turbofuus if Russians dont need brdges why have they devloped AVLB, floating bridges, pntoons etc, mmm could it be that heavy tanks do noto float, if BTR or PT76 both very long in toth and one is not used were to try it in europe thye would be sunk.
GAY!!! By that time the bridge is filled with holes and artillery fire as well as the chassis carrying it. Wouldn't it be better to bring a Tank that could move through water and swamps, ect?? Like the T-72, Leopard 2 and T-90,ect... Abrams can't... It would be better if they modify the abrams to go through water.
@TurboFuss1 Russians don't need bridges. They are amphibious. They can travel miles and miles of river and ocean.... If you know about the NVA victory in the Battle of Lang Vei you should know the advantage of amphibious vehicles. The PT-76 and BTRs totally defeated the American established in there including Green Berets.
13 weeks training during the summer of 1997 at Bovington. All 5 of us were still drunk every morning, we put the most soba man in to drive first. The nights in Wheymouth and Poole were brilliant. All 5 of us had a single bunk, we would have to get rid of the girls in the morning. We always broke down, we had a fire and we filled up with water by moving too fast in the water. Driving the AVRE in the closed down position at night was a good laugh. Only the engineers could put me on tanks at 6'7".
The hydraulics and rams for the Bridgelayer were designed by APPH Ltd in the UK(I work for these people now). The tank itself was the base design of the Chieftain MBT designed in the UK and was deployed in the early 70's to the Engineer Armoured Squadrons during the 1970's. I don't really know where the US involvement was in the design of this vehicle. I went through Driver to Vehicle Mechanic Instructor...

he wasn't harnessing it for househeld use though! weird guns and machines that tried to teleport you more like it. And I'm from Croatia you over-reacting-kid who did a report on Nikolai and is now an "expert".

US version was put on a M60 chasis, needed only a crew of 2, and could lauch a good bit faster than this one.

The launch on a scissor bridge took around 3 minutes. So this crappy advert is way out of date(Ex Bridge-layer Commander 1980's)

@TheFalloutFanBoy also, Edison did not invent the incandescent light or the telephone either.......he simply improved on someone elses designs.
Oh and for the record, electricity occurs naturally, so no-one invented it.
triumph1974 2 years ago
As far as electricity, I meant "harnessed" not invented.
