I'm a huge hunter and respect it. That doe shouldn't of been taken with a shotgun at that distance. That was a bad shot :/ to much pain involved. You should use a center fire rifle. A deer should drop when you hit it. Not wander like it had been hit by an arrow. Especially with a 12 gauge slug. Good luck in future hunting. Focus on that aim and be more humane my friend ;)
@kwkninja Were not permitted to use rifles for deer hunting in Ohio and that doe only ran 30 yards and dropped from where I shot her and the shot wasn't all that great but she was quartered away and just started to walk away as I pulled the trigger so that's why its not the best shot but it put her down so that's what matters to me.
Good shot but i honestly dont agree with that 70 yards slug or not. personaly i would take a shot with a shot gun more then 50 yards... but thats my opinion. but good kill brotha
@MDJB12 Thats a Mossberg 500 12 gauge with a rifled slug barrel. This deer was angled quite a bit and thats why the shot was bad or maybe it was just my bad shooting.
that the same county and state i hunt in. theres definytle some big buck there. during gun season when people were driving at the sportsmen club 1 guy shot big 19 and a nice 12.
@redsneckboy red dot sight are nice when when wanna find your target fast compared to a scope it will take a little faster time to see what your aiming for. Just make sure you keep the sight nice and dry if its raining outside and you will be ok.

@ohiodeerhunter21 .........awesome...........congrats on the nice doe.............my son took his first deer this year on opening day of gun season..........he has only been hunting 2 years..............he took a 15 yard shot and his doe ran 150 yards and she was double lung shot
Thanks. I gave the deer to a buddy of mine since he is all of meat but I got the backstraps out of it. My freezer if full so I cant really fit anything else in it. I got like 3 deer in the freezer now.
