Perhaps the Casio Ex-F1 should also be considered an SLR.
If it wasn't for the rolling shutter problem of the Nikon, I'd say it's worth it. In the meantime, I'll settle for the best consumer camera money can buy: the Canon HF100/10/HG20/30/HV30 etc.
Of course, you wouldn't get this kind of depth of field, but still, you'd be surprised what you can do with those Canon HD cameras.
You can, by using any SLR with a 50mm prime lens attached and set to the widest aperture opening! What used to be the film plane in cameras will in the future be CCD sensors to record movies!
HD or higher quality is always good only if you have a great big LCD or Plasma screen. It's like having a Ferrari driving around in CBD traffic... too much power, nowhere to use it!
Now HD movies in DSLR's are the way to go because you can use interchangeable Lenses!
Canon and Nikon have an arsenal of about 40 to 50 various lenses...
cool, of course you have to remember its really the lens that controls the depth of field

I want that, but I want it with the capability to record sound also. So I'll wait, hehe!
ArdieVerde 3 years ago
The Nikon D90 and the Canon 5D Mk2 both have built in Mono recording, but the Canon has Stereo input jacks!
Waiting has it's virtues though... he he!
Cheers, RD!
