  • did someone say "bring on the flamer" at the beginning?

  • oh so full of self righteous indignation you could burst bullshit all the way to pluto.

  • How people can't understand that vegetarianism is a way to minimize the needs for cruel animal exploration? If you don't want to became one, that's your right. You can say that you don't matter with animal suffering and so on, but it doesn't make any sense for me the idea that the first statement in this comment is not true. There's no need for more arguments than that. @USSBN734, do you disagree with that?

  • there is more important things in the world. just like starvation. people should solve this problem before making songs like that.

  • @serbestcagrisim Ghandi said he'd rather die of starvation than ever eat meat again. This is coming from someone who witnessed great suffering of the people of India.

If everyone became vegetarian the grain we feed to livestock could easily feed the world's starving and dying.

Meat is the problem, not a solution.

  • @miyazaki6777 well ganghi was an asshole. I didn't know he was talking like that while his people dying. But we can count hunting in murder. Because they just killing animals for fun this should be forbidden

  • @serbestcagrisim I agree. The only humane thing to do is let the animals starve to death.

  • @serbestcagrisim If everyone became vegetarian the grain we feed to livestock could easily feed the world's starving and dying.

Meat is the problem, not a solution.

  • @tooleanda You're fucking retarded. I'd offer an explanation as to why you're fucking retarded, but you wouldn't understand it anyway.

  • This song makes me hungry for a thick, juicy steak.

  • GO VEGAN!

  • meat is murder

    milk is rape

    but what really tastes good

    is deep fried ape!

So grab that primate by the paw

and serve him up with fresh coleslaw

  • Hah Hah I wrote a song in response to this back in the 80's called " Meat is Mother".

    watch?v=gIQos8yR17E

  • yea vegetarianism :D

  • some of his best lyrics ever in this song

  • 4:01 Goosebumps! I think this song is more powerful live than on record. Morrissey really goes for it, it's brilliant.

  • @mozroz He really does push this performance. It displays how passionately he feels about it. It's not just a fad to him.

  • Thank you this is the truth.

  • @shambolism "do you call heart-disease, cancer, diabetes, and obesity healthy?" I refer you to the favorite study of the cultists, misrepresented in the hack book, "The China Study"

Best diet for longevity & health? 90-95% vegetarian, 10-5% meat.

And that is the inconvenient truth.

  • @shambolism If you are going to appeal to authority in naming "millions of healthy vegetarians" I will trump your millions with billions of healthy omnivores.

"Carnivores don't get atherosclerosis" Man you just LOVE quoting bullshit don't you! "Influence of dietary fatty acids on the composition of plasma fatty acids in the tundra wolf (Canis lupus tundrarum)"

So either you are a liar, or you are just uneducated and quoting that which you know nothing about.

So your name "sham" is apropos.

  • @USSBN734 I eas questioning the dickhead definition of murder. What bullshit are you 'debunking', exactly?

  • The Smiths is my childhood hero. My sons names are Morrissey & Marr, but even that, I eat meat and, occasionally, veggies as long as it has meat as an ingredient . Meat Is Murder is one of my fave song of all time...I agree with Morrissey and all of you because it really does our body good if we eat vegetables instead of meat...but everything is a part of the ecological balance...if most of us, stop eating meat, then most of the spared animals will consume the veggies that you vegetarians need

  • I've never understood wether we are onnivores or not.......

  • @Micro94Ice We are not. We can eat other animals, but it's very damaging to our health.

  • Every time I hear this song I feel like getting a burger...

  • DEDICO ESTE VIDEO A TODOS LOS "AMANTES DEL ARTE" QUE SE CITAN EN TORDESILLAS (VALLADOLID) CADA AÑO PARA TORTURAR A UN TORO.

  • no its yummy

  • If you've seen recent pics of Moz recently, looks like he's been sneaking some cheeseburgers into his lunch pail. Just saying.

  • meat is a part of humans meal so its one thing to be against testing all kind of chemikals and stuf on puppies and eating chiken its anothher and its all about the money and the song is good so stfu i like meat

  • @sickolinokio So your saying it is OK to cause UNNECESSARY SUFFERING to other animals(non-humans)

Our BEST JUSTIFICATION for causing unimaginable suffering to beings who share a similar physiology to us & therefore the same capacity to experience pain as we do, is that they "TASTE GOOD!!"

