Yes it will. Because Chances are, by the time you do flip, it will be anytime before Foehammer.

What's this about after that mid-point though? I've never gotten a checkpoint there...is there something I'm just not understanding?

I finally got these achievements. also I found for the big jump near the end that simply not touching the left stick works best - when I angled it like in the video I would tend to nosedive and then flip over - since my warthog tended to land flat on it's wheels if I just did nothing.

Thanks for the nice tutorial. Got it with about 8 seconds left, and also both achievements in one run... What you did not mention, afaik: There was a CHECKPOINT in about the middle of the map. Strange, because I did not know that there was one.

Maybe people should be aware of that.

On the massive jump cortana warns you about, simply go full throttle and once you are in the air let go of the accelerator until you land. Works every time for me.

I scored the "Don't Tell Me The Odds" achievement [without the shortcuts as I was not aware of them until now] but not the "This Side Up" achievement - despite not flipping.

I have since completed it AGAIN [on Normal] but it STILL didn't give me the achievement.
