The information is stored in a header. Kindalike when you open an mp3 and it loads the artist, title, album, year, and sometimes even album art. Well when a video is uploaded to youtube, they write the fact that its copywrited into the file. If you were to rip it, then modify it, even slightly, and resaved it, you could upload it
