This song was part of a cassette tape that used to sing me and my brothers to sleep in the afternoons when we were young. i rediscovered the tape a few months ago, and today, im singing a slightly tweaked version of it everyday for my future husband as well. I first heard this song in 1993 and I prayed for the Lord to give me the man that he wanted me with and I held on to Jesus all those years and I was faithful and I prayed and He answered my prayer. The man I married isn't only everything I wanted in a husband but he is also one of Americas heros and he was always there, I just never paid attention until one day the Lord pointed him out. Praise God for Our Military!

I use to sing this song as I prayed for my wife, whom I prayed God would send some day-after many tears and waiting He sent the perfect wife. We met in bible college- been happily married for 9years. I recently ran into the track at the Christian bookstore, so I bought it. I couldn't stop crying. It was such a reminder that God hears us when we call on Him, and the best is always yet to come with God. I'm going to sing it to my wife at church and tie in a sermon about waiting for the right one.

Marriage is a demanding commitment, and God uses our time of singleness to get us ready for it - to mature us, to grow our relationship w/ Him. We should use the time we have before marriage to learn about relationships and sacrificial love. As women, I think we should also learn to run a household well.

Great job! Your beautiful voice was a bit overshadowed by your beautiful piano playing, but great, nonetheless. This is one of my favorite WW songs (who COULD pick an absolute favorite???)... and was included in my daughter's pre-wedding DVD of her life. Wayne had sons, I had a daughter... we moms of girls pray the same for our daughters. And on Aug 6, 2005, a Christian union was formed. I now have a wonderful Christian son. Thank you Lord!!
