I recently found that Yami Yugi's original Japanese voice actor is a complete asshole. In case any of you were wondering, he's literally the only reason subbed episodes aren't put up any more. Because he retired, he thinks that doing this is copyright infringement, and all because of him, we have to scrape all through Google to find episode in Japanese with subs.

The english dub is crap, Jonouchi sounds like an idiot in english, Yugi's voice switches from a kid to an adult while the jap uses the same one, Mai was....alright until they made her sound stupid during that orichalcos bullshit. Honda sounded high pitched during the first few episodes until he improved in the dub. Shizuka was alright in jap but decent in dub. If you ask me...most of the voices suck in English.

@HackedGlitch265 Well, Yu-Gi-Oh might have a deep connection to Egypt, but still the main idea(or something) behind the whole series is about dueling and strive to become stronger. Almost every characters in this series have a darkside to themselves that they need to overcome. The series also spend the longest if not all the time dueling around cities and present day landmarks. If yu-gi-oh was more about excavating Egypt then yeah the egypt theme would fit more

Season 0 had very little to do with dueling. Then it became totally duel based, and Series one ended in Egypt, with many characters having some connection to ancient Egypt.

Also, the who "dark side" thing applied only to millennium item users, jaden and Truesdale and slightly to Kaiba.

Obviously this applies to the first series. 5'd had nothing to do with egypt, and GX had very little either.

Crawford created Duel Monsters, as Duel Monsters went on...there were people that were connected to the Pharaoh's past and the millennium items. Before Duel Monsters was created, the people of Egypt summoned monsters from stone tablets.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Had the egyptian theme. Moreso in season 1 than the others in regards to the Aired show in America. Season 0 was literally all about Egyptian items and powers.

I've watched complete anime's in subs and some in dubs I'll watch either. 4Kids don't do a bad job. It's just Weeaboos like you who think they do.
