But your argument is invalid, because Jesus himself said he didn't come to abolish the law, but to fulfill it, and that every part of the law would remain the same until all is fulfilled and heaven and Earth pass. Now has that happened? No, therefore the old testament laws are still in effect.
I enjoy some of his political commentary, and at times Bill makes great points about the education system, but he sounds really ignorant here. There's so much more to Islam that the West can be very obtuse about because of previous prejudices and the failure of properly educating people.
I'm Muslim, but when I was in my elementary years of school I attended a Christian school my Father enrolled me in (who is Muslim as well). During Christmas the school would set up a lot of events like plays, potlucks, etc.. my class had to have every student write about what Christmas meant and what their families like to do. Anyways everyone takes a turn going up to the mic on stage, and I swear every single person said Christmas was about family buying gifts, christmas trees, food, movies,etc
and maybe one or two kids said something about Jesus. When I went to give my version of what christmas is about, I said something like " To me and my family christmas is a time to remember the lessons and good examples Jesus shared with people, and to talk about his stories with my family." After that Dozens of Grandmas and Grandpas of other kids came up to me and kissed my cheek or shook my hand. They were explaining how happy they were with my speech and that I was a good

We always look at the world from this Judeo-Christian perspective that skews our idea of what is old and what isn't. I mean, our year "1" is the supposed birth of Jesus. What does that say about us?
All Abrahamic religions are new. A 600 years difference is nothing.

But the distinction, I think, is that he wasn't talking about all human history, he was talking about Islam with regards to the other main religions (unless he's a creationist lol, in which case he could actually be talking about 'all' of human history from his perspective).

I'm Muslim, but when I was in my elementary years of school I attended a Christian school my Father enrolled me in (who is Muslim as well). During Christmas the school would set up a lot of events like plays, potlucks, etc.. my class had to have every student write about what Christmas meant and what their families like to do. Anyways everyone takes a turn going up to the mic on stage, and I swear every single person said Christmas was about family buying gifts, christmas trees, food, movies,etc
