I am impressed, finally someone did their homework! I love how you actually took the time to check the sources. I would have been lazy and accepted it (this is probably a sad truth for many people). Thank you for revealing this fraud!
@getalife67 "An evil lie"?? You follow a tome with fables of a talking snake, a talking donkey, a talking/ burning bush, and old drunk who built a ship atop a mountain, and other nonsensical fables, yet you talk about other living a lie??
@getalife67: Studies have show the more homophobic the guy, the stronger the sexual reaction to gay images/film clips. ^_^ All the selfconfident men who had no problem with gays showed minimal to zero sexual reaction. Pansies like you will always make themselves look very suspicious with their obsession with gays..
my chart still stands, its not deception, the numbers reported on the FIRECAGOV site are adjusted for some very strange reason, given that on the same site their communications department says that 6000 lightning strikes in those few days started over 2000 fires.
My chart? Not for a week, but for a YEAR. I am certain the graph would be HIGHER for a year. I was conservative.
@mormonanswerman So, explain why there are fewer lightning fire in countries which legalized gay matiage like Nederland, Sweden, Denmark... you're just trying to rationalize your stupid beliefs with even more stupid arguments...
@mormonanswerman "my chart still stands, its not deception, the numbers reported on the FIRECAGOV site are adjusted for some very strange reason"
The reason isn't strange. You just need to read. The chart showing 332 fires is "lightening fires within CalFire Jurisdiction". Your figure of 2000 is a report of the total number of fires in CA. CalFire's jurisdiction is a fraction of the land in CA.
I'm not accusing you of intentional cherry picking, but cherry picking it is.
the idea that traditional marriage has any sanctity to be protected is about as stupid as thinking that coal needs to be protected from the color black!
The only REAL crime here is rational people have to take our time out to deal with such ridiculousness. This crap is like an anchor holding back the progress of humanity.
Dude, only Zeus can control lightning! Jeez, you think people would know their facts before being hateful.
Gays are responsible for the fires just as woman wearing clothing that slightly shows the breasts is causing earthquakes. Don't forget that not so long ago, it was blacks being called sinful, evil and wrong.
Wow. Really? I've been loud and obnoxious about how much I think same sex marriage should be legalized for years and I can honestly say that's the most creative argument I've ever heard. GAYS START FIRE! Yeah.... keep telling yourself that, buddy.
I reiterate my objections as stated in a previous reply. Please do not insult innocent morons! Every time you use such a term as a derogatory expletive you place a group of otherwise totally innocent people in the same category as the person you seek to insult. In fact I seriously doubt if you could find a moron who agrees with mormonanswerman.
@charkopolis No I'm saying that MORONS (not 'Mormons', DO pay attention) are innocent. 'Moron' began it's life as part of a scientific taxonomy of those considered mentally subnormal. It was an attempt to get rid of the blanket term 'retarded' which had become a pejorative and now ITS terms are pejoratives, a truly despicable human trait. There were gradations, 'idiot', 'moron', etc. but look it up yourself, I'm sure you're in there somewhere.
at the end of the day the figures are meaningless. lots of places have gay marriage. and don't seem to have suffered. why would god only punish countries where his most faithful followers live. you have to wonder if god actually likes america. i'm glad that i live in a country that doesn't have anywhere near the % of religious fruitcakes as you do in the u.s our christians tend mostly to be floppy necked church of england types who only go to church to show off their new hat or for christening.
i wouldn't waste anymore time on this deluded cunt flap, just another imbecile lying for jesus. if he can't see what is patently obvious to any body who hasn't suffered serious brain injury, then i don't think there is much more you can do.
on a side note i went to a civil partner ship(gay wedding) in york uk last week, it was awesome. first time i ever cried at a wedding. went on a river boat for the reception.
"During the weekend of June 21-22, a dry low-pressure system crossed through California producing dry lightning and igniting nearly 2000 fires across 17 counties."
The reason this is significant, is that is was a TWO DAY period. That's more fires than reported by Calfire and NIFC combined for entire years previous.
Anyone who compares this TWO DAY event to a whole year as if they are equal in weight, just doesn't understand weighted data. Apparently, anticitizenx is one of these.
Speaking on July 5, 2008, California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger commented that "I've been driving up and down the state of California going to all the various different fires, and you can imagine, this state is very prepared for fire, but when you wake up one morning and have 500 fires across the state, it was a real shock to me... only to find the next morning there were 1,000 fires, and the next morning 1,400 fires, and then 1,700 fires igniting over 14 days."
Again with the smoke screens. You just don't get it, do you?
1) YOU CITED DATA FROM A SOURCE THAT DOES NOT COVER THE ENTIRE STATE.
2) YOU MIXED IN DATA FROM OTHER SOURCES THAT *DO* COVER THE ENTIRE STATE.
That's called LYING, you imbecile! Everyone who wanders onto this forum can see it. You're just too prideful and arrogant to see past your own self-righteous delusions.
@mormonanswerman Regardless of how many fires there were, you haven't even stated how they are connected to prop 8? Without that, there could be 30,000 fires and it's still meaningless. I don't see how you don't get this?
Because God hates fags. He hates them so much that he'll shoot lightning into random forests and grasslands just to prove it. How else do you tie the two together?
@AntiCitizenX Pretty much like the image of God conjured up in The God Delusion: a petulant teenager stamping his feet, throwing lightning bolts around the room and screaming "I hate you!"
I connected some dots, and I think the OBVIOUS conclusion is what is getting people's undies in a bunch. The unprecedented event coinciding with other unprecedented event will make a scientifically thinking person consider the possibilities... that there may be a correlation.
At least I am OPEN minded, unlike some gay people who write here who are offended at data that does not make the whole idea of gay marriage look safe.
"SAN FRANCISCO - In less than a day, an electrical storm unleashed nearly 8,000 lightning strikes that set more than 800 wildfires across Northern California — a rare example of "dry lightning" that brought little or no rain but plenty of sparks to the state's parched forests and grasslands."
"The weekend storm was unusual ...because it struck so early in the season and moved in from the Pacific Ocean. Such storms usually don't arrive until late July or August and typically form southeast of California.
"You're looking at a pattern that's climatologically rare. We typically don't see this happen at this time of summer," said John Juskie, a science officer with the National Weather Service in Sacramento. "To see 8,000, that's way up there on the scale."
I wonder why it came so early in the year? Why unprecedented numbers of lightning strikes in a ONE WEEK period? Why off course and arriving in June like that?
Inquiring minds want to know the answers to the questions of why on very strange events like this. The main question that comes to mind, is, is it "just the weather as usual" or are there other things that affect weather?
Does God affect weather?
Did Jesus calm a storm? I believe He did. I think He established that idea.
