Fabulous. The only other revival of this I ever heard was by Ondrej Havelka from the Czech Republic. The Czechs and Slovaks have far more rgard for this sort of stuff than we do. You've got to admire that, given their almost total lack of historical connection with it.
This posting deserves a comment. A bit away from the known recordings of the Temperence Seven but still fantastic and indicative of their wonderful music. I remember these guys back when I was about 19 or so, in the 1960's and they were just great. They acheived a unique status as pop stars on the one hand but , at the same time, being fully accepted in the more elite Jazz circles of the time.
I have this LP, loved their music, they came to my school in Nuneaton and played at a Fete when I was about 14, 1960, real muscians!
