  • is that a page les paul? of a copy?

  • @Duncasify It's a Gibson '58 Reissue Les Paul.

  • O O O O'Reilly

  • I have the 6L6 Shiva, and just picked up a Fender Custom Shop Classic Tele S-1, and the two simply sound amazing together. My first gig with it Friday had gear heads shaking their heads at the tone. One guy even took pictures..LOL

  • Man that is a thick tone for Fender Noiseless pickups!

  • that thing has serious balls. me likey... any chance you could do a clean demo with that tele as well? it would be quite swell, i'm sure.

  • @aubreywithoutYou I would, but I haven't owned the Shiva in quite some time.

  • @SgtThump what amp you have now?

  • 3 guitars worth a few grand a piece. Bogner=a couple grand. And then theres a can of natty staring you down right in the face ahahahaha

  • Bogner make kick ass amps man

  • what kind of tubes are you running. i use jj's

  • Awesome tone, is that an American Deluxe Tele? what year? I'm looking to make my own tele pretty soon.

  • @manofmanyhairs2 Thanks! Nope, it's just a standard American Series Tele, but with upgraded Fender Noiseless pickups.

  • how about the natty light!

  • That is a VERY important part of my sound.

  • Is that the closed or open back cab?

  • My Bogner cab is their oversized closed-back model.

  • hey Thump:

Have u played the one with reverb?

if so, which one do you like more (i know this one doesn't have reverb, but...) yet i would like to know your opinion and why.

  • Nah, I sure haven't. Sometimes reverb in an amp's circuit can tame the highs a bit (example - Single Recto Solo vs. Rectoverb), but I'm not sure how it sounds in the Shiva.

  • What's the Natty Light mod?

  • Dude all I have to say is you have great taste :)

  • This is definitely the TONE. Amazing! And nice playing too! How much you paid for the Shiva, if i can ask?

  • Thanks! They can be had on the used market nowadays for anywhere from $1,200 - 1,600. Prices have dropped.

  • wwowow in italy them costs like 3800 euro USED

  • Which noiseless are they vintage noiseless or samarium cobalt noiseless? Thanks.

  • I believe they are the older "Noiseless" pickups.

  • Nice tone! Funny, My PRS looks exactly like yours.

  • I see you got the Natty Light mod on the Bogner. Dave wouldn't be having none of that beer on amp business!

  • Ha ha! I was wondering if anyone would comment on that!

  • What is the Natty Light mod? Link? Thanks!

  • He's joking about how I'm drinking cheap Natural Light beer in alot of my videos. :)

  • @chameleon101663 To funny man, that has to be the best thing i've read in awhile.

  • your tele is shiny ahha, nice playing!

  • Nice job Chris, sounds great. I see what you mean about that Tele -- I want that tone outta my Tele -- stock American series?

  • Hey, thanks! Yes, it's regular American Series Tele, but with the Noiseless pickups added by the previuos owner.

I've tried to like Teles for a while, but they're always too twangy. I tried this one out used in GC once and couldn't believe it. Went to dinner and couldn't stop thinking about it, so I went back and got it. :)

It's just super thick. It doesn't sound like a Les Paul, but it IS just as thick sounding. Kinda dark, but great for rock stuff.

  • The newer American Deluxe Series has the Noiseless and S-1 switching system. Seriously love the tones you get from you Shiva. Might think about picking one up. BTW, this is Cibyl (Bill) from Rig-Talk and HCAF.
