  • petition anyone?

  • I don't even care if it was the cheesiest worst show EVER!! I'd still see this!

  • Of course I agree! This was fantastic! I've always wanted to see it on Broadway, I'm pretty much obsessed with Nightmare Before Christmas. I would pay SO much money to see that. (If I had enough money.) I've even considerd putting on a local production, but then I'd have to deal with copyright issues and all the other complications. :(

  • Make it happen! It'll be more sucessful than all the Disney musicals put together.

  • They should have it on broadway they would make a fuck load of money

  • I would give an ARM and a leg to see it.

  • i wish they did have it on broadway. i would pay hard cash to go see it.

  • Yes! This needs to go Broadway! I have been talking about this for years! I would love to see this Just in time for Christmas in the Big Apple and tour all across the US. It would be amazing! I mean, they've done Beauty and the Beast and Lion King, I think Nightmare should be brought to life as well! :)

  • LOVE TO SEE IT ON BROADWAY IN NEW YORK CITY!

  • PLEASE!! I WOULD LOVE THIS! : )

  • i am a huge fan of nightmare before christmas and i woould apsaloutly love it if it went on to broadway i would definatly go and see it.

  • I'd love to see this. Heck, I'd love to be a part of it. There is no greater joy than the stage, the energy, the life, I would love to see this classic on Broadway. If they can do the Lion and Beauty and the Beast, surely they can do The Nightmare Before Christmas.

  • damn! i had this idea long time ago and i started adapting the script into a musical. im inspired to start up again!

  • I like to see it in Little Rock, Arkansas. Please.

  • YesYesYES! This would be AMAZING on the stage, my children and I, all thespians and Burton fans, have been longing to see this performed live. (and would love to perform in it of course!)

  • It was released in 1991

  • When we watched this on Christmas I told my boys the same thing - why the heck haven't they turned this into a musical? Heck, they've got Spiderman, Shrek, Mary Poppins, Beauty and the Beast, Lion King, etc. etc... The music to NBC is breathtaking.

  • :O yes!

  • oh ya!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • yeah do it do it do it do it do it do it!!!

  • Heck yes!! Build some freaking amazing puppets, get some frighteningly great singers, shoot up the stage with floresent paint and black lights and you have got yourselves a sure fire broadway hit!!!

  • JIGGLY HELL YEAH!~~~

  • FLIP YEAH!

  • yes!!! yes!!! nightmare before christmas on broadway!!!! let's pass this video quickly!!!!

  • i have always said nightmare befor Christmas should be on broadway

  • That would gain tons of money. who dosnt love nightmare before christmas? PLEASE DO THIS!!!

  • Sure,why not?

It should be cool to see a broadfway version of TNBC

  • hahaha wow I've been thinking to myself for years how much fun it would be to perform this on stage! seriously it'd be awesome! I'm glad other people think so too! :D

  • The More you Know... hahaha sorry I couldnt resist.

  • id like to see it on broadway but it would be really hard

  • its really a good idea for broadway musical of TNBC

  • that would be amazing

  • Yes, do it! I would LOVE to see that!!!! : D

  • I actually think it has already been a stage musical.

Remember, Nightmare came out years ago (back in the mid 90's if I remember correctly, I have original VHS).

I even found lyrics that were labled as "Broadway Lyrics for 'Kidnap Mr. Sandy Claws'", or something like that, and the lyrics are somewhat different then what we see and hear in the movie.

  • I'd totally go and see this movie in play form.

  • I would soooo see this !

  • i created a stage script for Nightmare.

  • @boardwalkman lol so did i

  • Really? That's awesome

  • I've always wanted to see this on broadway! I can see a coouple of problems with length and costuming but i don't think it would be too hard to work over...... I think it would be a hit!

  • that would be so cool . I have always wanted to see this video in a play.

  • if it would be on broadway or west end...

i'd probably audition for one of Oogie's Henchman...

perticulary The one in the skelton mask ^^

  • make a ton of money on this fo sho

  • be on broadway plz!!! i have alwyas wanted to audition it from this but they always say that the song has to be from broadway. this is my one of my favoritesof tim burton

  • if that happened i would be sooo happy! even though i would probably faint as soon as i heard the news lol.