    Where is your morality?

  • @goldbullet50 You probably better qualify that, are u talking about human & non-human or human or non-human meat?

  • @veganath What?

  • @goldbullet50 come hear so i can rip out your insides and shove your carcass down my throat while you scream for help, then.

  • *eats steak

    Oh, this song is okay.

  • I object to factory farming and the cruelty often associated with that but not the eating of meat itself, since my view is that meat eating is a perfectly natural thing for humans and animals to do. The RSPCA have the right idea on this with their Freedom Food scheme, which rightly aims to ensure high welfare standards for animals reared for food.

  • Yeah people talk about how horrible is the way us humans "cAtch food" these days ..Cyotes are no better... They send out a bitch in heat to atrract other dogs then jump the poor bastard as hes getting his groove on. Animals are food and so am I . If im wandering trhough the alaskan tundra and get eaten by a bear... My fault. If im wandering down the boardwalk and want a big juicy cheeseburger, im having it guilt free dammit! Humans are more highly sophisticate an animal..its not my fault someo

  • MORRISSEY ES DIOS!

  • this performance is so powerful

  • I noticed that Morrissey said at his concert in Poland that the massacre that just happened in Norway last week with its 97 people being killed, (most of them teenagers btw) is NOTHING compared with the murders made by McDonalds and KFC, that was an idiotic statement from Morrissey and i have no longer any more respect for him. It's not that he spoke his opinion that angers me, but it was totally unnecessary to compare it with a happening that just took place, with alot of people grieving!

  • @ims2703 as sad as it is in natures eyes humans are equals to animals. the 97 people killed in norway is a horrible thing but what about the kids dying in africa? he has a point a sick point but a point.

  • @ims2703 I agree with you. When I heard that Morrissey had said this, I also lost a lot of respect for him. He should have thought before making that statement - it was the wrong thing to say at the wrong time.

  • este tema es lo mejor

  • Meat is such an inefficient way to produce protein. Stop depending on it.

  • No one hears when they cry.

  • It is so easy to eat a hamburger--when you are so far removed from the little calf being born then snathced from its mother, fed in an unnatural way, fattened, living in sqawler, being mistreated and then slaughtered. You only see the hamburger. If you eat meat then watch the entire life of these animals before they are killed. I was in love with Morrisey at age 15 and became a veggie soon after.

  • @ERIdeepthinker212 There is nothing wrong with eating meat. I've been to a slaughterhouse when I was 8 and my father is a butcher. You know nothing of how animals are raised before they are slaughtered. None of those things you've listed happens on farms across the country and across the world.

And why don't you feel the same sympathy for plants? They are just as organic and living as animals.

  • @RashaTwain hey hey hey! Calm down. We're not here to say who's right and who's wrong. ERIdeepthinker212 was just saying why he feels how he feels. I just look at consumption as the circle of life, meat and plants as a whole. Can't we just learn to get along?

  • @RashaTwain

I've seen many Texan slaughterhouses, it's widely known the "Mad Cowboy" rancher who went vegan also has, so it's hilarious you'd ASSume strangers haven't been places merely b/c they disagree w/Your Highness; it's also WIDELY known that many vegans go to slaughterhouses to look for violations.

and yes, abuse DOES happen liar, we've proven it to judges. But inspections in USA are so rare (and typ ANNOUNCED) that mostly owners are relied upon to police selves & workers.

  • @ThalamusMinimus Well I just love meat. Yum, yum, yum. Abuse tastes good!

  • @Rasha

Please come up w/something original (funny), or at least sumphin shocking/offensive. What a boor & a bore

You're a weak/cowardly little man who picks on even weaker sentient animals; it's ALL u can kill. In contrast I murder ONLY the hardest species: not out of selfish enjoyment like u, only if they threaten others' lives

P.S. ur "recent posts" (several rants on "1080p" of all things) & faves r bland as ur last post: My fuck, I'd get suicidal & BORE myself 2 death if I were u.

  • @ThalamusMinimus Wow you read my shit? Nice man, it's nice to know I have fans. Which was your favorite post of mine?

  • @RashaTwain My favorite post by you will be your last one. 8)

  • Simplemente divinos

  • cause lobsters are soooo yummy!!

