tell me glen when you turned on them pumps again after turning them off

did both pumps come back on at the same time or did only one pump produce air

first and the other one did not start to produce air minutes or hours later

glen did the ap703 skimmer have 3 pumps

why did you buy this 2nd new deltec 2009 skimmer thats going, you seem to like your skimmers more than fish

Self cleaning head, I need it as I'm away it does the job all the time rather than getting someone to clean it for me! Plus it handles more!

Good skimmer but expensive

You only get what you pay for, yes they do cost but work so well, best money I have spent on my tank so far!

I'm sure it is, I've heard nothing but good things about it. I'll get one when i eventually start a reef.

@ollieflp things dont give you good aquarium water quality

if you buy things by budget only. that skimmer is not dear

for what it does, plus if you want it save up, and not going

to do any harm saving up as look there not discontinued

Hi the skimmer syphon works no problem, the video was to show the syphon working!

I turned the valve to show this if not it would have been a long time, it has worked no problem for the last 2 weeks and I think it would have empited at least 5 times!

But it would not drain the cup under normal conditions when the cup fills up slowly?

I mean the siphon would not start unless the level rises with a minimum rate?

So if you wanted to automate you would have to fill via the hose inserted in the cup. And hoping that the siphon would start. Otherwise it would fill the skimmer body with the content of the cup, i.e. into the tank :-(