  • i would absolutly love to see this at the westend :D

  • My vote for choreography would be wade robson!!! I think some of the songs could use an update like the album that was released last year "Nightmare Revisited" Tim Burton would of course design the sets. I love this idea and i may know a broadway producer that might know what to do with the idea. No Promises but it never hurts to ask

  • Sally's Song + Nightmare Revisited Version= Frickin' Awesome!

  • i knew this wasn't just my idea ^^

  • I didn't.

  • I could be a better success than all the disney musicals combined!

  • I had my doubts about putting TNBC on stage because of the visual effects. But if they made most of the monsters (excluding Jack and Sally) into Lion King like puppets, particularly like the Timon one (I haven't seen the show yet so I can't fully judge). But since I've seen a video of how they work I've just been designing the mechanics and an Oogie Boogie body suit.

The worst thing they can do is compromise Tim Burton's vision. And they'd have to extend the script to 2 hours

  • I don't really know.

  • I agree how do I write to them to encroage them cause I want to see it on broadway as well!

  • I actually wrote to Disney about the idea.

  • Really, how?

  • @boardwalkman thats really cool! i also wrote two songs to add in the show. one was for jack in christmas town delivering presents and the other was about saying goodbye to jack. i also made a this is halloween (reprise) and a whats this reprise :)

  • I've been dreaming of a Nightmare Before Christmas play for years now. I think it would exceed the success of the Lion King. I for one would see a couple of times per year if not more.

  • weird i was thinking that too!

  • I have actually designed a Jack Skellington mask for a live actor to wear should they turn TNBC into a musical. Ever since I heard this rumor I've been designing costumes for the show hoping to present them to the actual producers one day if I get the change. (I have no idea who they are). More importantly I want to know if this will really happen.

  • Nightmare + broadway = EPIC WIN!

  • did it ever happen?

  • Omgoosh. If it comes out I must watch it!

  • YYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSS

  • Well Lion King was great as a Broadway show, so why not this? I'd love to see how Disney would pull it off...

  • what does disney have to do with it?

  • Disney released TNBC

  • Nightmare Before Christmas,Julie Taymor and Tim Burton to work on Show for Broadway Christmas Broadway Season 2008-2009 i was toled.

  • Julie Taymor and Tim Burton to work on Show for Broadway Christmas Broadway Season 2008-2009 i was toled.

  • Haha, I'm in this musical...

  • I would love to see a broadway musical of TNBC. It's my all time favorite disney movie. But i think they would have to use a lot of puppets like they did with the Lion King broadway show. Jack Skellington is so tall and thin, they'd probably have to have some sort of huge puppet/suit that the person would walk just inside of to make it move.

  • you could put all new song that was never in the movie like in the door scene have jake skeleton sing "witch door will I pick" in the new musical.

  • Yes, it could have him singing about the different doors and where they might lead.

  • I think it would be a phenomenal idea, and great artist work. Hardest parts wold be some make-up and effects... Some will have to be puppets. But I will so audition to be in it.

  • I agree. If it ever does you better believe I'll have one of the first tickets sold!!!

  • HELL YEA! This would be so awesome!

  • thats okay, but it is still a really good idea to have The Nightmare Before christmas become a broadway musical

  • i must be sally! MUST MUST MUST! *GNASHES INSANELY AND RUNS FOR LIPOSUCTION*

  • That would be so cool to have this movie turned into a musical They should get Jhonny Depp to play Jack Skellington he would be awesome

  • No...they should not. It would not be good. Don't get me wrong, I think Depp is great. But not for Jack. And besides Jack needs to be at least 6'6" as thin as a rail and a tenor. None of which fit Johnny Depp. Sorry to crush your dreams.

  • uh a musicl whould be prettt sweet but a live action movie would be better (jhonny depp playing jack skellington?)

  • kool

  • That would be amazing. Seriously, Burton, Broadway adaptions are in now (Wicked, anybody?)- take advantage of this!

  • no mention of a batman musical? hehehe, why,, oh why,, oh why do u wanna kill me?