  • whether humans are herbivores, omnivores,or carnivores we are moral beings first, and have evolved to a point where it is no longer necessary to eat meat, therefore it is death for no reason. and as moz says, death for no reason is murder

  • @ollieeSkate haha ... stop wearing your fuzzy pink glasses and see what nature really is... life is cruel.

we are animals first, moral is just something we created, nothing more.

  • @grindkerensky my main point is that we as a species have evolved to a point where it is unneccessary for us to eat meat, and therefore slaughtering animals is death for no reason. morality is a seperate debate

  • @ollieeSkate we have not evolved beyond the need for meat, but i give you that we dont need meat everyday.

"death for no reason" there isnt even life for a reason ...

  • @grindkerensky i do not eat meat at all, nor do millions of other perfectly healthy people, therefore it is unneccessary.

  • This is great. Now, if only we could convince Morrissey to stop being a crypto-fascist.

  • How can anyone justify boiling lobsters to death?

  • A lot of people seem to be using very contradictory facts. One person says our teeth are suited to eat meat and the next person says the opposite. Obviously I haven't done any research in this subject, but I will say that just because we don't have a thick coat of fur, doesn't mean we ar more like lizards than monkeys. To say we have digestive tracts similar in length to cow and therefore we must be herbivores is stupid. Cows have four stomachs and are able to break down cellulose, we can not.

  • Morrissey is passionate about Animal rights, if you dont like what he sings about, dont fuckin click on his songs!

  • He told Madrid "your national sport isn't very kind"

Its a FUCKIN DISGRACE SPAIN, You should be shamed!

  • Our stomachs are an Animal graveyard

  • @whereangelsplay1 so every carnivorous animal is a graveyard then? ... bullshit, stop looking through pink glasses and see nature with your eyes for fucks sake...

  • Damn, animals are so tasty!

If we're not meant to be eating meat then why do we have teeth that can chew it?

  • @spiderjerusalem100

Actually, we aren't physically meant to eat meat. Meat-eaters have claws. Herbivores have none. And guess what? Humans neither! Meat-eaters have no skin pores and perspire through the tongue. Herbivores perspire through skin pores, just like us! Meat-eaters have sharp front teeth for tearing, with no flat molar teeth for grinding. Herbivores, and us, have no sharp front teeth, but flat rear molars for grinding.

  • (cont.) Meat-eaters have intestinal tract that is only 3 times their body length so that rapidly decaying meat can pass through quickly. Herbivores (us) have intestinal tract 10-12 times our body length. Meat-eaters have strong hydrochloric acid in stomach to digest meat. Herbivores have stomach acid that is 20 times weaker than that of a meat-eater, just like us.

  • (Cont.) Meat eaters don't have salivary glands in mouth because they are not needed to pre-digest grains and fruits. Herbivores (and us) have well-developed salivary glands which are necessary to pre-digest grains and fruits Meat-eaters have acid saliva with no enzyme ptyalin to pre-digest grains.

Herbivores *and us) have alkaline saliva with ptyalin to pre-digest grains.

  • (cont. and ending) (Based on a chart by A.D. Andrews, Fit Food for Men, (Chicago: American Hygiene Society, 1970))

Clearly if humans were meant to eat meat we wouldn't have so many crucial ingestive/digestive similarities with animals that are herbivores.

  • @NathalieForBlueSkies we are omnivores. meat contains more nutritions that herbs. the proteins in meat helped us to develope a bigger brain, and so its leading to our current evolutionary state. just because we have some similarities with herbivores doesnt mean we are like these animals. and because humans are high evolved, of differently doesnt mean that the same traits of hunters must be found in us too. we hunt differently than other animals. get your stories straight.

  • This song made me vegetarian!

  • You guys over think life, just fucking eat what the fuck you want and enjoy your life while it fucking lasts.

  • i sometimes consider becoming a vegetarian but then i remember that we are all animals and most animals eat meat aswell

  • @conor293

Yes, to live they have to. We are omnivores, we can live with or without. Lions, wolves, and other carnivores can not.

  • @AyashaYumi thats a great argument because we are the only omnivores in the world. congratulations, you're a fucking genious.

  • @conor293

We are not the only omnivores in the world, wtf, read a book you ass-shat.

