Question? What are your black politicians who represent Harlem doing about this travesty of gentrification or better yet giving away the damn community. Nothing.
"Hi, my name is Ronald J Lewis. I'm a filmmaker currently working on a documentary about Gentrification in Harlem. I wanted to ask you if I could use this footage for my film. I plan to release the film in 2010 and I guarantee that you'll receive a credit for the film."

okay - just to clarify - i didn't make that comment. My friend and roommate did under my account name. I haven't even watched this video and I just saw that I'd commented! So give me a chance to form my own opinion and then I'll comment. Sorry about that. Vanessa you get a spanking if you read this lol.
Besides, Harlem doesn't belong to just one type of person. I noticed the very clever addition of the outline of the African continent. It doesn't just belong to people of African descent; it belongs to anyone who wants to move there. I have lived in East Harlem for years and I am pleased with the so-called "gentrification." It has become safer, cleaner and overall more pleasant. I say keep it up!!!