@mormonanswerman you didnt ask questions you stated it as if it were fact i quote
In ancient America He did sent lightnings and earthquakes and cities were sunk in the ocean, and mountains came up where valleys were, and thick smoke enveloped the whole continent. Did you know that?
I am not saying for sure Jesus was gay, I am just asking why he hung out with guys and 'washed their feet'. No one can say for sure. Just asking questions..
There is no god. Jesus was a myth. Joseph Smith was an opium addict. You've manipulated the data. I am posting the real data... with sources that anyone may go and see.
So... you've committed false witness. What a good little mythologist you are.
...and just to be sure, I'm not saying it was God, I don't know that, but don't you kind of wonder about these things just a little bit? Don't you wonder if God does things? I mean, He did send a flood that destroyed all who were on the earth, excepting His prophet Noah and family.
In ancient America He did sent lightnings and earthquakes and cities were sunk in the ocean, and mountains came up where valleys were, and thick smoke enveloped the whole continent. Did you know that?
@mormonanswerman no he didnt't send a worlwide flood there is absoloutely no evidence for that and it would be an impossibility if it happened as the bible described it
stating what he did and yet providing no evidence is just fail i could state that was all due to the skittle monster
@excandersham Yeah, the great flood is impossible. Its impossible that God can make a flood that big. God is limited to only creating an earth. He can't possibly make a flood, because that is too hard.
and if you would READ more, you would find graphs and charts that show that fires are spread out like a BELL CURVE over the year, with the peak of the curve happening in JULY AUGUST.
This was JUNE. Try and smell at least SOME of the roses.
A bell curve is for statistical probability, not accurate prediction. Where on the bell curve was June? at 50%? 30%? The bell curve only states the chance of the event occurring, and if there is lots of data going into making the curve (and I bet there is), then this event is not significant, but predictable! And, all this amounts to meaning nothing!
Remember that CAL FIRE is not responsible for the entire state. There were indeed lots of of lightning fires, but they occurred in other jurisdictions. CAL FIRE is only reporting their own little bit, which is apparently something MaM completely fails to grasp. Doubly shameful as well, since I have explained this to him at least a dozen times.
What would I do without these anal explanations of the obvious. Have you ever tried to add up the NIFC and CALFIRE data to see if they add up to the reports?
Nah, I didn't think so. That's because they don't add up. I wonder why. You might want to think on the AGW fiasco of late and project some possibilities on what some people actually DO with their data. Some of them create new curves to "hide the declines" and others make numbers disappear and change outright.
Looking you up, I found another video by ACX mirrored about absence of evidence, and it it says you falsely DMCA'd the video. Is that true? What were the motives for that?
The issue here is not whether the fires occurred or not. They DID occur. Everyone knows this. What you fail to grasp is that this information is freely available from the NIFC, and NOT from CAL FIRE.
So for the tenth time...
LOOK AT THE FREAKING NIFC DATA !!! Y You inserted data from OUTSIDE OF CAL FIRE'S JURISDICTION YOU THUNDERING MORON !
Well I don't want to get into a childish name calling exchange, but if you had an analytical brain like I do, because that's what I do for a living, friend, you would be able to see that when 8000 fire strikes happen in a matter of days and it sets off 2000+ fires in a matter of days, and then you compare that number to the number of fires in a YEAR for other years, anyone with half a brain should be able to see that this is a significant event.
Not only have I looked at the NIFC data before you even knew what it was, being a Johnny come lately like you are, I used that data and put together a graph that UNDERSTATES the event. Use half your brain, please, and try and not be so anal about all this. You are not winning the argument, you are only showing how anal you can be about data. Use some brains. Have some ability to connect dots. Stretch a bit. Reach higher.
You just can't stop lying, can you? I'm beginning you think you're genuinely ill. May I suggest some therapy? There are people who can help you with this problem. For all of our sakes, and especially your own, please seek help. You are not a well man.
So not only do you admit prior knowledge of multiple fire jurisdictions within California, you also admit to having mixed data from conflicting sources from multiple jurisdictions.
I would have been willing to accept an honest mistake, but now the case is closed. You are a liar by your own admission.
just cause mormonism feels right for you I know how much you want to spawn a million kids as an army in the afterlife. I guess God also committed adultry when he had sex with mary use your head please a lot of NDES experienced God tell them that there is no one religion the new temple is through Jesus our own body. To believe mormonism is to give up some morals a self centered life matter of fact in the bible god sent 7 angels to 7 different churches and guess what none where mormon
Well, anticitizenX didn't exactly lie when he accused me, I think he was deceived, duped into thinking that the CALFIRE data never changed. So I wouldn't exactly call him a liar, but possibly a little too trusting of government reports?? That's a formula for sheeple.
correction, (since some are so anal about it), there were 6000 lightning strikes, 2000 of which started fires, in the last week of June 2008.
What is so significant about this, is that the number in my video was for only ONE WEEK, while all of the other numbers were for a whole year.
Also, it is important to note, that when I made the video the numbers were published on CA website as such. They changed it. I can't change my video. No one lied. But maybe THEY are lying now?
Are you really so prideful that you would rather accuse an entire agency of firefighters of conspiracy to cover up statistics, rather than simply admit that you were wrong?
Prideful?? For 10 years now we have been listening to those FEW liars in the ClimateGate scandal tell us that there is global warming, and now we find out that they have been lying to us. What a disappointment.
Go ahead and trust in these agencies. It was probably a lone statistician, with an agenda, who made the change. THESE THINGS DO HAPPEN
You would seriously rather accuse others of fraud, conspiracy, and cover-ups, rather than even CONSIDER that you screwed up one little data point. Do you have no humility at all? No shame? You have been caught red-handed in, at best, an erroneous act, or at worst, a dishonest act. Yet you still cannot help but project your own wrong-doing onto others. Is there not single honest bone in your body?
Yeah, I would seriously accuse others of fraud, conspiracy, and cover-ups, it seems to be all that is going on in today's world. Where have you been?!
All you've got is a hollow, HOLLOW accusation that I fudged data, made it up, whatever, and you have not even availed yourself to the data that is STILL on their site, the data that has not been whitewashed away yet. The data that says that the lightning fire event for a one week period was unprecedented, even rivaling YEARLY totals. A WEEK.
BTW, you're accusing me of fraud, so why the self-righteousness?
If this were about climate data, and you were defending it a few months ago, you would be exposed for gullibility today. Since this fire data is not as critical, we will never find out WHY they published 2500 fires where it now says 300. I want you to just think about that for a second. Rather than accuse others, why don't you research more?
Probably watches MSNBC and Keith Obermann and Chris Matthews, getting a zing up their leg. THEY do think it is a non story. Look at their numbers plummet.
