Thanks for the review. I did not know that the highest voltage on this new battery is practically the same as with my old Ego battery. This makes me think twice if the lcd screen alone is worth the money....
Very enlightening review. I was thinking of purchasing this product to give me a range of flavors through the variable voltages. After seeing your voltage tests I decided to pass. If it registered a little closer to (4.2) under load I would have considered it. Thank you for helping me save (30) bucks. Now I am off to check out the eGo Booster.
Great test rig, thank you for taking the time to make your video it was very interesting.
I'd love it if you could do a comparison between the VV battery under load at full charge vs almost flat compared to a genuine Joye battery at fully charged vs almost flat. For consistent vaping all day I think you're better with a Joye battery (1000mah at half the price) at 3.4v and matching your attie to that voltage. But your test rig would show us for sure.
@rickholmes68 Thanks very much. Unfortunately I don't have any eGo type batteries that run at 3.4 any more. All my eGo batts are from Smoktech and they run at 3.7. Still just as good a vape as the VV batt at it's highest setting as shown by the video.
The point if this escapes me In afraid. A variable voltage battery that doesn't perform much better than a standard ego battery? Why? I get the impression that people are starting to run out of gimmicks to put on their PV's.
very nice review as always Phil. If I wasn't saving every penny for a Provari, I might have gotten one. But since I have a mod collection, I will leave this to the diehard eGo fans and just use a dual coil on my eGos when I am out.
although the little power indicator is cool....if you like the 4.2 better you can get a 4.2v ECHO Manual Battery for 510/eGo for $12.99 at healthcabin...very cool review....i like the test box lol
Phil one thing that you dont think about in this review is that everyone doesn't just use a 2.0 Boge carto like you do and a 1.5ohm Atty will actually work quite well on these lower settings using A VV with PWM and give a pretty darn good vape as will a1.25-1.5ohm DC Carto. I do however think though if they come out with a 1000-1300 mAh VV Batt that went from 3.4-4.2 it would give us an even better VV Ego type batt. All in all very informative and great review as usuall

Thanks. I made the boxes (the digital meter, and the Test box for the multimeter) myself. The multimeter, obviously, is purchased. Thanks!

Nice toys Phil! Custom builds or did you make those meters yourself?

@evelwmn the echo battery is defective, read the description, it wont fire LR attys and bunch of otehrs.
The echo is just a tube mod with regular 3.7V battery inside and it starts teh charge at 4.2V.
