  • There were plenty of Garter snakes especially the one above ready to shed..........a la blue eyes.

Several baby Copperheads, deadlier than the adults because they don't control the venom, and a ton of Yellow Ring Neck snakes.

  • This year was a bit slow for Copperheads except for the Night Hunter, who I tried to steer away from a nearby barn residence with a fearful occupant,

  • I live in south west PA. These poor animals get such a bad rep. I take pics too and never had a timber or a copperhead even try to strike. they just want left alone.

  • @deppideppi2 Snakes have always facinated me, even as a child, I always saw beauty.

  • love the images

  • fantastic photos! Thanks.

  • nice photos

  • I took these hand held photos with a 12MP Canon G9, at a close range. This particular Copperhead allowed me to visit its den and surrounding area several hours daily for over one month. Neither one of use ever made an agressive movement. I'm sure s/he recognized me by vibrations as I would always make a humming sound and talk softly in an admirering fashion which paid off during macro eye ball shots.

  • Thats awesome. I love snakes and I catch them any chance I get. I have a canon eos xs and would take some pics just like your great pics!