Who said anything about bringing people to God on this? I was just minding my own business on my own channel, reporting the DATA that was readily available, and this anticitizen anonymous guy tries so very hard to make me the liar, when the CALFIRE data changed many months after-the-fact. Research it. Don't embarrass yourSELF on this.
I'm just reporting numbers. I didn't say God sent lightning. I think that is obvious, but I didn't say it.
Doesn't this all boil down to the fact that anticitizen (what a name) is gay and did not like my video that seemed to imply that an unprecedented number of lightning fires took place at the same time 4 judges over-ruled the DOMA and forced Prop 8? I thought that a very poignant event and merely published it. Thought it was interesting.
Then the DEFENSIVENESS came along and starting hurling accusations against me, the mere messenger. Don't indict me, indict the weather!
Yeah, the weather. Implying that God makes more weather to somehow punish a country for allowing people who love each other to proclaim that love is ridiculous, regardless of whether he exists or not. Why would a supposedly omnipotent being be so blunt? Surely the punishment is supposed to come in the next life? Your supposition is utterly ridicluous, without getting in to the argument of whether God exists or not.
Pretending that you are not homophobic is even more ridiculous.
Oh I see, now the emails are out of context. No, the emails are out of the server, and onto the internet. Probably in their best context ever, so we all can see what liars they are.
And if they are lying about climate, then its not a stretch to think that some gay activist changed the data point. When I made the video, it was 2500. They later changed it to 300. Hmm. More liars not wanting to show the "increase" in fires after the gay marriage fiasco. JUST like ClimateGate methods.
If you actually watched the video I posted you would have seen why you are out of arguments. You have no business calling other people liars when fudge data yourself. And if you think that god sends fires to kill people because he gets pissed off with the way consenting adults live their lives, then you need to take a bubble bath with a toaster. Plugged in.
You need to merely open a Bible or Quran and read about Sodom and Gomorrah to understand that God DOES indeed send fire and brimstone from heaven to rain on the earth from time to time as wickedness merits it. Yeah, I do think that. So do more people than those who don't. Its called 2/3 of THE WORLD who adhere to Christianity and Islam who believe this story. You're apparently among the deniers?
We're talking about the same bible that says that the earth is flat and has the story about a snake with vocal cords, right? Yeah, it has as much credibility as you do right about now. *Scrapping the bottom of a bucket*
The Bible never said the earth was flat, and the snake with vocal cords? Have you ever seen the dog on America's Funniest Videos (AFV) say "I love you" rather clearly? Are you saying its impossible for animals to mimic our speech? Have you ever heard of a parrot?
So since its so possible for this to happen, you doubt the validity of the Bible because it also has a story on it? Why don't you try and debunk AFV while you're at it. How's that working out for you?
America's Funniest Home videos is what you're appealing to now? Do you religious people ever make any sense? No snakes don't talk and never did. Parrots mimic words, but don't speak fluently.
You keep beating around the bush. Your bible is not credible or authoritative in any sense. And your a liar. Have a nice life.
Ok. I apologize for the nutcase remark. Truly. I just dont how you can say that gays caused fires. Especially when you use invalid data. You might as well condemn hammers for causing profanity.
I didn't say that gays cause fires. That's the whole point. I mashed up a video with data that WAS on CALFIREs website, but changed MONTHS later, and this anticitizen calls me a liar because it changed, and then asks me to retract.
That's like asking the guys that hacked the ClimateGate emails to retract. It makes no sense. I am not the liar. My video is apparently "wrong" now, but, IS it? I am not so sure about that, so I leave it.
Ok. I understand. Sorry about the name calling. I understand your rationale of the data and its comparison you were making. but you can take data and compare it to anything. you have to be careful in doing that because you will always be criticized even if the data is correct. just like showing a study that there is more crime on a full moon, which is true actually. but you can imagine some that will try to blow it out of the water.
I just don't understand why first thing you would guess about lighting is GOD?! Why not other reasons, like, for example, invisible dinosaurs, flying in the sky more often and rubbing each other in the sky and generating static electricity?
I'll take one step further. Why does it have to be be from something at all? California has always been prone to lighting strikes and fires. That year had more. I say, so what! It doesn't signify anything other than a lot of lighting that year.
But there was an unprecedented WEEK where the number of fires that WEEK exceeded the YEARLY totals for other years. If you only divide a year by weeks you get 52.
So, when something is 52 times greater... well, maybe its just me, but I think that's significant?
I'm staring at CALFires Lightning fact sheet right now. This is at the bottom:
*Typically, lightning causes less than 10 percent of the fires within CAL FIRES's jurisdiction. During the *1987 California fire season a total of 13,476 fires occured, burning 873,000 acres. Most of this was due to dry lightning which occured between August 29 and September 11. The majority of the fires and acreage were located within U. S. Forest Service jurisdiction.
Well, in my opinion, looking at CALFIRE's "fact" sheet right now has about as much credibility as looking at University of East Anglia's Climate Research Unit's doctored emails and taking it for granted that nothing's changed. Let me know how that works out for you.
Frankly, I couldn't care about your opinion. You lied. Blatantly.
As well, since you think a snake can actually talk, wanna try to explain talking bushes or flying chariots?
On a side note... how did you mormon types get the idea of "hell" (mentioned in 1st Nephi) a few hundred years before the concept even existed? I smell a rat in Utah.
No, what would have been more significant is if there was lightning without the clouds. Or if god and/or angels appear and proclaimed themselves and razed the fields and Sacramento, then said "Long live traditional marriage". Then would would have something significant. Even if all the events happened as you claim they do. It still means nothing. It's just bad weather.
[all I did was report the data and then ask, basically, "What do YOU think about this event?"]
You know perfectly well that you wanted to link gay marriage with lightning fires, and you probably even blocked half the people who disagreed on your forum. Don't even try to pull this crap on my forum. Everyone here can tell you're not being honest with us or even yourself.
Get over it. This whole debate is ridiculous. Rartionalize it however you like, but you took the presented data and changed it. That's called intellectual dishonesty. If there is a conspiracy, show evidence for that! Don't just say so. If you had a moral bone in your body, you would have retracted your statement long ago.
The ONLY debate that I am having here is the debate over whether I was lying or not, and I am telling you I was not lying but reporting EXACTLY what was on the CALFIRE website, news sites, etc; during that week.
Then anticitizen, johnny come lately, comes along THREE MONTHS LATER and decides to do a little "check up" and sees that CALFIRE has changed the data and immediately, like sheeple, accuses that I lied. That shows how gullible he actually was/is. I didn't change a thing. Research!
It is far more likely that you screwed up than firefighters are covering up data. The fact that you refuse to even admit this possibility makes you even more intellectually dishonest.
