  • -*tut tuuut tuut*

    -*DDDDUUUUUUUUUUTTT*

  • 3:15 Rasta rocket :p

  • Imagine high diving off of the top

  • actually alot of cruise ships are made in finland. i no disney and royal caribbean get there boats made in finland and i may be wrong so dont qoute me but i think carnival to

  • holy shit its huge

  • This is one of the few things that are still made in Finland. Very strong products.

  • Dont think much of Oasis's new album!!!!!!

  • wow the ship so big

  • the biggest motherfucker ever

  • i dream to visit this

  • THE SIZE.....

  • I will be there next year :))) this year i was at adventure of the seas :))

  • your my wonderwall

  • 3:04 loving that staff member whos desperately trying to cheer up the people :)

  • i wonder what mpg it gets.

  • Well, we know Jaws can't bite a hole in the side of this booger, lol!

  • They have these really cool things that you can look through and there are 3D pictures in them and I found out that if you go to the art gallery in central park they will give you a map with all of them on there all you have to do is ask them for it :]

  • yeaaahhh I'm on it @ the end of july <3

  • Im making that in minecraft. Its seriously big.

  • Magnific Cruise ...

  • i have a boat bigger than that in my driveway, i pull it with a Smart.

  • i was on this ship last week, i think i am starting to miss it lol

  • If that thing sinks, the captain and CEO of RCC are going to shit a brick... big time.

  • I love when ships and boats honk their horns at each other. :-)

  • anyone knows whats the price for a cruise with that THING?

  • imagine captains face while hes driving that :P

  • @MrHellaspit,

Yes, the captain must be very proud that he can drive this ship. ;-)

  • I was sitting at home. IN EUROPE. And heard that DAMN HORN. Goddamnit.

  • Oasis is the best band in the world

Oasis is the biggest ship in the world

Fuck me! Is there even something big called Oasis?

  • Comment removed

  • I hope it sinks.

  • @Dime7 I hope u die.

  • @Dime7 Like Titanic

  • The Finnish know-how, the world's best :-)

  • Is this the most luxury ship in the world or is it the twin ship allure of the seas, witch is 5 metre longer than oasia of the seas.

  • biggest i ever see in my life

  • I was on deck 17 in room 52, awesome ship!

  • tweet tweet! honk honk!

  • Para mim é pequeno. Eu derrubo-o com meus pés.

  • so wen is it going to sink

  • Um MortageMobile Which Is Bigger? Allure Of The Seas Or Oasis Of The Seas Or Are They The Same Size?

  • @MegaLMV, They Say Allure Of The Seas Is Slightly Longer, But I Seriously Doubt That The Difference Is Intentional Or Even Measured. The Tolerances Aren't That Small.

BTW, Why Are You Writing Like This?

  • Hmmm , I pray no freak or rogue wave hits it ,like in poseidon the movie, the ship doesnt look balanced ,the building is too high for the hull , since they want to make ships bigger why dont they build a floating city ,like the floating airport in Japan and build resorts on that island ,pretty sure that would be fun too right,

  • Thanks for a great video

  • holy..#@$ its amazing what we can build!!!

  • @35stevo GO HUMANS!

  • thatsa big mothafucka!

  • Like most RCI ships she has a good profile but from some 3/4 angles she is not so attractive. Oasis and Allure are WIDE and that is not their best angles. From the side they look almost sleek w/typical RCI curves.

  • My God. I tell you, if YouTube has done nothing else... it has really shed light on just how many insanely stupid/dumbass/moronic people, actually live on this planet. The "water canon salute" or to dumb it down for all the idiots commenting on here... "throwing/spraying water at the boat", is a traditional practice used in both aviation, as well as shipping. When a brand new ship/boat is launched/retired, the vehicle usually receives a water canon salute as a "welcome home" type gesture.

  • This thing has life boats hanging by the sides the size of aircraft carriers

  • shes huge!!!!!!!! 16 decks, 1,181 feet long? now thats a cruise ship

  • Made in Finland :)

  • @Kemusika And classified by DNV, I was working for this vessel as potty position.

  • @Kemusika Rode In America

  • @Kemusika what are you trying to prove?