  • @AyashaYumi i have read a book, it was about sarcasm, i think you should read it, its called 'i was being sarcastic you fucking moron', you said that there was a difference between humans and the likes of lions and wolves. i was stating that their is no difference between us and the likes of chipmunks and bears, and by the way, i don't think i've ever came across the word 'ass-shat' in a book before. Not even in my book about sarcasm.

  • @conor293

    In other words, you're trolling.

This went stupid fast. No thanks.

  • great band

  • Cynical attitudes from boastful people, I hope you die in a hotel fire. Fucking vegetarian smug-lords.

  • @crowbarftw

Bet you do so your sick ass can eat us.

    Ignorant as meat-eater.

  • Thank you so much The Smiths...

  • WHAT A SHITTY SOUNDING BAND

  • I'm sure a crocodile or a bear could be persuaded to change it's eating habits after listening to this. Maybe if the lion wasn't so beligerant it could eat the grass on the plains of Africa. In years to come we would eslave them to be our very own living lawnmowers, locked in a cramped toolshed, in it's own cage. It could have all the grass it wants.. There's always plenty of grass.

  • Meat is murder, sweat tasty murder.

  • There are some real halfwits posting stuff up on here and I am happy to see it is as in most cases the ones that quite clearly do NOT GET the music of The Smiths. Therefore it is of no surprise that certain postings below that are basically saying it is OK to kill and harm animals with no consequence cannot spell or construct a sentence.

  • False.

Murder-The crime of unlawfully killing a PERSON especially with malice aforethought.

Meat- ANIMAL tissue considered especially as food.

Person- The body of a HUMAN BEINGS.

Animal- One of the lower animals as distinguished from HUMAN BEINGS.

The title of this song should be, " I feel sympathetic for animals that must die so predators can live, therefore I cry and inaccurately define meat as murder!"

  • @sabybaby99 Your use of the phrase "one of the lower animals" suggests a Christian-based idea that we as humans are somehow "higher" on the evolutionary scale than animals because we can reason and walk upright. And because the Bible tells us so. Personally, I believe mammals are mammals. In my humble opinion the song title fits perfectly. Respect.

  • @steinber Nope. Not in anyway Christian-based. Common sense and logic based. The death of any living thing is simply death. Nature and all it's creatures do not have terms for it. It simply exists. These are all man-made terms including murder. No one has ever been convicted in court of murdering anything other than a human, because murder is defined as one human killing another person.

  • @sabybaby99 Did you want fries with that?

  • @steinber yes, and a cheeseburger.

  • @sabybaby99 It's your colon.

  • @sabybaby99 I feel bad for you, not learning the true definition of the word "Selfish."

  • @sabybaby99 You are such a fucking dumbass. People ARE animals. What gives us rights over them? We're animals, just like cows.

  • @cerystalkstoyouall Our capacity to suffer is greater, thats what rights are based on.

  • Bela e triste canção...

  • I forgot to add that those who eat meat do not live as long, have more heart disease and cancer and probably prioritize their tastebuds over all else, getting fatter and driving up health care costs while hiding behind excuses such as cultural norms and stupid religious leaders that condone meat-eating. People were upset about Michael Vick but those eating meat are much more guilty of senseless cruelty and murder. Have we learned nothing from G a

  • @vegigirl100 u be very wacked, i know many veggie types who are fat and nasty cause thye eat garbage - off ur soap box dill weed, have some good chow. Why do you think we got the jaw and teeth we have - chicken yummy

  • @7146533 ...what?.......

  • @7146533 We're most similar to other herbivores, and drastically different from carnivores and true omnivores. Our so-called "canine teeth" are "canine" in name only. Other plant-eaters (like gorillas, horses, and hippos) have "canines", and chimps, who are almost exclusively vegan, have massive canines compared to ours.

Our teeth, saliva, stomach acid, and intestines are most similar to other plant-eaters, and dissimilar to carnivores and true omnivores.

So stop falling for the meat myths...

  • @GothClassics Over time evolution has given animals the senses to taste for the things that they have adapted to need. Gorillas, horses, and hippos won't eat meat because they dislike the taste and their bodies cannot digest it. Wolves, lions etc. don't like plants because they don't like the taste and they can't digest it. Strange thing is I like meat and plants and digest them well. Ill show you the poop if you'd like.

