  • there are silver dollars in there but the pacus are the ones eating the goldfish.. "red belly"

  • Those are not pacu

  • looks like 1 silver dollar and 2 pacu to me........

  • Thats not actually a pacu, it's a red-bellied piranha, pacu's aren't as long, they're more circular shaped, also pacu have a large bright red anal fin.

  • @iShowist your wrong. i owned a tank full of piranhas... pacus are longer than piranhas. and red belly piranhas have blood red fins on the bottom as well as their eyes are much larger. Piranhas have smaller eyes and dont hold food in their mouth. they bite/tear/rip and swim off.... they dont hold because they have teeth that are razor sharp. Pacus have balded teeth such as our molars... they have to hold their food to crush it to swallow it

  • @iShowist RED BELLY PIRAHNAS HAVE A BLACK AND SILVER TAIL ITS A PACU AND ALSO THOSE FISH ARE WAY TO LONG TO BE A RED BELLY

  • @iShowist ACCUALLY I MIGHT BE RONG THE COULD BE SILVER DOLLARS TO

  • ma i pesci pulitori non se li mangiano??

  • i tought that pacus didnt eat fish.

my 2 pacus live with 2 guramis 1 swordtail 1 zebrafish and 1 koi.

  • @MrCle2009 they dont but they will eat dead ones he obviously killed the fish before feeding it to the pacu

  • mines about six inches and i also have a gar i heard its bad to feed them goldfish and thats what i feed them is this true???

  • so cute

  • When he gets huge he'll be able to suck two up in one gulp mine does that all the time

  • haha wen he gets bigger hell just suck it right in mine does lmao

  • sei un'italiano testa di cazzo

  • vuoi fare l'americano collione

  • this fish is the pacu red belly rite the vegeterian

  • hahahha i used to have pacus, but i got rid of them because they are dumb as hell

  • ahh its so adorable

  • help my pacu only eats dead stuff!!!

  • @dashina17 starve it for a couple days, it wont die trust me and then throw in some feeder fish and it might not it eat in front of you the first couple times but if starved it will eat alive stuff.

  • That pacu reminds me of the red belly piranha

  • lol look at my tank got same size pacu n sdz:]

  • once my pacu gets big im going sell it but figure out what to put it in

    any suggestions???

  • pacus are smei aggresive some ppl cant keep them because wen they get to big they dont know wat to do wih them but u can also feed them worms i keep real live plants in mine

  • god why do they sell so many damn pacu to people that have no business keeping them? hope you found a swimming pool for them to live in

  • what is the song?

  • @victortellez94

    Song: After Dark

    Artist: Tito & Tarantula

  • I have a 3.5 inch red belly pacu in a 55 gallon aquarium with a hatchet fish, eclipse catfish and a goby eel

  • i dont think red belly pacu's are that aggresive the fish is already dead when he put it therei have my red pacu in my community tank and he never touches any other fish i have lots of mollies

  • Whats the song? thanks

  • i E> PACUS,I HAVE 2 ,I HATE BYING FISH FOOD SO I FEED THEM ANYTHING IN THE FRIDGE,THE BEST THING FOR THEM TO EAT WOULD BE LETIS,CARETS,AND CELLARY OR ANY VEGGIES................ME, I FEED THEM CARRETS,CELLARY,BALONY,HAM,AND BACON..............GOOD FISH

  • @masterhunter8995 1st balonie ham and bacon are the worst thing to feed them 2nd u probaly feed them veggies with preservatives witch means u fail at keeing fish

  • what veggies can pacus eat?

  • they re but that doesnt mean they wont eat meet but sometimes youll get retards that will feed them meet even though it destoys there digestive system

  • it's too hard to tell if that's a red piranha or pacu due to the size. they both look the same when theyre small. so, whatever

  • when their young look at their tails.a pacus tail is bigger then a piranhas

  • dats piranha pacu eat like they swallow and they bite ti inside their mouth

  • does pacu fish has teeth?

  • @caliburn0911 - yes pacus have teeth lol. not sharp like piranha though. they're sort of flatter. still sharp enough to bite things though.

  • my pacus are about 7 inches now and they wont eat live food, and I often add rosy reds for my cichlids they live with. They only eat pellets and occasional vegatable i put in. Will they when they get bigger or do some just never eat live food?

  • they're vegetarians, like all vegetarian fish they'll eat meat if it's the only thing available, but it's not healthy for them to have it as a main part of their diet

  • gotcha. thx.

  • In the wild, they eat small portions of meat often, but that just consists of sick small and dead fish. they will always eat meat most of the time. But you are right, giving them to much meat will make them unhealthy.