  • @claton95 That one of the largest cruise ships are made in Finland.

  • whats with the helicopters and water cannons?

  • Why are they spraying water away from the boat , Im confused

  • The PPL on the ship is that the crew ?

  • wtf are they doing? like the boats throwing water?

  • @DavidRockin1 Cleaning it off

  • wtf.. how could this video have dislikes o.O

  • @AirplaneturboFan are you agreeing with me ??

  • @AirplaneturboFan you confuse me :$

  • @luqejorge

That pig is a boorish and vulgar monstrosity.

Hopefully it'll end up at the bottom of the Atlantic (but with no deaths other than, perhaps, the executives who commissioned such a testament to the grotesque).

The only thing that could ever be beautiful about that ship is HD video footage of fire pouring out of almost every opening amidships while it lists 40 degrees to port before turning stern up and diving to the bottom of the Atlantic ocean.

  • @AirplaneturboFan ....better yet...seeing your airplane as a smoking hole would be beautiful

  • @joeu071570

Sorry, the ugliest planes are far more beautiful and elegant than this fucking floating box.

The average container ship is more graceful and elegant than that slab-sided shitbox known as the "Oasis of the Seas."

  • @AirplaneturboFan Clearly you're in a huge minority on what you consider "beautiful" lol.

  • Wow we HUMANS ARE BEASTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT I would'mt even bbe able to build a Laptop or i would'nt go to the moon or take pictures of OTHER GALAXIES WE ARE AMAZING IN almost EVERY WAY HUMANS FTW!!

  • there's about 20 small ships accompanying this huge one

  • I can't wait to take a cruise on Oasis of the Seas!! That thing is incredible!

  • Amazing! I can't get over how big this is!!

  • We are going on sept 25 going to be awesome

  • progress = bigger cruise ships and less biodiversity, daym that a big boat

  • @danthemanzizzle, on the other hand modern ships like Oasis of the Seas also help to protect the environment. Its propulsion system probably allows it to use dynamic positioning instead of anchoring to the bottom in sensitive areas, and the only things that come out from the exhaust pipes are baby seagulls.

  • @tupsumato gotcha on the seabed stuff but we need to take cutting down cumbustion seriously, maybe not if we had 1 billion people in the world but with 7 billion of us... we are definately affecting the biosphere and the scary part is in alot of ways we dont even know how.

  • Why are they spraying water on the side from those tug boats?

  • @newnagasaki -- They are not actually spraying water on the ship. The fireboats are actually just a sort of traditional celebration in welcoming a new ship in to a harbor. You used to see it a lot in New York Harbor when the old ocean liners came in from Europe. Sometimes they would even color the water red and blue at holidays.

  • @1baillee

My immediate idea is crowd control and ability to maybe even sink a small motorboat before it causes any damage.

  • what day is the allure arriving at port everglades? what time exactly?

  • The captain is Norwegian on the oasis of the sea=). i have been on the boat. the best boat ever. this is the biggest boat they will made because of the bridge in Denmark! And i have eat with the captain on the ship. best vecesion ever.

  • i wonder how long it would take to walk from one side to the other...

  • maldicion esa cosa es enorme....................cuanto habran tardado en construirla..

  • i wish i could work on that ship .....! my dream will come true

  • Are you going to put Oasis of the seas sailaway

  • @benjito45 - Yes, we have filmed a few Sailaways of the Oasis of the Seas. We also plan to film the arrival of the Allure of the Seas into Port Everglades in November of 2010. Stay tuned and Enjoy!

  • Made in Finland ;)

  • why do the little boats spray water?? to make the arrival more cool??

  • @racsopetrenas........... Sort of. It is just an old tradition to welcome a new ship in to the harbor. Sometimes at holidays, they will tint the water red and blue.

  • There are no two ways about it. That ship is FUCKING HUGE!

  • I've been on a cruise before, just eating and sleeping all day. It was to alaska :D Well worth the trip. I went on 4 excursions, and overall, one of the best vacations

  • Can't afford to go on the Oasis of the Seas?

  • Is it thier first port after being built?

  • :D Soo beutiful

  • man, that ship is massive and beautiful

  • You can see it every friday and saturday from my dads motel. Its amazing how huge it is!