My own brother is a FIRE FIGHTER and he thinks the same way I do. He actually led batalions as a CHIEF fighting the fires in California unlike the four San Francisco judges who probably hopped on a jet plane to get the heck out of Dodge once the smoke started floating their way. Once the lightning started hammering down on SF.
Don't talk about what is "likely" because you have no idea, being an obvious supporter, a biased supporter of gay marriage and that's what this smear is all about.
My brother being one of those veteran fire fighters knows better than anybody about the POLITICS that even takes place within the ranks of the fire fighting system. They have to deal with politics all the time. He's just a soldier and has nothing to do with the POLITICIANS who get involved with the data and the presentation of data. Know thy facts.
My own brother, the CHIEF FIRE FIGHTER, also wondered what the heck was going on when all that lightning broke out, and how it coincided with the judges ruling and all... and he said that the FIRE FIGHTERS were thinking it.
Its not just me. Ask the fire fighters what they thought. They had to deal directly with it and it was DIFFERENT than EVER before. Don't be a denier.
So it was your brother that tallied up all the fires for CAL fire? What it the person that your citing? Do you have a reliable source? Do you understand that taking information from CAL fire, then adjusting the numbers while not explaining why on your video makes you dishonest?
So... you're claiming that because your idiotic video the CALFire agents, who nightly scour the internetz in search of clues, the agent in charge sent a frantic call to the IT department to concoct new figures to protect the gay agenda from being outed by mormonidiotman?
You're a liar. You insult our intelligences. You're deluded. Have a nice day.
You are still defending AGW on your channel, despite the revelations that those scientists were falsifying the data, and you talk of delusions. Well that is not consistent and does not make sense.
I was on a train once with mormonanswerman. He was peeling an orange and just after he swallowed it, the train entered a tunnel. "Yegads!" Mormonanswerman exclaimed, "Don't eat oranges! you'll go blind!"
EARTH TO MORMONANSWERMAN! CAL FIRE's DATA DOES NOT COVER THE ENTIRE STATE!
Don't you get it? Your brother's occupation and personal opinions are IRRELEVANT. YOU, MORMONANSWERMAN, TAMPERED WITH DATA SOURCES. That makes you a liar.
I ask you, have you even looked at the NIFC data yet? CAL FIRE IS NOT THE ONLY JURISDICTION IN CALIFORNIA. GET A CLUE ALREADY.
Of course I am aware of NIFC, but are YOU aware of what else CALFIRE is saying AND reporting about this?
2000 fires in ONE WEEK. Unprecedented. Here's their language on that: "On June 20, 2008, a severe thunderstorm system moved through northern and central California resulting in over 6,000 total lightning strikes in more than 26 counties. The overwhelming number of lightning strikes, along with record dry conditions sparked over two thousand lightning fires."
"To date, 2,096 fires have burned nearly 1.2 million acres."
Ok, that's telling. It goes from 2000+/- to 2096 later in the year 2008, indicating that the yearly totals seem to hide things anyway. More:
"As one of the most severe wildland fire situations ever experienced in Californias history, these fires destroyed a total of 511 structures and have taken 15 lives."
PLEASE NOTE, and don't miss it, that CALFIRE said that these 6000 lightning strikes took place in the one week and that it did NOT include fire totals from SOUTHERN CA. Did NOT. Now go and look at your numbers from the NIFC and check that out.
So if we have all these fires up north and coming early in the year, that is an EVENT of unprecedented proportions.
I know, I know there's a correlation and not a causation! But WHAT a correlation, because in the history of California there is nothing to correlate it with! It stands all on its own, and it came down right upon a certain political ruling on marriage, and I think that's the ONLY correlation I can find! Its the only one that exists!
It makes even the least inquiring minds ask the questions.
My understanding of the scriptures that have reported on God's dealings with mankind, is that He tends to shoot a shot across the bow, and then a long period of silence, and thenif things don't change, WHAM.
We would be waiting for WHAM if the voters did not pass Prop 8 IMO. I think a lot of people woke up. I don't know if the lightning did it. I think brazen judges seeking for power actually did it. I think they ticked a lot of people off.
So why was jesus hanging out with all those burly fish smelling guys? Why did he kiss them? Did he really "love" them? I mean the biblical "love" and all? Doesn't the bible teach us that jesus was a flaming homo? Just inquiring.
Not MY error, but the CALFIRE website error. What they published, I reported. You can be a doubter if you want to, but I know I didn't make up the data, so?
Just look at his comments below. He admits to mixing his sources for the data but still refuses to accept that such behavior is intrinsically misleading.
You assume it is ME that is misleading. CA put up the data in the first place. I copied that. I think it shows ignorance when people don't question these kinds of things.
You know, when CA publishes the data on their website, and then later changes it, drastically changes it, it makes reasonable people wonder what happened. When I made the video, the numbers in the graph were what they were. I took them directly. When anticitizen decided to get involved in his little smear campaign, he saw a different number there, and so did I. The NEW number STILL doesn't make sense to me, since it basically says it was a non event. But CA says it was unprecedented.
No, I'm not the one obsessed with it. I wouldn't even bring it up if it were not for those obsessed with their sexual choices and trying to force everybody to accept them by trying to change the definition of marriage, which is: between man and woman. ONLY.
You ignore the concept of lexicon and how language changes.
I don't give a fuck if that's the definition you want to live by, but you have no right to push your thoughts and beliefs onto other people based on your religious beliefs. Hell if everyone was allowed to push their religious shit onto other people, it wouldn't be long before the christian majority pushed their shit onto the mormon minority, and you wouldn't like that would you?
You see this all the time, but here's a tip: You can't claim that your violation of someone's copyright is fair use. There's no such thing as a fair use disclaimer. It means absolutely nothing in court. In fact, the disclaimer is an admission that you KNOW you're violating someone's copyright. That just makes things worse.
It's not really intended to be a "fair use disclaimer" so much as a disclaimer that this is "criticism and satire." If you go around making statements about someone's character without prefacing it with something to the effect of "this is just my honest opinion," then you potentially are committing defamation. But I can see your point.
Where did I generalize to all Mormons? I hope I did not give that impression, since MaM is a very far-out case.
Strictly speaking, however, the official stance of the LDS church is to be fiercely anti-gay. They try to put a positive loving spin on it, but in the end it is nothing more than old fashioned bigotry dictated by the general authorities. So I would argue that you cannot be a "good Mormon" and still be "pro gay." I feel the two are incompatible.
Your pro-gay rights "mormon" friend is not a mormon if they are pro-gay rights. All mormons are bigots according to YOUR definition of bigotry. To me, it seems that people who yell and scream to get their way are the ones in the wrong.
