I have a question...

I have set up a VPN as a home solution.

All I can do while connected via VPN is surf the web using my home IP.

when I try to access my local resources, nothing pops up on the remote machine. All that pops up on the server end is tsclient, with no type of resources or anything. I have net discovery on and all my ports are forwarded correctly. What could be the problem?

@g0d11c3 Don't panic, seeing your IP wouldn't help anyone getting your pictures or your living address, they'll always return to your ISP provider address.

@agentwes10 This will not work. You will need to set up a VPN server or use something like LogMeIn Hamachi.