  • pacus may grow up to 6 feet long ive heard stories of people owning them and they got so big ove r1 ft that they put them in there pond

  • i fed my pacus danios an they loved them

  • can someone help me i don`t know if i can feed my pacu that is 20cm long with goldfish plz help.

  • u are a sick person

  • go cry to peta.

  • Find somthing else (not saying this to be an anti live food hippie) gold fish have barley any nutrition and can carrey deseases. Pacus also don't need alot of meat feed them dried food vegitabels and maybe some bloodworms or frozen silver side fish. pinkie mice make a better live food than goldfish. Hope this helps a little.

  • pacus are piranhas?

  • no not really

pacus are cousin to pihrana but omnivores, while pihrana are predators

  • That's a piranha.

  • its a pacu, cousins of the piranha. piranhans jaws stick out and anal fin is smaller

  • ok i need help i have one piranha red belly and i want to add two more but i dont want the new ones to get attacked do you guys no how to do this help me plzzzzz

  • buy relatively same sized ones or try to ..also if you have a tank divide use it and see how your other one reacts to the new fish in the tank.

  • eazy peezy lemon squeezy....take the pirahna you have out of your tank and place in a container 4 a couple hours.then put all 3 back into the main tank. your original pirahna will feel like a stranger again once he is placed in the tank again and will have no territory to fight for.

  • those are piranhas becase they have spots pacus dont

  • when pacus are small to medium they have spots.

  • your going to need a bigger tank

  • Actually pacu need a minimum of 300 gals.

Seeing as they turn into 3 foot schooling fish.

  • no not 3 feet.....trippin...

  • Yes they do.

    Google ''adult pacu''

  • no

    not the red bellied kind

and actually the max is 30 inches, attained by a black pacu, which gets twice as big

so for this kind, ur looking at about 10-15 inches on average

  • no you are wrong i have never seen a 38 lb fish that is 10-15 in but i have seen a 2foot red belly 38lbs

  • im just saying they generally stay from 10-15 inches

same way, you may have seen some people 7 feet tall, but most people don't grow past 6 feet tall

    same way

pacus CAN attain 2 feet, but generally stay at a little over 1 foot

  • i think you are wrong they never quit growing

  • im afraid that completely wrong

    haha

    never stop growing?

    really?

    that's kinda retarded...

if that were true, you would encounter pacus the size of whales

    do some research buddy

  • it depends on the size of the tank, they can grow up to 34" or so i've heard, their growth is related to the size of the tank they're in

  • I doubt they can reach 34", but I wouldn't say its impossible. And the size of the tank limiting the size of the fish is a common myth. In most cases it's true, but there's a reason to it. Fish release a toxin called ammonia, this is what we aquarists strive to eliminate. In small tanks, the amount of ammonia can really build up to a high concentration. This stunts the growth of the fish. But fish like snakeheads are not very susceptible to toxins, sometimes they can't even turn in their tanks.

  • your explanation sir. have made me sound like a jckass haha. made sense too. keep it up

  • pacu grow up to 80 cm max

  • red bellies lose the red and turn black. Therefore people confuse them for black pacu. True blacks are black on the lower half, and a dark greenish color on the top.

No red bellied pacu will max at anywhere near 10 inches, unless something is seriously wrong with it.

  • dont buy pacu unless you have a 90+ gallon tank. and thats just for 1.

  • I saw a silver dollar! i love silver dollars. they are 1 of the best pacu companions!

  • oh these guys look cool. i have some bala sharks tinfoils and big goldfish. can i keep pacu with them. are pacu available in most fish stores?

  • this video is a year old but i hope their tank is bigger now cuz they get really really big and shouldn't live in large groups unless you can afford the space they need (which is 55+ gallons PER fish)

  • hmm i wonder if the fish was alive before went in.......

  • are pacus piranhas? or just in the same family

  • they are cousins to the piranhas, much more peaceful.

  • they look alike but they are complitly diffrent fish

  • They always look cute when they're young =D

  • What song is this?

  • man my pacu was exactly like urs, but he couldnt survive in my cichlid tank, any tips on how to help them survive when i get a new one, the one mistake i made was tht the one i bought wasnt very big, but he wasnt the smallest

  • Pacu's are Omnivorous, which is anything!

  • the silver dollar is cool

  • pacu adapt to eat anything but are mainly vegitarian.

  • Man hardcore but I thought Pacu's are only vegetarians?

  • yes is a provvisory tank

soon il buy a bigger tank for introduce piranhas too

  • How big is your tank, I read they grow to 60cm or more, lol.

  • do you like my 2 pucu ?