It is our constitutionally guaranteed right to yell and scream all we want. By itself, these things do nothing. But when an organization spends a pile of money to exercise influence in matters of law, only then does anything matter. The LDS church has certainly done this, but then again, so has the gay lobby. The only distinction is that anti-gay laws are motivated by entirely religious reasons, which is unconstitutional.
No, it is NOT unconstitutional to think religious. It is NOT unconstitutional to exercise your opinions, whether they be secular, religious, atheist, socialist, or plain dumb. All have a right to think, vote, their conscience.
It doesn't matter what we think, we can vote. If you want to have a dumb uneducated opinion, you can, and you can even vote on that. That's why so many BAD politicians get elected: STOOPID people?
Even if 99% of California residents passed a ballot initiative to declare Islam the state religion, it would be declared unconstitutional and get struck down. Any laws that strictly serve any religious agenda for any reason fall under the same fate. This is why anti-gay marriage legislation has so much trouble. You know perfectly well that the only reason you oppose it is to "protect the sanctity of marriage," which is a purely religious motivation.
He never said it was unconstitutional to think religiously, HOWEVER it IS unconstitutional for laws to be based SOLELY on religious grounds.
Furthermore, if god is omnipotent and etc, WHY CAN'T HE PUNISH THE GAYS ON HIS OWN ANYWAY?!
Why DO YOU feel obligated to do god's judgment?
That's the one thing i never understood about theists, apparently their gods are so powerful BUT when it comes down to BASHING the gays, can't let god have all the fun, nope. Time for us theists to step in!
I am impressed, finally someone did their homework! I love how you actually took the time to check the sources. I would have been lazy and accepted it (this is probably a sad truth for many people). Thank you for revealing this fraud!

my chart still stands, its not deception, the numbers reported on the FIRECAGOV site are adjusted for some very strange reason, given that on the same site their communications department says that 6000 lightning strikes in those few days started over 2000 fires.
My chart? Not for a week, but for a YEAR. I am certain the graph would be HIGHER for a year. I was conservative.

Apparently, anticitizenx is one of these.
mormonanswerman 2 years ago
Speaking on July 5, 2008, California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger commented that "I've been driving up and down the state of California going to all the various different fires, and you can imagine, this state is very prepared for fire, but when you wake up one morning and have 500 fires across the state, it was a real shock to me... only to find the next morning there were 1,000 fires, and the next morning 1,400 fires, and then 1,700 fires igniting over 14 days."
mormonanswerman 2 years ago
@mormonanswerman
AntiCitizenX 2 years ago
@mormonanswerman Regardless of how many fires there were, you haven't even stated how they are connected to prop 8? Without that, there could be 30,000 fires and it's still meaningless. I don't see how you don't get this?
tigerf117 1 year ago

ca1977a 1 year ago
@tigerf117 I never said the two were connected.
I connected some dots, and I think the OBVIOUS conclusion is what is getting people's undies in a bunch. The unprecedented event coinciding with other unprecedented event will make a scientifically thinking person consider the possibilities... that there may be a correlation.
At least I am OPEN minded, unlike some gay people who write here who are offended at data that does not make the whole idea of gay marriage look safe.
mormonanswerman 1 year ago
From the AP news: (note this is the FIRST DAY)
"SAN FRANCISCO - In less than a day, an electrical storm unleashed nearly 8,000 lightning strikes that set more than 800 wildfires across Northern California — a rare example of "dry lightning" that brought little or no rain but plenty of sparks to the state's parched forests and grasslands."
mormonanswerman 2 years ago
More from AP:
"The weekend storm was unusual ...because it struck so early in the season and moved in from the Pacific Ocean. Such storms usually don't arrive until late July or August and typically form southeast of California.
"You're looking at a pattern that's climatologically rare. We typically don't see this happen at this time of summer," said John Juskie, a science officer with the National Weather Service in Sacramento. "To see 8,000, that's way up there on the scale."
mormonanswerman 2 years ago
I wonder why it came so early in the year? Why unprecedented numbers of lightning strikes in a ONE WEEK period? Why off course and arriving in June like that?
Inquiring minds want to know the answers to the questions of why on very strange events like this. The main question that comes to mind, is, is it "just the weather as usual" or are there other things that affect weather?
Does God affect weather?
Did Jesus calm a storm? I believe He did. I think He established that idea.

...and just to be sure, I'm not saying it was God, I don't know that, but don't you kind of wonder about these things just a little bit? Don't you wonder if God does things? I mean, He did send a flood that destroyed all who were on the earth, excepting His prophet Noah and family.
In ancient America He did sent lightnings and earthquakes and cities were sunk in the ocean, and mountains came up where valleys were, and thick smoke enveloped the whole continent. Did you know that?
mormonanswerman 2 years ago
@mormonanswerman no he didnt't send a worlwide flood there is absoloutely no evidence for that and it would be an impossibility if it happened as the bible described it

Exmech2 2 years ago
@excandersham Yeah, the great flood is impossible. Its impossible that God can make a flood that big. God is limited to only creating an earth. He can't possibly make a flood, because that is too hard.
mormonanswerman 1 year ago

Exmech2 2 years ago
and if you would READ more, you would find graphs and charts that show that fires are spread out like a BELL CURVE over the year, with the peak of the curve happening in JULY AUGUST.
This was JUNE. Try and smell at least SOME of the roses.
mormonanswerman 2 years ago
A bell curve is for statistical probability, not accurate prediction. Where on the bell curve was June? at 50%? 30%? The bell curve only states the chance of the event occurring, and if there is lots of data going into making the curve (and I bet there is), then this event is not significant, but predictable! And, all this amounts to meaning nothing!
charkopolis 2 years ago
Exmech2,
Remember that CAL FIRE is not responsible for the entire state. There were indeed lots of of lightning fires, but they occurred in other jurisdictions. CAL FIRE is only reporting their own little bit, which is apparently something MaM completely fails to grasp. Doubly shameful as well, since I have explained this to him at least a dozen times.
AntiCitizenX 2 years ago
What would I do without these anal explanations of the obvious. Have you ever tried to add up the NIFC and CALFIRE data to see if they add up to the reports?
Nah, I didn't think so. That's because they don't add up. I wonder why. You might want to think on the AGW fiasco of late and project some possibilities on what some people actually DO with their data. Some of them create new curves to "hide the declines" and others make numbers disappear and change outright.
Check it out.
mormonanswerman 2 years ago
Looking you up, I found another video by ACX mirrored about absence of evidence, and it it says you falsely DMCA'd the video. Is that true? What were the motives for that?
charkopolis 2 years ago
Wow, ONE DAY had 800 fires. WOW.