  • @sabybaby99 Actually, you don't digest them well, and eating meat lowers your life expectancy by 10-30 years. A healthy human should poop about twice a day. Most meat eaters poop about once every two days. We don't have the digestive tract to support animal flesh. Just compare ours to a cows and then to a lion. Very Different to a lion's. Much closer to a cow's.

  • @shambolism Fuck shitting twice a day, thats like 10 minutes of the day that i can't eat meat.

  • @shambolism Yes, you're right. Like cows, we have four stomachs and chew our cuds. I guess we both used the same homeschool biology textbook. :)

  • @acr08807 Lol, not familiar with that one! But hey, I went to an actual school where I was taught to look at the evidence before making decisions, rather than swallowing whatever rubbish was shoved in my face.

  • @shambolism And yet you think our digestive system is more like a cow's than like a lion's.

  • @acr08807 Our digestive system has more in common with herbivores' than with carnivores'. Our, teeth, stomach, and intestines are all optimised to digest plant matter, not animals. We *can* eat animals, just like we *can* smoke tobacco. That doesn't mean we *should* or that it's good for us.

  • @shambolism Somebody has to be the biggest idiot on youtube. I always figured it would be a creationist, but no, it's you.

  • @acr08807 And now you're resorting to personal indults because have nothing to rebut me with. Well done. Your willful ignorance makes me cringe.

  • @shambolism Saying that you're the biggest idiot on youtube isn't an "indult." It's a fact. Learn some science and we might be able to have a conversation, but, until you do, I'm just going to have a laugh at your expense.

  • @acr08807 Now you'r picking on my typos, confirming that you have nothing better to add. Try doing some research before coming at me with science, because it's all on my side, as are the millions of healthy vegans and vegetarians living as proof we don't need animals to survive. You are emotionally attached to eating animals and I threaten you. That's why you attack me. I pity you.

  • @shambolism I understand what you are trying to say, but you are saying it in such a smug self-satisfied way, sprinkled with ignorance and outright falsifications, that you are not helping your cause.

IE Pigs: Learn something about the species they are driving to extinction in NA.

"Try doing some research" You should try it yourself.

"because it's all on my side" Wrong.

"millions of healthy vegans" Appealing to authority? I take your millions and trump you billions.

  • @shambolism That really hurts, coming from someone who probably took notes in middle school biology on cocktail napkins. Do enlighten us all--please name one specific thing in the human digestive system that is more like that of herbivores (and please specify which herbivores) than like carnivores (again, which carnivores)? For example, is there a protein that is expressed in the digestive tract of herbivores and humans but not in carnivores?

  • @shambolism And yet you post the ripest bullshit so easily debunked. Hmmm.

  • It is death for no reason because it is not necessary for survival in ANY way. We don't need to eat or wear them. Only those that are selfish, egocentric, and arrogant would eat and wear animals. You also have no regard for animal welfare, cruelty,.

  • i dont understand why it says death for no reason and death for no reason is murder.

if we eat them and wear them then theirs a reason so its not MURDER

  • @Mnicaiwky So if I kill my wife because I don't like her hair, that's not murder? I have a reason, afterall.

  • @shambolism If you don't know the difference then there is no point talking to you.

What about the animals YOU kill?

  • @USSBN734 Also, I don't kill animals. Not for food, not for sport, not for clothing. How about the Meiwes case, then? He killed and ate a guy. By Mnicaiwky's definition, that's not murder.

  • @shambolism "I don't kill animals" Of course you do. You pay for them to be killed every time you buy vegetables. What do you think farmers do with the animals that eat their crops?

You also kill animals that infest your house. Your house represents killed and displaced animals. The farm that feeds you is destroyed habitat and thousands of animals are killed per acre every year feeding you.

So again, how do you justify the animals YOU kill.

  • @USSBN734 Good points, if a little flamey. I try not to kill insects or rodents that come into my living space; I put them outside and block up any holes. I can't condone or justify the killing and displacement of animals that has ocurred through my being alive, but I can make as small an impact as possible today by not using animals for my own pleasure. I buy organic and local food whenever I can, and I don't wear leather or wool. (Cont...)

  • (...Cont) In short, I try as hard as I can not to exploit other animals for my own ends. Animals are not food, they are not tools, and they are not clothing. I have the priveledge to make these decisions, living in a modern Western society. To say that, "hey, it's happened, may as well keep doing it (killing/eating/wearing/exploiting)" is to ignore the fact that we no longer need other animals to survive, and also ignores the blatant hypocrisy that exists in our society... (Cont...)