  • y r their boats spraying water everywhere

  • Amazing! Interesting comments. My parents were on the Oasis last month and said they never felt crowded at all...but we live in New Jersey LOL. I love to cruise, love RCI, and would eventually like to do so on the Oasis or Allure of the Seas.

  • She's a beauty!! I booked my cruise on her in late April. I saw her come into the Harbour.....it was an awesome sight to behold!!

  • It has 18 lifeboats that each hold over 350 people.

  • They need to build a ship that should at least be 5 times bigger than this.

  • @cableconnection6 google: Freedom Ship

  • to answer the ? about the lifeboats., they dont look like alot of them but they haave like 6 in each row and fit around 100 people i may be talking out of my aass on the 6in each ro, i cant quite remember, but im sure they wouldnt make a ship this big able to sink...im going in 11 days! wish me luck :D

  • @spikeyboy4444

Any ship can sink. No matter how great the builder. Or the size of a ship. It can always sink.

Really depends how much it can take to sink it. But i do not like top heavy ships. Be assured they will be large inflatable life boats. You will be fine.

    Have a nice time.

  • @G777GUN, I don't think you can find a modern passenger ship that doesn't look "top heavy" and yet they don't have stability issues. If the center of gravity is too low (i.e. the ship is over-stable), it will be uncomfortable to the passengers due to rolling.

  • @tupsumato

Yamato needed 150,000 hp it could do 27 knots, empty 65,000 tons . New Jersey needs 212,000 hp to do 33 knots, empty 45,000 tons. This ship needs 186,000 hp to do 22 knots, 100,000 tons. The ship has a very shallow hull. Which makes it fast using less engine power. But with a downside. Dont get me wrong its a beuty. But in a storm i dont like that. Does she have ballast tanks? Her waterline is thin.

So is everything else. I dont like it. But we will see in future.

  • G777GUN, Oasis of the Seas has three 20 MW Azipod units so the maximum propulsion power available is only a bit over 80,000 hp. It's longer and wider than both Yamato and New Jersey and has a draft between the two battleships, but is considerably slower. So... what's your point with all the numbers? The ships can't really be compared.

  • @G777GUN, as for stability, even though the ship looks "top heavy", its center of gravity is not that high. The central park and broadwalk remove a large portion of the superstructure, and all the heavy machinery, water and fuel tanks etc. are located below the waterline. I'm sure there are some ballast tanks as well, but mainly because the weight of fuel and water in the tanks changes over time, not because of initial stability.

  • @tupsumato

Battleships are made to fight in different weather conditions. Yamato is a wide hull. Very stable. New Jersey is built for speed. stable also. The O ot S, er need a shorter name, maybe OotS? The OotS has a wide hull and is very long. Sorry about the max hp of the ship. Thats sounds okay that the CG is quite low.

Also sounds quite fast for a 80,000 hp ship. The upper section must be pretty lightweight material.

    Thank you tupsumato.

  • G777GUN, operating area, profile and weather conditions affect quite a lot to the design of a ship. OotS is a cruise ship operating in the relatively sheltered Caribbean Sea, not an ocean liner crossing the Atlantic ocean regularily in winter storms. Normal storms are not a problem and hurricanes can be avoided.

  • @G777GUN, people who are concerned about the stability of OotS often forget that increasing width increases initial stability very quickly and OotS is very wide. Could be more stable than many smaller ships out there...

They said at school that OotS is made of steel, so the material in the upper parts of the superstructure is quite likely high-strength steel. Also, I wouldn't call OotS fast, but since it's one of the newest ships, it has one of the most efficient hulls and propulsion.

  • @spikeyboy4444, each lifeboat can carry 370 passengers. They're the biggest ever built.

  • Finland makes the best ships :)

  • @lovlydiva06 she's taking a voyage in november you know (november 2010)

  • i don't see too many lifeboats, lol but she is a beauty

  • beautiful, i'd love to take a vacation on this beast

  • I love the way the ship appeared to be competing with the other horn noises around it.........and smothering them completely!! NOOOOOOOOORRRRTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!

  • Dayumm!!!!! That thing is HUGE. I wonder how it would look if an air-craft carrier was side by side with it.

