Isn't the title supposed to be "Kingdoms - Jerusalem Fiction Feature"? I've never heard about "Jeruselam", and I don't suppose that Faction Skis (that's what comes up when you google up the word "Faction") has anything to do with crusades. It does help to double-check the spelling before posting anything on public websites. There is plenty of free dictionaries online, and every computer has a spell check. Check out my video "Templars - The Last Crusade" with my original metal soundtrack
The Kingdom of Jerusalem was a Catholic kingdom established in the Levant in 1099 after the First Crusade. It lasted nearly two hundred years, from 1099 until 1291 when the last remaining possession, Acre, was destroyed by the Mamluks.
At first the kingdom was little more than a loose collection of towns and cities captured during the crusade. Later kings expanded its size so that at its height in the mid-12th century, the kingdom roughly encompassed the territory of modern-day Israel, Lebanon, and the modern day West Bank, formerly the heart of ancient Israel (Judea and Samaria).
It extended from Lebanon in the north to the Sinai Desert in the south, and into modern Jordan and Syria in the east. There were attempts to expand the kingdom into Fatimid Egypt. Its kings held a certain amount of authority over the other crusader states: Tripoli, Antioch, and Edessa.
Many customs and institutions were imported from the crusaders' original homelands in Western Europe, and there were close familial and political connections with the West throughout the kingdom's existence. As a relatively minor kingdom it often lacked financial and military support from Europe.
The kingdom had closer ties to the neighbouring Kingdom of Armenia and the Byzantine Empire, from which it inherited oriental qualities, as well as being influenced by pre-existing Eastern institutions. Socially, the Frankish inhabitants were dominant and the Muslims and Eastern Orthodox Christians were a marginalized lower class.
At first the Muslim world held little concern for the fledgling kingdom, but as the 12th century progressed, the kingdom's Muslim neighbours were united by Nur ad-Din Zangi and Saladin, who vigorously began to recapture lost territory. Jerusalem itself was lost to Saladin in 1187, and by the 13th century the Kingdom was reduced to a few cities along the Mediterranean coast.
In this period, the kingdom, sometimes referred to as the "Kingdom of Acre", was ruled by the Lusignan dynasty of the crusader Kingdom of Cyprus, and ties were strengthened with Tripoli, Antioch, and Armenia. The kingdom was soon increasingly dominated by the Italian city-states of Venice and Genoa, as well as the imperial ambitions of the Holy Roman Emperors.
The kingdom became little more than a pawn in the politics and warfare of the Ayyubid and Mamluk dynasties in Egypt, as well as the Khwarezmian and Mongol invaders. The Mamluk sultans Baibars and al-Ashraf Khalil eventually reconquered all the remaining crusader strongholds, culminating in the destruction of Acre in 1291.
@xxMrFablexx Actually, they did. Ibn Jubayr spoke of it:
"We left Tibnin by a road running past farms where Muslims live who do very well under the Franks-may Allah preserve us from such a temptation! The regulations imposed on them are the handing over of half of the grain crop at the time of harvest and the payment of a poll tax of one dinar and seven qirats, together with a light duty on their fruit trees. The Muslims own their own houses and rule themselves in their own way."
@xxMrFablexx And what proof do you have? I have public databases which point to how even later on, Muslims would side with the Crusaders against other Muslims.
@MultiVietMinh Byzantine is actually roman.. constantine moved the capitel of rome to byzantium they rome fell and justinian his son i think created the byzantine empire
@Lightnazor arguing would mean you had a possible side. they themselves called themselves Roman, . So did the Seljuk turks who took the name sultanate of Rum. Byzantine showed up later. Now, before you speak about history again, LEARN FUCKING HISTORY FIRST.
@Lightnazor The Byzantines, themselves, never called themselves Byzantines. Their neighbors, such as the Holy Roman Empire, the Bulgarian Empire, the Kievian Rus, and the Caliphs refered to the Byzantines as the Romans (Kingdom of the Romans) or Greek (Kingdom of the Greeks).
In May 1453, during the "funeral oration" of the Empire in the St. Hagia Sophia; Constantine XI remarked that "Animals may run from animals, but you are men, and worthy heirs of the great heroes of Greece and Rome"
you know there is actually some blood in this game, when some units fight for example you can sometimes see blood splash out of them and their bodies turn a reddish colour when they die (like in this trailer)
Idk why they named this faction knights of Jerusalem or w/e cuz jersualem gets besieged by egypt within the first 10 turns and they take it, and its hell trying to reclaim it so.... Knights of.........what city?
@fazugue Medieval 2 is the best and my favorite!! empire and Napoleon is way easier and does not require much skill to win!! they are both good games but medieval 2 is the best and more difficult than the napoleon!
@Beakle am i the only one who can't use gunpowder units right cuzi suck using them im exellent wiht mele rome and medieval were extremlly easy and i loved that
i think kingdoms is really good because you know who you are fighting, such as when your doing crusades you know your either fighting the christians or the muslims.
@elvenmage271 what the hell are you talking about? i have the game for vista and it runs fine, all you need is a good CPU, graphics card, and ram amount. I doubt operating has any affect on the games proformance

