?

Just my opinion here but I'm sure the GEML is the worst mainline in the UK. Its like the line that time and progress forgot. Example: Time from London euston to M.K. 30 mins = 110mph avarage. Time from London LST to Norwich 1:54 = 55mph avarage! :-( Just my opinion. Good selection of trains in the vid btw.

  • intercity 125

  • GEML is the worst Intercity Mainline in the UK! 5:56 is a Class 180 Adelante built by Alstom.

  • fantastic

  • Fantastic -- enough said!

  • What station was that with all the penderlinos passing.

was it Harrow and Wealdstone or Milton Keynes

  • Neither, you're quite a way off mate! Nuneaton and Tamworth!

  • Really good video, btw, why do you call pendolinos and voyagers "plastics"?

  • Because they're units :o)

  • lol and they are prob make of plastic

  • its waht the vomet comet is made from ;)

  • fantastic vid

  • Hey dude there something wrong with your video on my computer

it keeps going back to the start position

  • Seems to be working for everyone else, I am afraid mate

  • have u got a note at the top of the camera saying plz beep your horn while i am filming because they all did.

  • LOL, sadly no I havent.

  • This vid is awesome

  • this is a realy good video

  • like the BBC News 24 coundown in the back ground

  • nice tones

  • Theres another Youtuber who uses the same intro but I cant remember his name...

  • Yes, one of my mates

  • Ah I aplogize then. :)

  • Australia copies the HST with a train called the XPT in the early 80's, but I see you put no Eurostar?

  • The Eurostar is french, and is a type of TGV. It doesn't really come under the category "UK at speed" :)

  • Technically it is used in the uk. But you're probally right.

  • lol! Way to go with the BBC New Music! How can the ECML be the best? It has the worst fleet in terms of performance (not including the 220's 221's or 222's) It has had the most rail accidents, and it has been hogged for years by one of the most unreliable train operating companies! How can the ECML be any good? Even Northern Rail and Arriva Trains Wales managed to pull their finger out on their lines where GNER never did!

  • The East Coast was in a total mess after BR. For me I feel GNER rebuilt it, made it better, spent time working with Railtrack/NR making the best they can with it. The stock is the best. Not in terms of realiability, but comfort and style. British stock; not these damn Dilldos found on the WCML.

  • plastic how dare u!

  • It is true though...

  • nice video luvin the pendos

  • loved seeing the electric sparks smoking in the rain on the train's pantograph

  • what does xc stop here mean

  • Cross Country trains stop at that marker board

  • but they go right through the station though

  • thats because they're not booked to stop, if a XC trains was booked to stop thats where it would need to stop to fit in the platform!

  • Wheres the Southern mainline huh? lol!

  • Down south

  • amazing video keep them coming:)

  • the train at 00.30 sounded ill with a horn like that i would be embarrassed, what would be the possibility of you recording merseyrail trains be.

    brilliant video none the less

  • Heh. It sounded like a party blower.

  • isn't that the bbc news music?

  • Yes

  • that was quick

  • that was quick

you replied literally seconds after me posting it

  • Thats because im currently sitting at my PC and emails are virtually instant and they're easy to see what on what!

  • lol love the class 90's horn...sounds so depressed!

  • great i love the sound of trains at speed

  • Excellent , gustavo Argentina

  • why do you call the pendolinos "plastic"?

  • Because they're units

  • great video but do you mean theyre emus

  • Yes Units

The "U" in EMU is for Unit

  • great video

  • Great vid! The pendolinos never look like there r actually going that fast! Nice 47 on GEML. What the hell is that at 5:04? All the hst's were bloody MTU's ggrrrrrrrrr! Apart from the 6 minute mark to the 7 minute mark!! A beautiful minute =D

  • That's Network Rail's ultra sonic Eurail Scout what it does exactly is beyond me numbered 999700/999701

    Thanks for the pleasant comment

  • It looked like a sprinter dmu to me ?????????

Not sure what job it does!

  • Its a heavily converted DMU of somesort not sure though I'm not Network Rail but it has a lot of gear and technology on it, pics are somewhere on fotopic of the restoration and conversion of the DMU in question

  • i heard it was a less advance version of the NMT but does roughley same job

great vid by the way 5*

  • the voyager at 7:25 must hav know u called it plastic...lol...great vid 5*
