The producers or Matthew Fox (can't remember who said it exactly) stated that viewers will be satisfied yet sad with the ending of LOST. My guess is that the majority of the main characters die, if not all of them. I don't think Kate and Jack will end up together - they will both go on to raise Arron and David respectively. My first theory is that maybe the flash sideways is like this valentines day frasier episode..where there were 2 different choices this one guy made, that took him on different paths, but in the end of the episode, his paths intersected for the end result to be the same.

When it sinks, the camera pans out from the sinking island and back up to a plane flying across the sea, it is Oceanic Flight 815 from the episode titled LA X. Notice how when Ajira crashed, the time changed, when the Losties came back from '77, they warped back. What if they didn't exactly time travel, but they traveled through universes? Now there are some plot holes to this theory, but it was just a random thought.

I think this makes sense because as we've seen in recent episodes, Sawyer is startying to ally with Flocke in their quest to get off of the island. Jack is also finally realizing how important he is, and realizing maybe that his destiny is to do something important for the island. I think Jack will become the candidate to replace Jacob, and perhaps Sawyer will become the candidate to replace Flocke.
It also makes sense because we've seen the rivalry between Jack and sawyer for the whole show

I think the last scene will be the fist scene of the serie. It's gonna be some sort of loop. And the scene just before that will be Jacob succeeding in making the man in black fail his plan against Jacob. It's going to start everything over. Because the man in black said he'd find a loophole to get Jacob. But Jacob has a plan for sure.

More specifically, I think that it will end in some sort of an epic knife dual between Jack and Locke because you will notice in the opening scenes of the first episode that both of them have cuts on their face and body.
Also, Jack mentions in Jimmy Kimmel Live that the ending scene will be "the most epic of ways" to end a series; thus a knife duel could be a possibility.

The Last Scene: The losties on the Island have completed theire desteny's and are faced with a choise, live for ever on the Island and keep all your memory's of what has hapend, or be send to the live you would have lived if the bomb did go off, but the catch is you would not remember a thing.
I think the last scene will be everyone boarding the plane in Sydney. Jack and Kate will pass each other and look at each other sort of like they recognize one another. And then it will end with all of them LOST to the fact that it keeps happening in a loop.

In the full picture of gus' photo hunt from last week, the lady in the background is the same lady in Locke's crazy vision from season 1 where Boones repeating, "Theressa falls up the stairs, Theressa falls down the stars ect.." Idk it's just something I noticed

maybe Jacob was a candidate once? Maybe just history is about to repeat itself, Jack will be the new Jacob and the new MIB will be Sawyer. Since Sawyer blames Jack for Juliettes death he is very angry at Jack and they become Rivals just like MIB and Jacob are.

the last scene will be the same as the opening scene of th incident, sept Instead of Jacob and other guy, It will be Jack as Jacob and sawyer as man in black, And the camera will turn to the four toed staue (broken), before the credits come up

What if the final scene deals with the island sinking? When it sinks, the camera pans out from the sinking island and back up to a plane flying across the sea, it is Oceanic Flight 815 from the episode titled LA X. Notice how when Ajira crashed, the time changed, when the Losties came back from '77, they warped back. What if they didn't exactly time travel, but they traveled through universes? Now there are some plot holes to this theory, but it was just a random thought.

I think this makes sense because as we've seen in recent episodes, Sawyer is startying to ally with Flocke in their quest to get off of the island. Jack is also finally realizing how important he is, and realizing maybe that his destiny is to do something important for the island. I think Jack will become the candidate to replace Jacob, and perhaps Sawyer will become the candidate to replace Flocke.
It also makes sense because we've seen the rivalry between Jack and sawyer for the whole show

My theory, which I posted on your Facebook wall, is that the last scene will be jack sitting on the beach, when sawyer comes to sit beside him and says, "You know how bad I wanna kill you doc? One of these days I'm gonna find a loophole" and then Jack says, Well, when you do Sawyer, I'll be right here"

it will obviously go back in time to the very start and show jacob/smokies past
and then it will come to a point where smokie will succeed in what he wants to do but at the same time the sideways will surprise us in some way too

I think the last scene will be the fist scene of the serie. It's gonna be some sort of loop. And the scene just before that will be Jacob succeeding in making the man in black fail his plan against Jacob. It's going to start everything over. Because the man in black said he'd find a loophole to get Jacob. But Jacob has a plan for sure.

@krotchy6667 I agree with what you're saying. I think the last scene will be a predecessor to the first scene of the series. More specifically, I think that it will end in some sort of an epic knife dual between Jack and Locke because you will notice in the opening scenes of the first episode that both of them have cuts on their face and body.
Also, Jack mentions in Jimmy Kimmel Live that the ending scene will be "the most epic of ways" to end a series; thus a knife duel could be a possibility.

SHOOT WAIT, come to think of it, i bet the final scene WILL BE the same as the very first scene! because is it just me, or have we not gotten an answer to why jack wasnt on the beach with the other losties and was isolated in the jungle instead when they crashed..

Why do people still keep thinking that 'Sundown' is a Sun centric episode when Sean has already stated that its a Sayid episode. Anyways, I think the last scene could be, Jack as the new Jacob, and as he's walking through the jungle he hears an aeroplane, and then hears a body hit the floor very loudly, he runs to see who it is, and its........himself! Time has been reset to 2004 and Oceanic 815 crashes on the Island.

I think the person coming back to the island is Walt. Since Walt could be short for Wallace in my mind. Plus I can't believe that he will not be in the finake season. He seemed to play an important role.

dude your vids are awesome glad to have you back! the last scene will be vincent sitting on the beach looking out at the ocean. after a few seconds he will get up and walk towards the fully erect statue as the camera pans out and towards the sky, while flight 815 is shown breaking apart over the island.

Hey Sean, just thinking, what if Gabriella from season 2 is Jacks babymama? Didnt she kiss Jack at some point? She has that dark hair and I think blue eyes. Juliet? Also blue eyes. Just a thought. And the final scene of Lost will be epic! Would love to learn more about Richard. And It would be nice to see some people from the second half of the plane. Eko or Anna Lucia.

it could end with jack and Flocke having a conversation about Jacob, and the candidacy. Flocke will give jack the three options he gave Sawyer. Jack will choose to stay and kill Flocke. He will become a spiritual part of the island in the same way Jacob is. just one of infinate numbers of ideas :P

they were sopposed to tell us but the writers strike made them cut the episodes. the black dude Claire killed looked like Henery gale. for all we know the others could have just put some random Dharma bodies in the grave site. but I think the writers are going to leave that one alone for now.

I think the last scene will be everyone boarding the plane in Sydney. Jack and Kate will pass each other and look at each other sort of like they recognize one another. And then it will end with all of them LOST to the fact that it keeps happening in a loop.

i think the cave sawyer and floke went to was Smokey home, the lighthouse is Jacobs, they both have the names written for opposite reasons, Jacob to find a Saviour , Smokey to stop them hence him crossing them off...the last scene..well its just gonna be a let down im sure so there can be spin off at the end re prison break etc!!it does seem the island must have good/bad balance so looks as tho sawyer lining up as the bed with jack good, but what with the rest..who knows?