(deniers, I am asking you to notice this)
mormonanswerman 2 years ago
The issue here is not whether the fires occurred or not. They DID occur. Everyone knows this. What you fail to grasp is that this information is freely available from the NIFC, and NOT from CAL FIRE.
So for the tenth time...
LOOK AT THE FREAKING NIFC DATA !!! Y You inserted data from OUTSIDE OF CAL FIRE'S JURISDICTION YOU THUNDERING MORON !
AntiCitizenX 2 years ago
Well I don't want to get into a childish name calling exchange, but if you had an analytical brain like I do, because that's what I do for a living, friend, you would be able to see that when 8000 fire strikes happen in a matter of days and it sets off 2000+ fires in a matter of days, and then you compare that number to the number of fires in a YEAR for other years, anyone with half a brain should be able to see that this is a significant event.
Please use half your brain.
mormonanswerman 2 years ago
wow, nice example of a combination strawman and ad hominem. Way to squeeze both in on that one.
ursowrng 2 years ago
Not only have I looked at the NIFC data before you even knew what it was, being a Johnny come lately like you are, I used that data and put together a graph that UNDERSTATES the event. No, someone is "lying for the devil" here...
There were 6000 fires in ONE WEEK. No one was pounded here. FIRE dt CA dt GOV clearly spells out that it was an unprecedented fire event.
"As one of the most severe wildland fire events
ever experienced in Californias history, these fires
destroyed over 500 structures and took the lives of 15."
mormonanswerman 2 years ago
correction, (since some are so anal about it), there were 6000 lightning strikes, 2000 of which started fires, in the last week of June 2008.
What is so significant about this, is that the number in my video was for only ONE WEEK, while all of the other numbers were for a whole year.
Also, it is important to note, that when I made the video the numbers were published on CA website as such. They changed it. I can't change my video. No one lied. But maybe THEY are lying now?

Is there not single honest bone in your body?
AntiCitizenX 2 years ago
Yeah, I would seriously accuse others of fraud, conspiracy, and cover-ups, it seems to be all that is going on in today's world. Where have you been?!
All you've got is a hollow, HOLLOW accusation that I fudged data, made it up, whatever, and you have not even availed yourself to the data that is STILL on their site, the data that has not been whitewashed away yet. The data that says that the lightning fire event for a one week period was unprecedented, even rivaling YEARLY totals. A WEEK.
mormonanswerman 2 years ago
BTW, you're accusing me of fraud, so why the self-righteousness?
If this were about climate data, and you were defending it a few months ago, you would be exposed for gullibility today.
I think that is obvious, but I didn't say it.
mormonanswerman 2 years ago
Doesn't this all boil down to the fact that anticitizen (what a name) is gay and did not like my video that seemed to imply that an unprecedented number of lightning fires took place at the same time 4 judges over-ruled the DOMA and forced Prop 8? I thought that a very poignant event and merely published it. Thought it was interesting.
Then the DEFENSIVENESS came along and starting hurling accusations against me, the mere messenger. Don't indict me, indict the weather!
mormonanswerman 2 years ago
Yeah, the weather. Implying that God makes more weather to somehow punish a country for allowing people who love each other to proclaim that love is ridiculous, regardless of whether he exists or not. Why would a supposedly omnipotent being be so blunt? Surely the punishment is supposed to come in the next life? Your supposition is utterly ridicluous, without getting in to the argument of whether God exists or not.
Pretending that you are not homophobic is even more ridiculous.
FreindlyRanger 2 years ago
Also, if God supposedly made everything, then he made Gay people too and who are you to argue with His creation?
Oh, right, being Gay is just a choice people make deliberately to offend God.
How old are you, twelve?
FreindlyRanger 2 years ago
Because it is. Those hacked "emails" were all out of context. They refered to tree ring data, not temperature data.
But that's largely irrelevant. You only brought up 'climategate' as a smokescreen to cover up your bigoted manipulation and lying.
Raptor302 2 years ago
Oh I see, now the emails are out of context. No, the emails are out of the server, and onto the internet. Probably in their best context ever, so we all can see what liars they are.
And if they are lying about climate, then its not a stretch to think that some gay activist changed the data point. When I made the video, it was 2500. They later changed it to 300. Hmm. More liars not wanting to show the "increase" in fires after the gay marriage fiasco. JUST like ClimateGate methods.
mormonanswerman 2 years ago
If you actually watched the video I posted you would have seen why you are out of arguments. You have no business calling other people liars when fudge data yourself. And if you think that god sends fires to kill people because he gets pissed off with the way consenting adults live their lives, then you need to take a bubble bath with a toaster. Plugged in.
Raptor302 2 years ago
You need to merely open a Bible or Quran and read about Sodom and Gomorrah to understand that God DOES indeed send fire and brimstone from heaven to rain on the earth from time to time as wickedness merits it. Yeah, I do think that. So do more people than those who don't. Its called 2/3 of THE WORLD who adhere to Christianity and Islam who believe this story. You're apparently among the deniers?
mormonanswerman 2 years ago
We're talking about the same bible that says that the earth is flat and has the story about a snake with vocal cords, right? Yeah, it has as much credibility as you do right about now. *Scrapping the bottom of a bucket*
Raptor302 2 years ago
The Bible never said the earth was flat, and the snake with vocal cords? Have you ever seen the dog on America's Funniest Videos (AFV) say "I love you" rather clearly? Are you saying its impossible for animals to mimic our speech? Have you ever heard of a parrot?
So since its so possible for this to happen, you doubt the validity of the Bible because it also has a story on it? Why don't you try and debunk AFV while you're at it. How's that working out for you?
mormonanswerman 2 years ago
flat earth: Isaiah 40:22
America's Funniest Home videos is what you're appealing to now? Do you religious people ever make any sense? No snakes don't talk and never did. Parrots mimic words, but don't speak fluently.
You keep beating around the bush. Your bible is not credible or authoritative in any sense. And your a liar. Have a nice life.
Raptor302 2 years ago
This video was great! But I hope you arent comparing this mormon nut case to other Christians like me. That would hurt my feelings.
jimu57 2 years ago
That's what Christians do, they call other Christians names and hurt their feelings instead. Makes sense.
Check out the Sermon on the Mount and let me know how that works out for you.
mormonanswerman 2 years ago
Ok. I apologize for the nutcase remark. Truly. I just dont how you can say that gays caused fires. Especially when you use invalid data. You might as well condemn hammers for causing profanity.
jimu57 2 years ago
I didn't say that gays cause fires. That's the whole point. I mashed up a video with data that WAS on CALFIREs website, but changed MONTHS later, and this anticitizen calls me a liar because it changed, and then asks me to retract.