I use it no worries about virus
I think if to this date I would have to evaluate which games were the most groundbreaking and pleasureable to play during their current periods, Rome would always come first. @ColdRicki Play the Vanilla campaign a few times, then get mods like Broken Crescent, Stainless Steel and Third Age. They're way better than the original game.
@Agent1W The Kingdom had it's own king, and had some control of the principality of antioch, and the counties of allepo and Eddessa. This conglomoration was known as Outremer, and was a wonderful place to live for those of all faiths... except Jews, but it was superiour to most places for them anyways.
@Agent1W More or less, mostly due to the English, French, and Germans not caring for Jews, but this was not regulated by any authority, i.e. the King or Pope. Jews and Muslims only pay a small tax at first, but some Muslims need not pay at all. Muslims and Christians exchanged ideas of medicine, style (Crusaders wearing Saracen robes, and their wives the hijab), and Religion. Muslims actually left Saracen lands to live in Outremer due to the freedoms granted by it's constitution.
Try being Britain. you're owned by France in less than 2 seconds. And France is like, weak. Somehow, our armies (even double the size of France's in my game) STILL lose.
do you guys think that the alien ware aurora could handle Rome and medieval with no problem???im looking into to getting a alienware and im just wondering???
@Jornberentsen Nope... I'll probably get it for free from torrent sites... But I'm not really interested in it... I'm more interested in ancient roman times... Havent played empire or napaleon, only rome and medieval 2
rome total war could have a graphics patch... I mean to have the graphiccs of empire total war or medieval 2 total war... just get better graphics and rome total war will kick the ass of every game :P
rome 2 with advanced tactics and fight animations and graphics at todays standard and of course technology and research feature.. all aspects of medieval2 and empire with non-screwed up multiplayer.. gief..
@scholtestom The Viking invasion took place before the start of the original campaign, though the reformed Danes are present in the Brittania Campaign.
empire total war isnt basically complete yet.. they just rushed it into a point that it was more or less playable and now they're just updating it with patches and goddamn downloadable content.. though they're not improving and fixing what they should they add new crap.. i wouldn't ask for anything else than muchmuch better AI and also they should make cities look like cities... not just random houses laying on a patch of grass...srsly...
ey bro! Check out the stainless steel mod for kingdoms expansion! It's really really good and ads so much to the game, fixes ai on several levels too :)
my video card isnt that great for empire. I can only go up to moderate, and it runs mad slow in moderate. Always looks like they are hovering from a distance.
@dikkenerd100 agreed! and rome total war was awesome too. ive played RTW, RTW BI, MTW2 and MTW2 kingdoms-and i wont play empire total war. because new ages sucks dick and even naval battles wont interest me in that crap
@dikkenerd100 empire total war is nothing without darthmod ultimate commander (version 6.2 i think, latest anyways).
get that, it adds like 20 new units to all factions an unlocks most of them in campaign (and adds a text to it and not that "not playable").it also changes the numbers of troops and morale to reanact like it was in the old times, its a very professional mod, i promise, you wont go bored
p.s it adds all factions on custom battle, it rocks!!!
@johan565656 Well I posted that a long time ago, Im still a huge Fan of Total war, and i play a lot of Napoleon total war + Empire total war right now, its pretty fun, but Napoleon total war is like an upgraded version of Empire.
And thnx for tip I gonna check out darthmod for sure!
I really agree to this. I feel Empires Total War is somewhat poor decision making by SEGA. Not because it necessarily was a bad idea, but because of the time period attracts smaller audience and is much harder to simulate properly with current technology. I almost feel like this is all set up for Rome Total War 2. I really can't imagine anything more awesome. They really have to learn to deploy more ancient units and all their respective elements. There was so much more than just legionaries.
yeah exactly Rome 2: Total War would be awesome, and maybe Medieval 3: Total War, hehe. but now their working on Napoleon: Total War as an new part in the total war series, which is just ridicilous..
Preferably Rome 2: Total War. Medieval needs a break for a while. I don't see any point in Napoleon: Total War, because the gameplay will be EXACTLY the same as that of Empire, same units, same battle fields (probably), same style of campaign. Shogun 2, they should do one of those after making Rome 2 (just because I have a soft spot for Ancient warfare)
You re so right! Empire is the worst, is not even good in my opinion...
But shogun...naa Shogun wasnt so good in my opinion, rome was awesome, i still play the mod Europa Barbarum, because its just cool, the grahpic arent really important for me.
omg! it's the templars from assassin's creed :o

