yea, the guys who organize the shows here got super lucky i guess, we've gotten some crazy bands here before like Kataklysm, Goatwhore adn Thine Eyes Bleed, so there doing a crazy good job with all the shows, we're also getting Rotting Christ, Soilwork and Exodus here within the next few months

DeadGoldBass: at one time there was two bands named Divinity in Canada. One in Alberta and one in Quebec. you are thinking of the one Quebec. I also believe that the Quebec band has since broken up or changed name.

lol, This is the exact show I was at. i'm the really fucking tall long haired motherfucker fucking shit up in the pit =) It found it weird how they made Divinity open for everyone else, even Whitechapel and Veil of Maya. I could see why though, after hearing each set. Divinity was just the start of an amazing night. Summer slaughter ftw.

No. Pantera is a good example of groove metal. That actually is a pretty educated guess on your part though. Groove metal is metal that has great thrash riffs that are right on the rhythms that give an excellent groove. Check Pantera's Walk. This is a sick song though. I totally love it.

Down has Phil Anselmo from Pantera. From the one song I heard from them I could definitly say they are groove. Anyways I wouldn't focus on the subgerne too much. As long as you like the artist. The only thing sub-gernes are good for really is finding something you specifically want. As long as you like it, the subgerne doesn't matter.
