Okay so what about If it wasnt love before marriage.. but a modest boy had seen a modest girl around.. say school/college.
And he likes the girls deen and how modest she is and wants to marry her?
thats not love.. just kind of similar to arranged isnt it? because at the end of the day the two people only know limited things about eachother just like how it is in arranged marriages, but instead of parents picking out people for them.. they found one themself?
@BStarAA What is being spoken about is having a (boyfriend/girlfriend) relationship before marriage, however, finding a spouse for yourself is completely allowed as long as the two individuals do not transgress the boundaries of a premarital relationship.
Not all men are dogs in the streets and not all women are waiting to hook up,may i ask why all the examples are extreme, where are the modest men and modest muslim women, who would propose to the girl instead of tell her about the moon and stars??what about a woman that cant stand the sight of her husband that was married without a glance or a look? do you know how many women are stuck in forced marriages?please answer
@Suzax5 Who said anything about forced marriages? Islam doesn't encourage forced marriages. Islam forbids any kind of illicit relationships before marriage because it leads to thing more worse. That doesn't mean that you can't see the person your going to marry, you can but there has to be a mahram (person you can't marry) present between the couple.
The Prophet (SAW) said that when a man and a woman are alone, Satan is the third person.
arranged marriages are not forced marriages, however love marriage is not aloud in Islam, there is not such thing as love before marriage. arranged marriages is when your profile is shown to a brother/sister and if they want to go ahead with it then they meet you at yours/his/her's house and you both can ask questions. forced marriages is absolutely not aloud in islam - the marriage will be invalid if yourself and your partner do not accept it. Hope this has helped you Suzax5