mexboyproductions 2 years ago 3
@mexboyproductions its true but in mediaval2 total war or empire total war fights are a litle bit faster

rome 2 with advanced tactics and fight animations and graphics at todays standard and of course technology and research feature.. all aspects of medieval2 and empire with non-screwed up multiplayer.. gief..
doippa123 1 year ago
I really enjoyed Empire total war, but all of them have a unique flavor, and honestly i do not have a favorite.
Rome and Shogun could go for a remake though.
MrJohn2010 2 years ago
lol i want them to remake the expansion for medieval total war (viking invasion).
idontwantcows 2 years ago
@idontwantcows viking invasion is in medieval 2 kingdoms one of the 4 campaigns also named as Britannia..
scholtestom 1 year ago
@scholtestom The Viking invasion took place before the start of the original campaign, though the reformed Danes are present in the Brittania Campaign.
MrJohn2010 1 year ago
This is my opinion
Rome (GREAT)
Medievial2+ Kingdoms (AWSOME)
Empire Total War (ok)
Future Napolen Total War (Best)

empire total war = garbage.Care to recommend a mod to fix the ai?
PasswordPower 2 years ago
empire total war isnt basically complete yet.. they just rushed it into a point that it was more or less playable and now they're just updating it with patches and goddamn downloadable content.. though they're not improving and fixing what they should they add new crap.. i wouldn't ask for anything else than muchmuch better AI and also they should make cities look like cities... not just random houses laying on a patch of grass...srsly...
doippa123 1 year ago
ey bro! Check out the stainless steel mod for kingdoms expansion! It's really really good and ads so much to the game, fixes ai on several levels too :)

Medieval 2 is insane, but Rome is still beast, one of the best games ever.

