No, you don't get it. Does Colette have an animation for attacking? Yes, and while it would look cheesy since it wouldn't follow the swords exactly, it would be a lot better than what it currently is. Which is a single frame moving up and down and not even ATTEMPTING to follow the animation. Colette's jumping animation for going up, aerial attack animation when coming down. That would, at least, look better.

So, she does nothing, and has just one frame for the attack.

Texture hack is simply keeping the same polygons and recoloring the texture on the polygons.  This hack completely replaces Lloyd's polygons and frame movement with Colette's, but the swords move the same way as if Lloyd was still holding them.
