Hi Kimberly. Just recently bought a 1995 Alembic Epic V, and while waiting for it to arrive did a big search for any info on the web, and discovered your YouTube bass solos.
I enjoy them very much, and also find them inspirational.
A question please- What strings do you use on your Epic. There are so many to choose from, and I like your tone.
It would help to understand the depth of your genius and the inspiration behind it to watch you loop the music and manipulate the drum tracks instead of catching you in the early mathematics after all is set in motion.
I've seen female bass players, lefties playing right hand stringing - even a few who pluck with their pinky. But never a combination of all three! That's pretty unique, I'll remember you from now on no matter what. Like Bill Clements.
My left hand fingering is actually all done with my index and little fingers, as I lost half of my middle and ring fingers in a childhood accident. :)
I've always been a bassist. Of course I've 'messed around' with a guitar, but never liked the string spacing so I just never did anything serious with one. :)
wicked groove, i might be seeing things or just plain crazy, but are you playing a left handed bass strung upsidedown? cause it looks like your playing the bottom strings for your lows?
Nope, you're seeing things or just plain crazy. :) Well, at least as far as me playing left handed "upside down" with right hand stringing. ;)
Goes way back in time to when I was first learning to play. I didn't own my own instrument so had to borrow a friends. I don't think he would of appreciated me changing the strings around to, what would have been to him, upside down. :D

Awesome! As a lefty that "lucked" out with getting a left-handed Bass off the bat,I still wonder what if...Takes special skills to play inverted.
