@maroon5lovers15 It's OK to cover a Beatles song, but Adam should have picked a lesser known song, rather than one of John Lennon's very best ballads and one that was featured in "A Hard Day's Night's". There are so many Beatle songs to choose from, and you can pick one that suits your talents. Adam makes this song sound sad and dreary, where the original was uptempo and somewhat bright. He apparently doesn't care how bad a job he might do and ignores the wisdom of his choice of Beatles songs.
thats why its a rendition or a cover, its the song looked in a different perspective. i personally like the mellow dramatic "sad and dreary" better than the original. watch across the universe, they do that to almost every one of the beatles songs, i find it refreshing.

@GeorgeLennon77 I know. It's crazy how many songs The Beatles have. I don't think I'll ever hear them all. And that is commendable that they were only together 10 years and did all that, but the Stones have been going strong for 50 years straight and they can do a killer live performance. It's all a matter of preference though. But to many, the Stones are equal to the Beatles. Just saying. No other band is though.

This is one of my favorite early Beatles covers. And I'm a REALLY big fan of The Beatles! Adam Levine has a unique and masterful singing voice, enough to nearly do the song justice. I would love to see him perform with Paul McCartney, if he hasn't already!
@Manonvc It's not out of key he just added some 7th and 2nd chords that weren't in the original and made some of the existing chords minor. Not out of key just different theres a difference.

@Stewerrvideos The reasons he sucks? For one thing, listen to the original of this song and compare. He's probably pretty talented (?) but he sure doesn't prove it with this "cover." Why didn't he use the rest of the band?
WTF was he thinking? "Pretty cool to sing a Beatle song; doesn't matter if I fuck it up"(?) Or, "I'm a big star, so I can go fucking up someone else's song."(?)
I'm sure all the hardcore Maroon 5 fans think this guy (his name?) is great, but he's mediocre; got lucky.

@57highland Im no fan of maroon five, but i am a big of beatles and got the "a hard days write" and other stuff with beatles, but thats not really the case.
I just got pissed because, opinion is a thing to be shared, both good and bad, but when you just say "he sucks"... If i were to be an artist, i would atleast like a reason. You cant work on "not sucking". so its not about liking him or not, its being fair, and beating the idiots who says "it sux..." because, theres allways more to say.

@57highland U don't follow Adam Levine or Maroon 5 much or U'd know that, for 1 thing, he definitely IS quite talented -- has more vocal range than a lot of male artists, a sweet sound, is really sexy on songs that want that quality. For another thing, he's quite humble, SAYS he's not that great a singer or compares himself unfavorably to other singers. So many popular ones can't sing at ALL. This is an HOMAGE to the Beatles. Listen to his "The Way You Look Tonight" -- his homage to Sinatra

Read what he says about this. I think Cowell would MUCH rather have sex with A's longtime girlfriend, Anne, who's in his wryly sexy video "Never Gonna Leave This Bed." Heard him on Gym Class Heroes' Stereo Hearts? I'm a huge Beatles fan. What male singers DO you like? A has own style, distinctive sound.

@beedeeanna2 OK, I'm sorry, I apologize. I'm a huge Beatles fan too, I think that's the problem. Not problem, it's just that he could have done so much better with this song, rather than trying to "stylize" it to his own preference. Compared to the original, it's so bad, so terrible, so atrociously terrible. The original is uptempo and bright and has the famous John/Paul harmony. This "version" is so ... so .... so ..... God, I can't describe it.

@57highland I was planning all week to send you YouTube videos of all "If I Fell" covers, which I had lined up on my Internet Explorer list, but I just lost it. I then copied the list from If I Fell Wikipedia into a Word doc and was going to send THAT to you but I don't know how. I was trying to save you the time of getting each video yourself. They span a broad gamut of artists. Check out "Cover Versions" on Wikipedia's If I Fell if you have time. I think you'll get a kick out of it.

@57highland I'm sorry but I am only 18 years old and have made multiple speeches in front of over 300 people...and I have inspired people instead of putting thier opinions down. :) Oh by the way I have used my speaking skills to take be to International science fairs...just something "the future of America" has done.

This is one of my favorite early Beatles covers. And I'm a REALLY big fan of The Beatles! Adam Levine has a unique and masterful singing voice, enough to nearly do the song justice. I would love to see him perform with Paul McCartney, if he hasn't already!
