Nice fight, you make good sparring partners for each other. Why is it, in some grappling spars or matches, gloves are worn when no punches or strikes are permitted, only grappling? It does allow opponents opportunity to practice grappling with gloves in preparation for matches where gloves must be worn. Is that the only reason??
@LightninLew I'm saying that you don't cross your anckles for the obvious foot lock. But yea body triangles are good too. Its more about preference. Marcello Garcia doesn't use body triangles that much.
@LightninLew there are still plenty of ways to attack the legs if someone has a body triangle on you. better to get good at the proper back control rather than a fancy back control. what if you come up agasint some big f$%ker and can't lock your feet.
@arsehatbackwards If you just cross your ankles or hook the thighs you will lose a lot of pressure on at your knees. I find a body triangle to be the best and easiest because I'm light, against people out of my weight class I find that hooking the thighs leaves less wriggle room but is equally ineffective though because of their strength advantage.

@joeylz96 No, you should go for a body triangle, it's far more secure and can be painful enough to take attention away from the neck.