  • makes the other ships look like toys

and talk about MPG on that thing

  • lmao, MPG ahaa

  • anybody know why the tug boats are spraying water?

  • To keep boats away

  • @fieldofbrown Possibly just for fun and other that small ships wont come too close

  • lol at the end all the little boats go to see the ship when it stops...

id kill to have a week holiday on that beast..

  • omg, it's like on the titanic movie (at the beginning somewhere... ( 3:05 > )

  • what is the draft on this thing?

  • IS there such a thing as TOO BIG? Let's say that thing ever has an accident...how many rescue vessels would you need to save JUST THE CREW?

  • Wow really cute ship = ]

    luv it Floridaa rocks :D

  • Things huge, i wonder how much power it consumes. It's a work of art.

  • @TheRevolutionary465, it can be easily calculated, at least for the maximum continuous output of the generating sets. Of course in reality 100% of the available power is practically never used, so the actual fuel consumption when the ship is steaming full ahead with all cabins booked would be something like 80%, I guess.

  • Do you know what kind of power is used to raise and lower the ride bar? And I can't imagine how big the battery of this ship must be. it must cost a fortune.

  • I'm not sure, but if I had to guess, I'd say either hydraulic or electric. Perhaps someone who has been aboard could answer better.

However, the ship has no "battery" as you might've understood it. The diesel generating sets in the engine room are running all the time, producing electricity for everything. Of course there's an emergency battery in case the emergency generator fails, but it can only power some lights and such for a limited time.

  • lol had no clue. thanks for informing me

  • You're welcome. I'm always happy to answer ship-related questions.

  • Damn! huge! I go outa port Everglades next month woo!

  • that is huge.....its not even funny id be scared to death to ride on that thing

  • Can anyone tell me why the boats are spraying water. I hope there is a practical reason.

  • @John27346

No practical reason for spraying the water.

They are just making a fountain to celebrate the arrival.

  • Oh. That's disappointing.

  • why is there soo much other boats on its side????

  • It looks so top heavy.

I would not want to be on that in a strong cross wind

  • You're forgetting about it's weight.

  • @John27346

The more weight on the top = more of a problem in rough seas. The lower the weight the better.

The taller the boat the more of a sail effect with the balconies compounding the problem

  • I didn't say it was top-heavy; I said it is heavy.

  • @agusta1968 Its mostly aluminum on the top, so its not really top heavy. The engines and generators and most of the heavy stuff is on the first 4 or 5 decks.

  • Yes and the large interior open atriums on top help too. Im no saying it is top heavy. It just looks top heavy

  • why..............

  • Why is the ships that shoot water for?

  • Yayy!!! finland!

  • oh, for this world! for human being! the warming of this planet!

    stupid!

  • It actually has a very low carbon footprint due to modern methods of carbon reduction, and because it contains a total of 7000 people, that means it is keeping 7000 people from driving cars etc, for a week period whilst they're on the ship. Therefore, it may actually have a negative impact when you think of it that way.

  • HOLY!!!!!! cow

  • It's amazing something that huge can float..LOLLL

  • hahah 1:03 owned...little squeaks...then BOOOMM

  • It is 5 times bigger than Titanic with crew of 2100 ppl and passenger capacity of 5400 ppl.

  • @videouzleg wrong

  • Made in Finland! :)

  • Turku is not finland's ass hole any more x)

  • I was just on the Oasis. Incredible ship but crowded, way too many people.

  • What camera did you use?

  • Хочу туда!!!!)))

  • wow big cruise ship

  • Un-frigging believable! I guess this is the largest moving man made object in the world!

  • No. Knock Nevis is the largest moving man made object in the world.

  • Made in finland :]

  • It was nice to be 1 of the welders in biggest cruiser in the world. Take care of it.

  • i saw the flag of the Philippines waving ehehehehe !!!

  • i know there is a tradition were people blow their blow horns when a ship leaves...there must of been a boom in blow horn sales the week Oasis came

  • I'm surprised such a large ship can float, lol! I've been on the Freedom class and the Voyager class. I was on Liberty of the Seas in 2007. I didn't mind the size. Can they build bigger than Oasis? Will royal caribbean try to build bigger? That's an interesting question.
