You are probably putting the character inside of an object or a door, make sure they are in a clear space with no objects.

The only problem I have is that when I come back to the first map, everything's reset. Is there a way to keep everything as you left it? Because there's a cutscene at the start of my first map, and when I come back to it, the characters are standing there staring at each other and yeah, everything's out of whack.

add more characters on your map? create a new event and chose a graphic as a character. there are many options in the menu you can make them talk walk around and fight you ect.

So is teleporting the only way to transfer from map to map?

Is there any way to make an entire side of a map teleport you to a corresponding side without individually place teleport events on each square??

Have a chest as an event...

-have the 1st page with the Action key ON

and have the graphic as a chest.

then (in move event) change the graphic to a chest that is a little bit more open... Wait

3 frames... Repeat until open...

Activate a switch/variable...Say "Chest1"

create a second page with the condition "Chest1" ON and have the graphic as a fully opened chest.

and you dont relly need anything else unless its text saying "NOTHING INSIDE"... XD ...

I have a question: I'm working on my own rpg now and I have trouble with a quest making, the quest must be like: "Bring me 4 flowers?" |I know how to make a quest with one item, but how do you make a quest with more items needed for the same quest master??

make it so the item is unsellable, as well as each time you gain a "flower" it adds 1 pt to the quest's switch and make it so the event/switch for the completion requires it's value to be 4, idk if that made sense or not

it's easy export, inport, but you change it, but you're too lazy to do that...