  • (...Cont) when we say we "love" our animals, then proceed to use them as commodities. I have had farmers tell me that they "love" their cows, and then send them to an abbotoir. Pigs are just as smart and affecionate as dogs, yet we kill them on genocidal scales, along with chickens, turkeys, deer, and others. Medically, we don't need to eat other animals. Environmentally, we should stop exploiting other animals. Ethically, we cannot justify eating animals for our gratification.

  • @shambolism "Pigs" Pigs are an invasive species, and the top cause of sea turtle nest destruction on the US coast. I studied them in the 80's on Cumberland Island when we were trying to save the sea turtles, and we are succeeding. How?

By facing the facts. Trapping didn't work. Contraception didn't work. Neutering didn't work. Poisoning destroys non-target species. Killing them with rifles, shotguns, bows works.

And on the best organic farm, they still kill animals. (cont)

  • @shambolism (cont) There is no way to avoid killing animals. Everyone living on the planet does it. The most devout Jain destroys animals by the millions over their lifetime. By blocking the holes to your house, you are starving animals.

The point is this: Personally I applaud your efforts to minimize your impact, if that is what you feel you need to do, but a LOT of activists take that to the next step, and try to get into the faces of others with comments like "meat is murder" (cont2)

  • @shambolism (cont2) (which is about the dumbest statement on the planet. If it were true, then every human on the planet is guilty of murder. Give me a break.)

"Ethically, we cannot justify eating animals for our gratification." And that is where you are wrong, since ethical systems are not constants. YOU might not be able to justify it for YOU. But for me, there is nothing to justify.

Indeed in the case of pigs, it would be unethical for me to allow them to live.

  • @USSBN734 I understand you coming from an environmental viewpoint, in that you are trying to eradicate a pest, but you're ignoring the larger issue of factory farming, and its impact. 98% of meat in the US comes from CAFOs.

  • @shambolism "Medically, we don't need to eat other animals." Thanks to modern supplementation in the last 50 years. Traditional vegetarian societies weren't, by modern standards, as has been demonstrated by isotope analysis of their remains.

"Environmentally, we should stop exploiting other animals." Not possible. You are still living in a dreamworld if you think you can raise crops without defending them from the animals that would eat them.

    "cannot justify" Nothing TO justify.

  • @USSBN734 I take no supplements. I am aware of what fods I need to eat to get what I need, and I live in a society that enables me to get them.

Environmentally, animal agriculture is the largest contributor to greenhouse gas emission in the world. There was enough grain grown in the US last year to feed the entire planet, but most of it went to animals to convert into ineffecient food. Yes grown crops impacts on the planet, but no where near as much as animal agriculture, especially CAFOs.

  • @shambolism You need to read the recommendations by the vegan organizations. Even the most hard core recognize that you MUST supplement B12 or risk long term damage. And you take it whether you realize it or not, because foods are enriched with it now (bread, soy, many tofu brands), precisely because vegetarians were getting sick 20 years ago.

"enough grain grown in the US last year to feed the entire planet" And there you go spouting bullshit again. How much of that was suitable for humans?

  • @USSBN734 I live in Australia where it's possible to buy unfortified food. B12 is a contentious issue, but it's generally agreed we need between 2-3 micrograms per day, and deficiencies can take up to 20 years to develop. B12 doesn't come from meat, however; it comes from bacteria that live in soil, and there has been some research to suggest that organic produce may contain B12, but this is still ongoing.

  • @USSBN734 According to the National Corn Growers Association (a US industry body), about 80% of all corn grown in the US is consumed by livestock, poultry, and fish. It's fed as ground grain (suitable for humans), high-moisture corn (harvested early, left to ferment to feed to cattle - otherwise suitable for humans), and silage (not suitable for humans).

  • @USSBN734 In Australia, we grow a grain called sorghum, which is entirely suitable for human consumption. 98% of what is grown here (1.4Mt) is used exclusively in livestock feed, according to the QLD department of Primary Industries.

Where are you getting your "facts" from?

  • @USSBN734 As for your "billions" of healthy meat-easters, do you call heart-disease, cancer, diabetes, and obesity healthy? These are all diseases linked to consumption of animal products. Carnivores don't get atherosclerosis, herbivores do. So do humans.