That's like asking the guys that hacked the ClimateGate emails to retract. It makes no sense. I am not the liar. My video is apparently "wrong" now, but, IS it? I am not so sure about that, so I leave it.
mormonanswerman 2 years ago
@mormonanswerman
[I didn't say that gays cause fires.]
baloney. The whole reason you made the video was to imply this very idea. Don't pull this crap, MaM. We're not idiots.
AntiCitizenX 2 years ago
Ok. I understand. Sorry about the name calling. I understand your rationale of the data and its comparison you were making. but you can take data and compare it to anything. you have to be careful in doing that because you will always be criticized even if the data is correct. just like showing a study that there is more crime on a full moon, which is true actually. but you can imagine some that will try to blow it out of the water.
jimu57 2 years ago
I just don't understand why first thing you would guess about lighting is GOD?! Why not other reasons, like, for example, invisible dinosaurs, flying in the sky more often and rubbing each other in the sky and generating static electricity?
ricardas83 2 years ago 2
I'll take one step further. Why does it have to be be from something at all? California has always been prone to lighting strikes and fires. That year had more. I say, so what! It doesn't signify anything other than a lot of lighting that year.
charkopolis 2 years ago
But there was an unprecedented WEEK where the number of fires that WEEK exceeded the YEARLY totals for other years. If you only divide a year by weeks you get 52.
So, when something is 52 times greater... well, maybe its just me, but I think that's significant?
mormonanswerman 2 years ago
I'm staring at CALFires Lightning fact sheet right now. This is at the bottom:
*Typically, lightning causes less than 10 percent of the fires within CAL FIRES's jurisdiction. During the *1987 California fire season a total of 13,476 fires occured, burning 873,000 acres. Most of this was due to dry lightning which occured between August 29 and September 11. The majority of the fires and acreage were located within U. S. Forest Service jurisdiction.
You're a liar.
Exmech2 2 years ago
Well, in my opinion, looking at CALFIRE's "fact" sheet right now has about as much credibility as looking at University of East Anglia's Climate Research Unit's doctored emails and taking it for granted that nothing's changed. Let me know how that works out for you.
mormonanswerman 2 years ago

It's just bad weather.
charkopolis 2 years ago
You're reading more into this story than was ever there...
Don't imply that I said that stuff, because all I did was report the data and then ask, basically, "What do YOU think about this event?"
mormonanswerman 2 years ago
@mormonanswerman
AntiCitizenX 2 years ago
I don't know, lightning kind of causes fires, and we can measure things like that.
mormonanswerman 2 years ago
Get over it. This whole debate is ridiculous. Rartionalize it however you like, but you took the presented data and changed it. That's called intellectual dishonesty. If there is a conspiracy, show evidence for that! Don't just say so. If you had a moral bone in your body, you would have retracted your statement long ago.
charkopolis 2 years ago
The ONLY debate that I am having here is the debate over whether I was lying or not, and I am telling you I was not lying but reporting EXACTLY what was on the CALFIRE website, news sites, etc; during that week.
Then anticitizen, johnny come lately, comes along THREE MONTHS LATER and decides to do a little "check up" and sees that CALFIRE has changed the data and immediately, like sheeple, accuses that I lied. That shows how gullible he actually was/is. I didn't change a thing. Research!
mormonanswerman 2 years ago
@mormonanswerman
It is far more likely that you screwed up than firefighters are covering up data. The fact that you refuse to even admit this possibility makes you even more intellectually dishonest.
AntiCitizenX 2 years ago
My own brother is a FIRE FIGHTER and he thinks the same way I do. He actually led batalions as a CHIEF fighting the fires in California unlike the four San Francisco judges who probably hopped on a jet plane to get the heck out of Dodge once the smoke started floating their way. Once the lightning started hammering down on SF.
Don't talk about what is "likely" because you have no idea, being an obvious supporter, a biased supporter of gay marriage and that's what this smear is all about.
mormonanswerman 2 years ago
My brother being one of those veteran fire fighters knows better than anybody about the POLITICS that even takes place within the ranks of the fire fighting system. They have to deal with politics all the time. He's just a soldier and has nothing to do with the POLITICIANS who get involved with the data and the presentation of data. Know thy facts.
mormonanswerman 2 years ago
My own brother, the CHIEF FIRE FIGHTER, also wondered what the heck was going on when all that lightning broke out, and how it coincided with the judges ruling and all... and he said that the FIRE FIGHTERS were thinking it.
Its not just me. Ask the fire fighters what they thought. They had to deal directly with it and it was DIFFERENT than EVER before. Don't be a denier.
mormonanswerman 2 years ago
So it was your brother that tallied up all the fires for CAL fire? What it the person that your citing? Do you have a reliable source? Do you understand that taking information from CAL fire, then adjusting the numbers while not explaining why on your video makes you dishonest?
charkopolis 2 years ago
Do you understand, Chark, that the numbers on CALFIRE changed after the fact? Can you understand that simple concept?
mormonanswerman 2 years ago
So... you're claiming that because your idiotic video the CALFire agents, who nightly scour the internetz in search of clues, the agent in charge sent a frantic call to the IT department to concoct new figures to protect the gay agenda from being outed by mormonidiotman?
You're a liar. You insult our intelligences. You're deluded. Have a nice day.
Exmech2 2 years ago
You are still defending AGW on your channel, despite the revelations that those scientists were falsifying the data, and you talk of delusions. Well that is not consistent and does not make sense.
mormonanswerman 2 years ago
Stop it already, you Alex Jones sheep. There was no evidence of fraud.
communications/downloads/fact_sheets/2008SummaryDOTpdf
Statest that there were 3,593 total fires in 2008, down from 3,610 in 2007 in the CALFire jurisdiction. You're manipulating data again.
Exmech2 2 years ago
Oh, not just Mr. Jone, FOX NEWS also has been doing some revelations on this, even if MSNBC still wants to talk of Obama star power
mormonanswerman 2 years ago
No. They haven't. They've merely been parroting each other. There as no fraud. Merely hype from the ignorant.

@mormonanswerman
AntiCitizenX 2 years ago
Of course I am aware of NIFC, but are YOU aware of what else CALFIRE is saying AND reporting about this?
2000 fires in ONE WEEK. Unprecedented. Here's their language on that: "On June 20, 2008, a severe thunderstorm system moved through northern and central California resulting in over 6,000 total lightning strikes in more than 26 counties. The overwhelming number of lightning strikes, along with record dry conditions sparked over two thousand lightning fires."
mormonanswerman 2 years ago
More from CALFIRE:
"To date, 2,096 fires have burned nearly 1.2 million acres."
