There's a big difference between "Narco corridos" and simple Banda music. Indeed "Narco corridos" glorify the drug dealing culture but what those men were singing is a "corrido" . The main difference is that Corridos are stories told in verses and accompanied by music, usually about life in country and not that shit about big cars, AK-47's and drug dealing.
