@jldmurray13 As I am in a youth version of this, I can say, that as previously said.. This song is a audience participation song. The cast try to get the audience singing and clapping along with it. And people do actually sing at shows. They can do as they want.

Every so often the production team, WILL change the direction in a scene, i seen this in london in febuary this year and it was differant lol. they change them every so often:)