zowi1 2 years ago 8
I thought Empire was really good! I really enjoyed it. I think Rome and Medieval are better than it, but Empire is still excellent.
B8rkley 2 years ago 5
these are crusaders right?
shinbooks 2 years ago 5
i got the following >
Rome total war ( good )
medieval 2 total war ( awsome! )
medieval 2 total war kingdoms ( awsome! )
empire total war ( not that good )
in empire total war campgain sucks, units sucks ( they are all the same ).
i suggest you play medieval 2 total war because a lot of different units and campgain is really good!
dikkenerd100 2 years ago 54
my video card isnt that great for empire. I can only go up to moderate, and it runs mad slow in moderate. Always looks like they are hovering from a distance.
MDXbleach93 2 years ago
there is no honor in empire at war, thats gunfire war -.- i totaly agree . they need to make medieval 3!
Schmitti1982 2 years ago 2
@dikkenerd100 I thing your rating on rome is to low but i agree with the rest!!!
TERRORISTINDAWALL 2 years ago
@dikkenerd100 agreed! and rome total war was awesome too. ive played RTW, RTW BI, MTW2 and MTW2 kingdoms-and i wont play empire total war. because new ages sucks dick and even naval battles wont interest me in that crap

@dikkenerd100 empire total war is nothing without darthmod ultimate commander (version 6.2 i think, latest anyways).
get that, it adds like 20 new units to all factions an unlocks most of them in campaign (and adds a text to it and not that "not playable").it also changes the numbers of troops and morale to reanact like it was in the old times, its a very professional mod, i promise, you wont go bored
p.s it adds all factions on custom battle, it rocks!!!
johan565656 1 year ago
@johan565656 Well I posted that a long time ago, Im still a huge Fan of Total war, and i play a lot of Napoleon total war + Empire total war right now, its pretty fun, but Napoleon total war is like an upgraded version of Empire.
And thnx for tip I gonna check out darthmod for sure!
dikkenerd100 1 year ago
I dont play empire cuz you can stand like 10 m away from the enemy and shoot them..Not much melee
YellowSmileyIsAngry 2 years ago
Empires is horrible. All the units are the same. Just recruit lotsa line infantry with bayonets. Game over.
FlamingLion116 2 years ago 4
I really agree to this. I feel Empires Total War is somewhat poor decision making by SEGA. Not because it necessarily was a bad idea, but because of the time period attracts smaller audience and is much harder to simulate properly with current technology. I almost feel like this is all set up for Rome Total War 2. I really can't imagine anything more awesome. They really have to learn to deploy more ancient units and all their respective elements. There was so much more than just legionaries.
Kulmataklaus 2 years ago
they shud make one about HAN china, or shogun 2 :D
FXThug 2 years ago 2
yeah exactly Rome 2: Total War would be awesome, and maybe Medieval 3: Total War, hehe. but now their working on Napoleon: Total War as an new part in the total war series, which is just ridicilous..
gaastra12 2 years ago
Preferably Rome 2: Total War. Medieval needs a break for a while. I don't see any point in Napoleon: Total War, because the gameplay will be EXACTLY the same as that of Empire, same units, same battle fields (probably), same style of campaign. Shogun 2, they should do one of those after making Rome 2 (just because I have a soft spot for Ancient warfare)
deil321 2 years ago
They need to make a rome total war 2
rossandzach 2 years ago 96
i know! that'd be sick
KCN1418 2 years ago
man , i think of that everytime i see the Rome Total War icon on my desktop lol

*sigh*
lKaeso 2 years ago 2
I actually heard they were going to. Along with another medieval. Im not 100% sure, but i read it on a gaming website.
Ava44fan 2 years ago
Absolutely ! Then a Shogun 2 !
I've played all the series, but Empires is by far the worst :(
And i was expecting so much.
Is not bad in terms of graphics, but of game play.
Rome and Medieval 2 were my favorites, equal to shogun but the graphics at shogun looks now so ugly :)
Kudos for the music on the Shogun and the atmosphere - which is quite banal on the Empire
ionutzstoica 2 years ago
You re so right! Empire is the worst, is not even good in my opinion...
But shogun...naa Shogun wasnt so good in my opinion, rome was awesome, i still play the mod Europa Barbarum, because its just cool, the grahpic arent really important for me.
Ixtzalit 2 years ago
no they need to make shogun total war 2

@rossandzach a rome 2 with Empire total war graphics and revamped features would be awesome.

@watevatube I hope they put in naval battles in rome 2. it would be sweet watching triremes slam into each other.