  • @shambolism The fact is that the "50-80% grain used to feed cattle" is bullshit and always has been. Less than 10% of our grain production SUITABLE for human consumption is used to feed cattle. The VAST majority of grain, legumes, and other farm products given to cattle are given only AFTER they have been used for human purposes. IE Soy used to make tofu, waste given to cattle. Corn used to make corn oil, waste given to cattle. Same for rape seed, etc.

Your sources are lying to you.

  • @EricHobs

Simply because every predetor has it's prey also because unlike animals we have sense and don't do these things.

  • Read Animal Liberation by Peter Singer. Peace.

  • @HotGeneration100 Tom Regan's "Empty Cages" is fantastic as well.

  • this is a good song to listen to while munching a tasty bacon sandwich

  • FOR YOUR HEALTH

    FOR THE SAKE OF ANIMALS

    FOR OUR MOTHER EARTH

GIVE UP MEAT. FACTORY FARMING IS KILLING MOTHER EARTH .

  • @soheiljerusalem FOR THE SAKE OF ANIMALS? Do you know how animals die? Farms of food that you vegetarian ppl eat destroy homes and kill the animals so STFU. Farms for biodiesel production, do that 2 so care about how many animals you kill

  • @soheiljerusalem Meat is healthy

  • @oeyvind93 Really?? It is 2011 no government or health professional mandates that we need to eat anything derived from animals, on the contrary, most governments & health professionals are advocate less!!

We have NO biological need to eat other animals!! People like myself are evidence of this truth!

Our BEST JUSTIFICATION for causing unimaginable suffering to beings who share a similar physiology to use & therefore the same capacity to experience pain as we do, is that they "TASTE GOOD!!"

  • @soheiljerusalem

Mother Earth have been here for 4.5 billion years you imbecile, and she will be here long before we're gone.

What you're worried about is your own private habitat, not mother earth, so shut the fuck up, be human, be an omnivore, and eat a burger like you're suppose to naturally.

The suffering of the animals at the process needs to stop, but that's not our primary problem as a species, and i'm not going to give up natural human diet because Morrissey gets sad over dead cows.

  • Bueno sera culchido mas lediro con campirron sen tiras von traspillant! Vira le ranf son Morisey es bon bon!

  • Why would any religion support cruelty towards sentient beings? Most religions actually don't but leave it up to knuckle-scraping dumbasses to distort religious texts like the bible to support killing of animals for their own selfish needs. Fine, provide a living to rich cardiologists and oncologists who profit from your fatty diet. For the record, liberals tend to be very educated and deep thinkers that are not "black and white" in their views. Whoever thinks so is a moron like Bush and Palin.

  • Please read "The Food Revolution" by John Robbins and watch "Meet your Meat" narrated by Alec Baldwin. One silly myth is that we will run out of plants if we become vegetarians. Eating meat consumes much more plants and grains since tons are fed to livestock.

  • Dominion does not mean we should exploit, torture, and kill all sentient beings. Dominion means that we are to guard and protect the planet and all life. By eating meat, we destroy our health, our planet, and many species.

  • What moronic and ignorant statements! The fact is that meat IS murder. Morrissey could not be more correct. Dominion does not

  • Uh...no. Slaughtering a cow for food is not murder. Murder is a human being killing another with malice. Not out of defense, not during war...hence the verse in Exodus: "Thou shalt not commit murder" and in Ecclesiastes: "A time to kill, a time to heal".

In spite of the black & white world liberals believe we live in there are a myriad of colors out there.

By the way, this song musically is decent, the singing is pure dung, however. It's so annoying, it makes me want to destroy something.

  • @TheMOSEPH the fact is: slaughtering YOU for food is considered murder and I will go to jail for that. why isnt slaughtering a cow, which has no defense, murder?

  • Murder is murder, meat is food. If you say, treat animals with respect, that i agree. Peace.

  • i often think of this song when i eat a steak...been 25 years and I still do it! damn you morrisey... :)

  • vegan for life <3

  • I'm a v.proud vegetarian too :)

  • Why is no one talking about how AMAZING this performance is?

  • @idSuperego Why comment on something that's obvious? It's like saying, "Boy, the Sun sure is bright."

  • as one of the biggest smiths fans i really want a pork chop

  • Medium rare please.
