This song live is pretty full of feeling. You can feel it but I prefer the album version. I have it on my Ipod and it is a personal favorite. Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks were the two best singers to come out of Fleetwood Mac. IMHO, they made Fleetwood Mac what it was. Anyway, sure hope someday this song can be uploaded from the album version. Would be awesome to hear it on here in all its glory! :-)
to me this is about the best version of this song, its slow and powerfull in the guitar playing and the way the everything is slowed down to the point where you can actually feel yourself in the place of your life going nuts..you can feel the emotion..how everything just punches you in the gut, and because its so slow its like he's thinking as he goes of the next word and carefully choosing
@juliacochran2536 the song is not written about or to Stevie. Its about the end of his 7 year relationship with Carol Ann Harris, his next significant relationship after Stevie
I had the great pleasure of seeing Mr. Buckingham in concert a few years ago in Cincinnati and actually met him after the show...what a thrill! In my opinion some of his best work has been done over the last 10 years or so, a real rarity for an established rocker!
I just love this song loved the 80's version when i was in high school!!!first dance i went to in high school so many happy memories!! but the acoustic version i just love and could listen to over and over again wish i could have seen him when he was in vegas!!
Love this video. Thanks for posting it. I have this version of the song on my Fleetwood Mac CD that I recently purchased. But the video is wonderful in that it shows Lindsey's deep emotions when singing this song.
Any one has any information as to what was behind this song? what feelings, thoughts, heartbreakes, etc prompted him to write the lyrics? Thanks for any feedbacks if there is one.
@etuveto ~ Hi, if you mean the promo music video, then yes I do have it. (I LOVE that one too!!) However, I can't post it due to the whole coyright thing. I know that it would be sited ASAP if I did. Sorry. (:

First time I heard the acoustic version of this song was on "The Dance" and did not know that thi masterpiece was conceived early in 1992 during the cradle times :-) My best CD of all time. Thanks ever so much for posting this version.
Saw FM in Sydney on Monday night and they played this song. Was the first time I had ever heard it and am completely obsessed with it now. Is an absolute favourite of mine now. Lindsey was nuts on stage, just a genius, too good for words to describe.
This is very nice... but have to admit its the first time I ever heard it.. I think it will grow on me though.. his voice is awesome here. What passion! He just seems to put everything into his singing and guitar playing.. its moving. Thanks much for this Jackie :)
Saw FM's Unleashed tour concert on Thursday - LB never left the stage all night - and was the absolute star of the show. A musician, composer and lyricist of breathtaking quality and genius. Love this site...
@jaffabootie I took my wife and her father and my mother to go see Fleetwood in Cleveland about 6 years ago and it was probably the best concert I have ever been to. Buckingham Rocked. Love his guitar skills.
Thanks so much!! Unfortunately, Countdown wasn't a part of this particular concert, but ~ This Is The Time was. I wasn't planning on posting that one, but I will do it for you (in a short while). (:
Ahh! Thank you so much! You are truly and awesome individual! That's a shame about Countdown, I always thought that, along with Street of Dreams were his best off of Out of the Cradle
You're VERY welcome. That whole album is AWESOME, but those two songs that you mentioned are my faves (along with ~ You Do Or You Don't) from that album too!! (:

Was he missing anything else from that performance to become so underrated both as a guitar player and a singer?

No one can ever say Lindsay Buckingham doesn't lay it all out there.

Singing from te heart & from the very depths of his soul. too cool!

This song clicks a lot better with the Spanish guitar here than the dance-pop thing he did with the album. In my opinion.

Lindsey Buckingham. Under-rated musical genius. Obviously not metal but killer nonetheless.