Ok, that's telling. It goes from 2000+/- to 2096 later in the year 2008, indicating that the yearly totals seem to hide things anyway. More:
"As one of the most severe wildland fire situations ever experienced in Californias history, these fires destroyed a total of 511 structures and have taken 15 lives."
IT WAS AN EVENT of EVENTS. Please get over it.
mormonanswerman 2 years ago
PLEASE NOTE, and don't miss it, that CALFIRE said that these 6000 lightning strikes took place in the one week and that it did NOT include fire totals from SOUTHERN CA. Did NOT. Now go and look at your numbers from the NIFC and check that out.
So if we have all these fires up north and coming early in the year, that is an EVENT of unprecedented proportions.
mormonanswerman 2 years ago
@mormonanswerman you do know that even if your right all you have is a correlation not causation
and also no necessary inferrence to a concept youve labbelled god it could be the skittle monster who lives at the bottom of oak trees
excandersham 2 years ago
I know, I know there's a correlation and not a causation! But WHAT a correlation, because in the history of California there is nothing to correlate it with! It stands all on its own, and it came down right upon a certain political ruling on marriage, and I think that's the ONLY correlation I can find! Its the only one that exists!
It makes even the least inquiring minds ask the questions.
mormonanswerman 2 years ago
@mormonanswerman
we had gay marriage here and no fires so god is extremely inconsistent
he only hates american gays?
excandersham 2 years ago
My understanding of the scriptures that have reported on God's dealings with mankind, is that He tends to shoot a shot across the bow, and then a long period of silence, and thenif things don't change, WHAM.
We would be waiting for WHAM if the voters did not pass Prop 8 IMO. I think a lot of people woke up. I don't know if the lightning did it. I think brazen judges seeking for power actually did it. I think they ticked a lot of people off.
mormonanswerman 2 years ago
Inquiring minds want to know, eh?
So why was jesus hanging out with all those burly fish smelling guys? Why did he kiss them? Did he really "love" them? I mean the biblical "love" and all? Doesn't the bible teach us that jesus was a flaming homo? Just inquiring.
Exmech2 2 years ago
So I guess if you can ask those questions, I can ask my kind of questions. Its all fair to ask the questions.
Let me know how YOUR questions work out for you on judgment day.

I'd like to know whether you admitted your error as pointed out in AntiCitizenX's video

but of course it's 'pending approval' so will be unlikely
to see the light of day. Whenever someone does that it instantly tells me that they can't take the truth!
farvision 2 years ago
He has commented on this forum, and proceeds to rationalize his "error".
charkopolis 2 years ago
Open your eyes. CA changed their data. The real question is WHY. Why do they publish what I published, and then change it? Ask yourself that.
mormonanswerman 2 years ago
Not MY error, but the CALFIRE website error. What they published, I reported. You can be a doubter if you want to, but I know I didn't make up the data, so?
mormonanswerman 2 years ago
@farvision
Just look at his comments below. He admits to mixing his sources for the data but still refuses to accept that such behavior is intrinsically misleading.
AntiCitizenX 2 years ago
You assume it is ME that is misleading. CA put up the data in the first place. I copied that. I think it shows ignorance when people don't question these kinds of things.
mormonanswerman 2 years ago

ONLY.
mormonanswerman 2 years ago
Sure you aren't.
;)
Don't worry, your secret is safe with us.
cryan71 2 years ago
You ignore the concept of lexicon and how language changes.
I don't give a fuck if that's the definition you want to live by, but you have no right to push your thoughts and beliefs onto other people based on your religious beliefs. Hell if everyone was allowed to push their religious shit onto other people, it wouldn't be long before the christian majority pushed their shit onto the mormon minority, and you wouldn't like that would you?
Bluedragon094 2 years ago 3
You see this all the time, but here's a tip: You can't claim that your violation of someone's copyright is fair use. There's no such thing as a fair use disclaimer. It means absolutely nothing in court. In fact, the disclaimer is an admission that you KNOW you're violating someone's copyright. That just makes things worse.
mccrazy1797 2 years ago
That comment has nothing to do with the topic of this video - I haven't even watched past the disclaimer yet.
mccrazy1797 2 years ago
It's not really intended to be a "fair use disclaimer" so much as a disclaimer that this is "criticism and satire." If you go around making statements about someone's character without prefacing it with something to the effect of "this is just my honest opinion," then you potentially are committing defamation. But I can see your point.
AntiCitizenX 2 years ago
And I see yours. I really liked the video, by the way.
mccrazy1797 2 years ago
I have a pro gay rights (though anti MARRIAGE) mormon friend. don't generalize that all mormons are bigots, that makes us as bad as them
This mormon answerman dude is a quack though.
the1produkt 2 years ago
Where did I generalize to all Mormons? I hope I did not give that impression, since MaM is a very far-out case.
Strictly speaking, however, the official stance of the LDS church is to be fiercely anti-gay. They try to put a positive loving spin on it, but in the end it is nothing more than old fashioned bigotry dictated by the general authorities. So I would argue that you cannot be a "good Mormon" and still be "pro gay." I feel the two are incompatible.
AntiCitizenX 2 years ago
ur right. Pro gay is anti-Christ.
mormonanswerman 2 years ago
Your pro-gay rights "mormon" friend is not a mormon if they are pro-gay rights. All mormons are bigots according to YOUR definition of bigotry. To me, it seems that people who yell and scream to get their way are the ones in the wrong.
mormonanswerman 2 years ago
Hooray! MaM is back!
And if I may pose a comment...
AntiCitizenX 2 years ago
No, it is NOT unconstitutional to think religious. It is NOT unconstitutional to exercise your opinions, whether they be secular, religious, atheist, socialist, or plain dumb. All have a right to think, vote, their conscience.
It doesn't matter what we think, we can vote. If you want to have a dumb uneducated opinion, you can, and you can even vote on that. That's why so many BAD politicians get elected: STOOPID people?
mormonanswerman 2 years ago
@mormonanswerman
AntiCitizenX 2 years ago
Is English this guy's first language?
silentwisp7 2 years ago
He never said it was unconstitutional to think religiously, HOWEVER it IS unconstitutional for laws to be based SOLELY on religious grounds.
Furthermore, if god is omnipotent and etc, WHY CAN'T HE PUNISH THE GAYS ON HIS OWN ANYWAY?!
Why DO YOU feel obligated to do god's judgment?
That's the one thing i never understood about theists, apparently their gods are so powerful BUT when it comes down to BASHING the gays, can't let god have all the fun, nope. Time for us theists to step in!
Bluedragon094 2 years ago 5
Yeah, I wonder about that too. If God hates Gay so much then why did he create it? Baffles me.
Then again He created Stealing, Greed, etc etc etc, so i suppose.....free will eh? Pfffff.
