@lena0019 On mine it did, (after having the phone for 2 months), then I did a system restore or reboot to take it back to factory settings. I lost all my contacts, but it was running as good as new. Since then, I installed Windows Mobile 6.5 Standard on it and I have not had any freezing up problems since then.

@lena0019 Windows Mobile 6.5 is very nice, the problem is the Samsung Code lacks wi-fi capability. Today, almost every spot you go to (at least where I live in the San Fran Bay Area) has a wi-fi. To not have that on a smart phone is a disgrace. I would definitely get the Blackberry 8530 solely for that reason. I can't stand slow 2G speeds that don't render youtube video properly. If I were you, I would wait on a good smartphone that is coming out on the 4G LTE Network.

@tdsheadcoach Sure you can but unless if you're in Detroit, Dallas/Fort Worth and Las Vegas, you will get slow 2G speeds that have problems rendering the video.

the phone is just ok , but the service sucks ! There are not alot of apps . Most apps i could not get to work . Older Windows mobile os . You can't really watch you tube very choppy . The media player sucks very sluggish with my 8gb micro sd . My phone would go drop calls all the time . i would miss calls . i could not take it any more so i switched to a Blackberry on Sprint . 100 % better than metro

I have the same problem in NYC on 1x. I tried the YouTube app instead of the Skyfire browser but its even worse I found. This is a network problem I put up with. let us know if you discover anything better.

Make sure to tell them its the $50 smartphone plan -- not the regular $50 plan. Their site states "Smartphones require the $50 Smartphone plan."

There is only one rate plan on the Code that I know of which is the MetroPCS smartphone rate plan of $50. If you change this you'll either lose functionality or get charged for all sorts of stuff. I would avoid changing it.

That is a good question since there is no well known iTunes type of application for these Windows phones. I suppose you could use Zune and you would expect it to integrate well with this Microsoft phone. The reality is you bring your own music and movies to this platform and copy them over to the phone in File Manager directly onto the SD card or use Windows Media Player or the Active Sync mechanism or the web-based MyPhone.

I do Media Messages from my theme's menu, then Menu > New, Select To, Subject, type message, then click Picture/Video button, select the pic, and hit Send. Works fine for me. Even lets me put in more than one pic/video. Check your MMS Options (under Menu > Options) Sending Options / Size. Maybe its set too low. Mine is 495 KB.

Windows Mobile Apps. Like all the "apps" you see in this video and others like Skype, Pandora, Facebook, etc. You can either download in the Microsoft App store called marketplace or just from websites from off the phone's browser like a desktop. Or you can even download from your real desktop and then sync it but I never do that.

That is weird. I bought it at bestbuy for 250 and activated at home which took 5 minutes and everything was working fine. You need to $50 plan on this to get unlimited, voice, text, and web.
