Covergirl has a really good bright matte orange colour, its from their "boundless colour" collection and the colour is called candy corn. I wore it on my toenails for a week and never had problems with it chipping!

Fingerpaints makes a color called "tangerine tint," it's a matte orange, but it's not pale...definitely a true orange, may mix well with a white? I bought it a few months back wanting a matte orange, but I just haven't been brave enough to wear it!

Lorraine check Walgreens b/c there is a brand of polish called Sinful Colors and I've been looking for a kelly green polish and this brand is the only one that carried that color (Nars used to have a color close called Zulu) but they might have a matte orange polish.
